What do YOU think we're going to see in the June Nintendo Direct? Massive thanks to SEGA and ATLUS for sponsoring today's video! Check out Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance on June 14th: gsght.com/c/z8jog3
Instead of Kid Icarus Uprising Star Fox Assault on the Gamecube. It fits the 3D Action game category like Kid Icarus. We've seen that nintendo made a brand new StarFox trade mark. Lastly, Bandai Namco were the ones that made StarFox Assault in the first place.
Tomodachi Life Needs a Remake or a Sequel to Tomodachi Life and this Is The the game’s 10 year anniversary and Nintendo Doesn’t care about the Fans of MIIS like Where is The Tomodachi Life Mii News Direct
I can already tell there's going to be someone upset that no Switch 2 news was revealed in the June Direct despite it already being confirmed by the President of Nintendo that there'll be no mention of the Switch successor in that Direct. Would be pretty cool to hear more news about Metroid Prime 4 and Professor Layton!
Which is really dumb because the switch still needs to get finished off, and i think it’s likely we either get a switch two focused direct or it’s in February over a normal direct.
You already know! When the day of the Direct arrives, I’ll be there for Roger’s reaction! Well, if I don’t have to work, that is, but if I do, that reaction will be the first thing I watch when I’m done.
Same, but given how badly the previous Olympic games preformed, idk if it would happen. The last 3 Olympic games (including the winter one in 2018) didn't sell well and didn't have a lot of critical acclaim to them.
I didn't realize how much I played DK64 as a kid until I could heard all the sound effects & music cues in that small bit of footage Roger showed (despite there being no actual game audio)
I think new Z-A info (trailer or otherwise) would depend on how early in 2025 that game is coming out. If it's a Feb/March game, then I can see the possibility. If it's a November game, it's harder to envisioning TPC releasing a trailer for it more than a year in advance (I know there's a teaser, but that's more of a "don't worry, we're doing something!" kind of update for PKMN Day). So I guess the bigger question is, are they gonna have two mainline games next year like they did Arceus and SV in 2022?
IMO, knowing the Pokémon Company and how well both Arceus and S/V sold, it would be hard to imagine Z-A is the only game they’re working on for 2025. Especially with Z-A also being a Legends game, I figure we’re probably more than likely going to see Unova remasters or at least something else in late 2025. We haven’t skipped a year (counting DLC releases) since 2015 which was almost a decade ago, so it’s hard to imagine Z-A releasing any later than Q1 2024
A realistic view on the presentation can go like this. *Lego Horizons trailer *the release trailer of Sonic X Shadow Generations shown *update on Nintendo Switch Sports *mighty morphin power rangers Rita's rewind *new footage to Professor Layton & the New World of Steam *Kirby & the Rainbow Curse Deluxe *Dragon Quest *Epic Mickey Rebrushed *metal gear solid master collection vol 2 *DLC for Fire Emblem Warriors *new campaign for Metroid Dread *Rune Factory new entry *Dr Mario 99 *TMNT game on the Mutant mayhem movie *amiibo for Super Mario Bros Wonder *trailer for Pokémon Z-A in alpha footage *Arms 2 *Yoshi Island 3D (remake of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)
Your predictions are all spot on, it felt like I was listening to Kit & Krysta lol. Your predictions are all realistic and make sense, I agree with 100% of your list. I would only argue that Metroid Prime 2 would come packaged with Metroid Prime 3 but would not get the same remake treatment as MP1. This would get the Pikmin 1/2 treatment.
I really wanna see them release Pokemon versions on Game Boy online. It's insane that they haven't done it yet. We got Pokemon Trading Card Game, Pokemon Snap, Stadium 1 and 2, and Puzzle League. come on guys give us Pokemon versions on Nintendo Switch Online
My June direct predictions: - A crossover game featuring lots of original Jetix characters (probably Kingdom Hearts IV or something else) - New version of Tomodachi Life - New Mario Party with the addition of Geno, Vivian and Pauline - Duelverse, the first fighting game featuring various duelists from the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe - An enhanced port of Mario Sports Mix, now with the addition of Geno, Mallow and a few others who didn't make it in the original - An action-oriented game centered on Geno (same treatment as Snufkin, but with combat) - Mario and Sonic in Paris
Reality for the Nintendo Direct, New Mario and Luigi, Metroid Prime 4, New Mario Party, Fairy Tale, Donkey Kong Country returns remake, brand new Zelda game, and Zelda is playable. What a Direct.
Agreed if it takes a lot of kid icarus uprising and improves on it. I don’t really want a fully 2D kid icarus game. Half 2D half 3D would be fine though. Like Metroid dread meats KiU or like the flight sections from KiU.
I would prefer a remake of the first game then a sequel/another game. The reason why was because the first game didn't sell all that well which the switch would fix that. Then the sequel could be on the Switch 2 with better graphics.
@RogersBase thank you for the nod to my all time fav game DK64. That’s a great prediction. My dream game is a remake of DK64 but it coming to NSO works for me. I still have my Wii U to play this masterpiece and Windwaker from time to time
Genealogy would be amazing, though I feel like I daren't hope after Engage released so recently... It'd also be nice to see another Mii game, even a Tomodachi Life remaster, that takes advantage of the Miitopia remake's crazy-deep customization engine.
Ports of Eternal Darkness and Beyond Good and Evil please…some nice lesser known titles for the last year of Switch. I’d also like Wave Race Blue storm, F-zero GX and Viewtiful Joe ports, Pikmin 4 DLC and Diddy Kong Racing on NSO. Ta bye. Oh also I’d love a Sly Cooper collection too, I really want to own all of those games on a current system!
If you think about it, the upcoming Direct is perfect timing for Metroid Prime 4 to be revealed and given a release date for Switch. But I t won’t be at the Direct. They won’t even mention it. Now that begs the question, what next? Do we assume it’s going to be exclusive to Switch 2 or just assume it’s never going to be released? TBH, I’ve already filed it away in my mind, next to Half-Life 3 and Elder Scrolls 6.
My guess is that it will be available on switch, but either had a upgraded release for the switch 2 like BOTW or playable on the switch 2 with the backwards compatibility that has been leaked.
Talking about Genealogy of the Holy War: "Where there's smoke, there's fire" Does he know?? Idk his history with Fire Emblem, but if he doesn't know that is a coincidentally great line!
I’m so excited about the Direct, but I have so many games to play. It’s so difficult to be really excited about new announcements when I have so much more to play already, and so little time to play all of it.
A minor prediction nobody talks about... I think it's going to end up not being called Metroid Prime 4 and a whole new type of title. I also think it'll be very innovative and somewhat open world .. not quite on the level of BOTW.. but it'll be an evolved formula from the original Prime series
Oh I see, So they'll drop the "Metroid Prime" sub-name. That's neat. I was always on the impression they'd just continue the "Prime" naming but you might be onto something. Maybe the new 3D Metroid game will include "Phazon" in the title. I'm horrible with naming but that might be fun.
I really think for DK’s lineup we should get based off of the current retro services all of the games featuring him that were on those consoles. I’m talking DK64, Diddy Kong Racing, King of Swing, and with those first two being the most crucial then kos but then after that is a big gap down to the DK Land trilogy and you could even have the Japanese color version of DKLIII on there, the DKC trilogy remake for GBA, and DKC remake for Gameboy Color and I’m pretty sure that’s it for these current systems. But after they’ve released everything that they would release(like if they were to do the Japan exclusive dkl III then it would be this point or never)then I think the step is to do a 3D DK game. Perhaps just called Donkey Kong 3D Country and it would play more in line with Retrostudios than Rareware’s games but in a full 3D setting of course. Or they could do something that plays like Super Mario 3D World and I think this would be really cool but I know there would be so much bickering from the fan base from this. And then after this big 3D game with beautiful advertising we get a callback to the 2.5D era. Instead of just cutting losses and doing a new game they could do a remake of the original Donkey Kong Country. Then later giving us DKC2 but I don’t think they would do the third game. I won’t go into how they should handle this really but all I will say is it would be cool if DKC and Diddy’s Kong Quest were on the same application and shared save files as the second story is unlocked on a file after beating the first one. They would do a digital only release of the first game for $60. And then a year later a digital only release of the second game as a DLC in a way kinda for $60 too! And then like two weeks later a physical copy for $100 that has both stories included on one cartridge, they make sure to include a game manual, and then put the plastic case in a cardboard box that is the shape of the snes game box as this would be a super cool callback and make this feel like a collector’s item when really all the extra expenses is a piece of cardboard and a thin booklet and they trick you into thinking it’s a good deal to pay $100 for a $60 cartridge! Everyone wins. After this I think fans should be content with the series cooling off a little bit. With DK3DC in summer 2025, DKC Remake in late 2026, and Diddy’s Kong Quest Remake in late 2027(and yes it’s crucial to me it is just called Diddy’s Kong Quest and the first one is just called Donkey Kong Country, no DKC2 labeling anywhere)So from like 2028-2030 we get no games. 2031 they could announce of an open world Donkey Kong Country game, the Zelda treatment if you must name it. This would be in a February direct for like 30 seconds with the name flashed and that’s it. No other wording or anything. Just left open ended for the fans to be creative and try to come up with what will be in the game based on what we saw in the short snippets. I still don’t think anything else would be seen though. 2032 we would get a brand new Diddy Kong Racing. It’s not a sequel and it’s not a remake it’s just a reboot of the series and all the kongs would be playable and some other characters. It would be about DK not thinking that Diddy is worthy of anything even after saving him in DKC2 and so his own racing game would just be a ripoff of Mario kart as all Diddy will ever be is a shadow of others. So diddy races around to not only build his franchise but to also build his reputation enough to end the game on him racing DK to prove that he has his own strengths against the big kong. 2033, 2034, and 2035 it’s clear all resources are going into this huge 3D title. 2036 we get that Mario 3D land esc game as a slightly budgeted title. Still just holding on Nintendo would release one last title to tie the fans over for DK Open World. We would get a phone game in late 2038 or early 2039 called Donkey KonGO! It would be an auto runner with callbacks from the entire franchise. You would play with your device horizontal in orientation but it would get an update with king of swing levels that play vertically. Game would be free and you could purchase additional banana coins that take forever to earn with real money and unlock Funky Kong through a $4.99 paywall but aside from that everything can be earned you just buy if lazy. And for 2040, right around for Christmas, we get the most incredible DK game ever. The biggest project. This would be enough to ascend DK to the same mainstream status as Zelda games and just two years later we would finally get back to a new 2.5D game. And then we could expect even other spin offs for him such as Donkey Kong RPG and a remastered port of Diddy Kong Racing(the reboot). I’m not gonna look past 2045.
Nintendo’s not ever going to even acknowledge Conkers BFD ever. If they release diddy Kong racing he will have been removed. That’s how much they hate that game. They sold the company that made it even though it was their best studio.
My 3 realistic wishes: 1. Bravely Default 3DS ports 2. Metroid Prime 4 3. Yoshi’s Wooly World port My 3 unrealistic wishes: 1. FZero GX port 2. Ocarina of Time remake 3. A new Donkey Kong game that isn’t just a port of an older game
I believe Animal Crossing:New Leaf for Switch,Metriod Prime 2 Echos Remastered,Donkey Kong 64,Sonic Advance for GBA,Tomadachi Life,Mario Party. And I am calling it a New Switch Console not a Switch 2 they did With Game Boy Advance to DS. I think the New Console is a Switch Lite with an Oled Screen and Themes coming to Switch finally and finally a Greatest Hits collection with lower prices.
I can hardly wait. I really wish life was like this more often, reaching the days of discovering more and more excitements. I also wish the future could also include some or even many more Mario games returning Mallow and Geno who appeared in the nostalgic Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars as the original and remake. I am never ever giving up on them. One way or another, we will see very new and special surprises and stuff and I will continue to have the positive feeling for Mallow and Geno whatever happens. No offense to anything else in life, I am sure of dreams.
I want whatever the new Metroid game to have it's first trailer be released on August this year because that's when the original Metroid was released. As for the June direct, I'm dampening my expectations. Think it'll fairly tame, some ports but not much. I want to believe they're saving the more effective/talked about games for the Fall/Winter/Holiday period before closing things with the Switch system.
I mostly agree with you but I think Metroid Prime 2 Remastered will be digital-only for a little while, Metroid Prime 3 Remastered will be announced around September for a November-December release date, and there's going to be a physical bundle for MP2R+MP3R at $70 (or $40 each); similar to how Pikmin 1+2 were bundled together physically. If they're going through the trouble of remastering Prime 2, I think they wouldn't want to undersell Prime 3 so a physical bundle of the two together makes sense. Also, I don't think TWWHD and TPHD is happening; but I think GREZZO has been working on either a new 2D Zelda, a Spirit Tracks remake or A Link Between Worlds remake. Also, I think we're getting Xenoblade Warriors.
Yeah, I'd honestly be surprised if Metroid Prime 4 ISN'T a joint release on Switch and Switch 2 like Breath of the Wild was. Like BotW, it'd be the perfect segue to get people into the new console without making the stragglers feel burned since it was originally announced on the Switch. Metroid Dread also really helped Metroid's popularity, so I feel like it could actually be a decently heavy-hitter for a console release! I also wouldn't be surprised about a Kid Icarus Uprising remaster/remake coming out as a final year game for the Switch, especially with how Sakurai teased wanting to go back to it on his channel. The Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD port would make sense, capitalizing on BotW and TotK's success; we'd basically have all 3D Zeldas on one platform at that point since Skyward Sword also got remastered and the N64 ones are on Nintendo Online. I can totally see Nintendo basically having the Switch be the Zelda console to end its life on. Metroid Prime 2 Remastered is almost guaranteed, and I even think we might get a Paper Mario 64 remake with all the little easter eggs that are in the TTYD remake. Whether it'll also be a joint release, I don't know, but they're hinting at it HARD. It'd be the Mario equivalent of releasing Prime 1 + 2 Remastered!! Other than all that and Pokémon Z-A, I really can't say. Nintendo's final years are always up in the air and kinda random imo, so whatever's in the Direct, I hope it ends the era with a bang rather than whatever the hell the Wii U's was lmao
I'm hoping for official announcements of a new Mario baseball game and Mario & Sonic at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. These two titles been development since January and February last year and not talking about ever since.
Since we got Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door ported to Switch, I'm hoping for Galaxy 2 and Super Paper Mario over to Switch. Those two sold at least pretty well and they only got ported once on the Wii U's eShop. I feel like they ought to release those. Especially when distribution on Mario 3D All-Stars ended back in March 2021, I think it would be time for us to get Galaxy 2 on Switch.
On the contrary, I actaully think Monolith Soft is NOT going to have ANYTHING in this Direct and that their primary focus is on a game for the Switch 2's launch year!
I have a feeling September Direct was a primer for what the twilight years of OG Switch will look like. That Direct was 90% remasters and remakes and I feel like that coupled with certain franchises like Zelda and especially Metroid being back in the mindshare of fans means lots of emphasis on back catalog Nintendo stuff. Outside Prime 2 and 3 Remastered being inevitable I will actually say Samus Returns is super likely now that Luigi's Mansion 2 proves Nintendo is willing to go back to 3DS stuff and give that stuff the remaster treatment
Bought a switch lite for 60 bucks this is my first Nintendo console, handheld loving it a lot! I mainly play on my PlayStation or Xbox but man the switch is so much fun!
Love your video's Roger, on a side note When they did the release of Paper Mario Thousand year door I had no idea they even brought that out again until yesterday lol. I had always said man wish I could go back and beat it and now I just picked up my copy this evening can't wait to play that master piece again loved it back in the day. So happy with Nintendo and I have no doubt they won't deliver.
We probably won't see the series again given how badly the last 3 preformed critically and commercially. Though I also wouldn't be surprised if we saw it again in a couple of years to appeal to the nostalgia of 2000's kids.
What I think we’ll see in terms of new games. One Zelda game, could be TP:HD, WW:HD or a remake of LbW. FE4 Remake Something Mario, probably just one game. Could be Mario Party, Mario & Sonic or even a port/remaster of Galaxy 2 which I’ve heard discussed. This is the absolute minimum and my expectations are about this much. Additionally what also could be in the works are: One action game being developed by Bandai Namco possible candidates include remakes of Kid Icarus Uprising, Star Fox Assault and although it doesn’t quite fit the criteria I’d say F-Zero GX has a slight chance A collection of HD Ports of Prime 2 and Prime 3 like Pikmin 1 + 2 make more sense than a single remake of Prime 2. Maybe one more Zelda or Mario game (from the lists above) As for third parties, there is a very high chance that a HD-2D remake collection of the original Dragon Quest Trilogy is either revealed in this direct or in the Xbox Showcase. Also expect more information on the Monster Hunter Stories Remake and I think there is a decent chance either here or in the Xbox Showcase of a Digital Devil Saga remaster.
I think we'll be very lucky to see MP4 for the switch. If the direct only goes over stuff for this year, they will just show a few ports like MP2 Remake and 1 or two zelda HD ports. The switch is done.
We don't need Twilight Princess HD on Switch. The game deserves a better remaster because the one we got had a lot of problems they probably won't fix with a basic port. Would much prefer getting it for Switch 2 with them changing some things
The issue I have with all this stuff is like why wait till the last minute. The last two direct had like no major announcement. Like if they had Metroid prime 4 plan on announced on Nintendo switch 1 direct why not throw a teaser at the end of last direct. I genuinely feel like all our big announcements even if they are also going to be on switch 1 will be saved for Switch 2 presentation
I want Metroid Prime 4 to be at the june direct. Also, i need F-Zero GX, Kid Icarus Uprising, Fire Emblem Awakening, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, and Viewtiful Joe coming to switch
Genealogy has one of if not the best Fire Emblem stories in the franchise. If the rumor is true, I hope and pray Nintendo doesn't censor the story, because some themes from the game may not be very "NIntendo" friendly, but they absolutely sell the dark fantasy and heavy world building the game has set.
Crazy that they introduced Prime 4 seven years ago and they never got it finished lol. I know it had a very rocky dev but even 3.5 years is a long time. My expectations are low but we will see what titles they can squeeze out in time.
I would say Professor Layton and Pokemon Legends Z-A are certain to be featured, as for what I hope will be featured Mario and Sonic (more characters please!!!), Metroid, Mario tennis and golf from the GBA for NSO Pokemon for the NSO, (Emerald specifically) and something Fire Emblem
I think the idea of "i hope they dont spend a lot of time on this" doesn't matter. They can make Directs as long as they want, it's not a live event. I say this cause i always notice people getting mad they "waste minutes of the direct" on something. If the direct is 40 mins and they spend 10 on Luigi's Mansion, that was already planned into the Direct. Rather than them spending 1 minute and the direct being 31 mins instead, its the same thing
Nice predictions, I'd add a remaster of Xenoblabe chronicles X and a remaster (or rework when it comes to controls) of Star Fox Zero. Even Assault would be just fine! Add something F-Zero related to the mix and we'll have a dream direct!
My guess on new Mario Party is that it's going to meld Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars so it'll have like, four new boards then four "remixed" boards which will just be a Mario Party 1, 2, 3 plus a returning Super Mario Party board with slightly redone pathing and rules, similarly there'll probably be some 25 new mini games, 25 Super Mario Party mini games then 50 mini games from Super Stars and then the roster will be the Super Stars roster with the missing Super Mario Party characters made playable via story mode unlocks so we get that Super Mario Party story of team Mario vs team Bowser but you have to unlock all of the team bowser characters. If I had to give this theoretical Mario Party a name it'd be Super Mario Party Remix. Then at the Super Switch 2 U announcement trailer it'll be announced this game's actually getting an updated version with two more new boards, two gamecube boards, four new characters, about five returning mini games and five new ones. All of this content will bo on-cartridge on the switch 2 version of the game but if you bought the original version on base Switch you can get it all as cheap dlc, with two more dlc packs to be announced plus a season pass that gives you fire mario and fire luigi as bonus characters.
great predictions im looking forward to the june direct also also i think metroid 2 will get a shadowdrop just like the 1st one maybe an update on 4 perhaps i would love to see wind waker ported to the switch and im looking forward to the next mario and sonic olympic games since tokyo also i would love 2nd mario party superstars or more dlc wave for past boards i also hope they do layton trailer and i hope there will be a huge surprise before we go to the switch 2
Another game that bandai could bring to switch is a remake of a tales game, tales fes 2024 is this weekend and it been quite a while since the last tales game was release i wouldnt be surprise if they would remake either destiny, grace, abyss or xillia and port it to switch.
My guess is that they will bundle Metroid Prime 2 and 3 in one game for $60. If someone likes the first one, they can also buy the bundle. It would be weird to spread out the other MP games, as the next console is likely launching next year.
I really hope we see Pokemon Z-A during the Direct but it didn't seem like they had much to show in the teaser-- makes me think they're still pretty early in development with it.
I find it hard to believe they would put out an announcement for Metroid Prime 4 now; sure, a lot of Switch owners would go ahead and buy it (myself included), but why not wait for Switch 2, to make it a launch title with some major incentives for prospective buyers to pick it up alongside the new console? Diehards will buy Prime 4 no matter what, but if they want to maximize the appeal of the new console, I think they should wait to unveil Prime 4 side-by-side on both consoles, since that would provide an additional incentive to shell out for the new console, above and beyond just picking up a much-anticipated title. Budget conscious fans could still opt for the Switch version, without stealing any thunder from the Switch 2. No?
@@cjthenarhwalking1378 and unfortunately, you may be right. Paper Mario TTYD gives me hope for these remakes late in the life cycle. But I guess that is Mario.
What do YOU think we're going to see in the June Nintendo Direct?

The next Subnautica
Instead of Kid Icarus Uprising
Star Fox Assault on the Gamecube. It fits the 3D Action game category like Kid Icarus. We've seen that nintendo made a brand new StarFox trade mark. Lastly, Bandai Namco were the ones that made StarFox Assault in the first place.
Hopefully at least remaster of Twilight Princess ( left hand link). After N64 I turned to PC and Xbox, so I never played that game
Tomodachi Life From the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Land Like My Idea Is The Mii Games Collection only With The MIIS no replacements
Tomodachi Life Needs a Remake or a Sequel to Tomodachi Life and this Is The the game’s 10 year anniversary and Nintendo Doesn’t care about the Fans of MIIS like Where is The Tomodachi Life Mii News Direct

Would be pretty cool to hear more news about Metroid Prime 4 and Professor Layton!
There will always be those people 😂
I feel like the new Mertroid Prime game is gonna end up being a "Switch 2" game.
I want a new mainline ace attorney game.
ive already seen people theorizing that the new direct is gonna have switch 2 info and that nintendo is actually lying to us
Which is really dumb because the switch still needs to get finished off, and i think it’s likely we either get a switch two focused direct or it’s in February over a normal direct.
Not Roger looking like Steve Jobs 😂
Always have to break out the turtleneck for these haha
@@RogersBase I really do love it, it's very stylish on you. 😁
More like Andy Warhol
@@RogersBase Nintendo loves to throw curve balls. There are games you wont expect to be in the Direct.
He looks more like the non evil twin to Elon Musk
Never a proper E3/Direct hype season without Roger videos
Don’t forget they announced that Metroid prime 4 is still being made for the switch before showing Metroid Dread.
You already know! When the day of the Direct arrives, I’ll be there for Roger’s reaction! Well, if I don’t have to work, that is, but if I do, that reaction will be the first thing I watch when I’m done.
As someone living in Europe I expect it'll be somewhere in the middle of the night for us. I guess it'll be a short night.
I see roger Nintendo direct predictions i watch immediately its that time of the year again I can’t wait!
Good man!
I was like perfect i watch this before bed.
my hopes are still for Kid Icarus.........and tomodachi life. I WILL KEEP BEGGING IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!
Literally same!
FE4 Remake is a day one pre order for me.
It's refreshing to hear generally realistic predictions. Even if 50% of your predictions are right, that's still a decent Direct.
Kid Icarus is basically my dream hope for the Direct at this point. Anything else I also would happen to get hype for is a bonus.
I'm glad you spoke on Mario & Sonic Paris. It's something I haven't heard a lot of people talk about when it. I'm hoping they do reveal it.
Same. Mario & Sonic Paris 2024 is #1 on my prediction list.
Was waiting for a prediction video! Love them!
Yay!
*Lego Horizons trailer
*the release trailer of Sonic X Shadow Generations shown
*update on Nintendo Switch Sports
*mighty morphin power rangers Rita's rewind
*new footage to Professor Layton & the New World of Steam
*Kirby & the Rainbow Curse Deluxe
*Dragon Quest
*Epic Mickey Rebrushed
*metal gear solid master collection vol 2
*DLC for Fire Emblem Warriors
*new campaign for Metroid Dread
*Rune Factory new entry
*Dr Mario 99
*TMNT game on the Mutant mayhem movie
*amiibo for Super Mario Bros Wonder
*trailer for Pokémon Z-A in alpha footage
*Arms 2
*Yoshi Island 3D (remake of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)
ARMS 2 and a Yoshi's Island remake would BLOW MY MIND
pokemon has their own direct presentations for legends ZA, this focuses on games for 2024
Here’s to a great Nintendo Direct. Fun video, Roger!
I remember getting the switch watching Etika... how times have passed. RIP the goat #joyconboyz4life
I honestly hope that Nintendo decides to remake Earthbound and maybe translate Mother 3 for Earthbound's 30th anniversary. Btw nice predictions!
I just want Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. It’s really not a huge ask
It hurts how bad I want them. It makes my beans throb.
I think we will get them on next console
Hopefully it comes in a 3D Allstars type of package (just ya know, without the lazy porting and scummy release window)
Good luck with your predictions!
Let's see if #ProphetRoger strikes again!
I think its finally time for the big Metroid Prime 4 reveal
This really feels like a 2016 situation with the Wii U going into the switch. I think your predictions are very accurate!
I wonder if we'll hear anything more of the new Professor Layton that was revealed a while back
Cant wait to see your reaction to the direct! Like last years was fantastic I think they can do it again and hopefully make you scream again!
Letttssss goooo! Wind Waker and Twilight Princess will hopefully get ported off Wii U!
I hope you're right about Uprising. It's such a good game
My June direct predictions:
- A crossover game featuring lots of original Jetix characters (probably Kingdom Hearts IV or something else)
- New version of Tomodachi Life
- New Mario Party with the addition of Geno, Vivian and Pauline
- Duelverse, the first fighting game featuring various duelists from the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe
- An enhanced port of Mario Sports Mix, now with the addition of Geno, Mallow and a few others who didn't make it in the original
- An action-oriented game centered on Geno (same treatment as Snufkin, but with combat)
- Mario and Sonic in Paris
Like your predictions especially Mario & Sonic Paris 2024
vivian in mario party would be sick
Reality for the Nintendo Direct, New Mario and Luigi, Metroid Prime 4, New Mario Party, Fairy Tale, Donkey Kong Country returns remake, brand new Zelda game, and Zelda is playable. What a Direct.
All I want is a NEW Kid Icarus game! Not a remake/remaster like how everyone won't shut up about Zelda remakes, a NEW Kid Icarus game!
Agreed if it takes a lot of kid icarus uprising and improves on it. I don’t really want a fully 2D kid icarus game. Half 2D half 3D would be fine though. Like Metroid dread meats KiU or like the flight sections from KiU.
Uprising was bad
I would prefer a remake of the first game then a sequel/another game. The reason why was because the first game didn't sell all that well which the switch would fix that. Then the sequel could be on the Switch 2 with better graphics.
i’d be set w an uprising remake but a new game would be even better fosho
These were some really solid predictions.
I would LOOOOVE an Uprising remake. That game was a hidden gem and I would love to have a modern version of it
@RogersBase thank you for the nod to my all time fav game DK64.
Don't let Engage stay in the way of your hopes. It got USK tested 23.08.2021, so 1.5 years before its release.
Roger always on point with these
All I want is a mario super slugger sequel
I believe we'll get a classic Roger reaction
Talking about Genealogy of the Holy War: "Where there's smoke, there's fire"
Does he know??
Best Nintendo Direct Predictions everrrrrr!
I remember when Roger made predictions videos with thebitblock 🤣
Good times
My 3 realistic wishes:
1. Bravely Default 3DS ports
2. Metroid Prime 4
3. Yoshi’s Wooly World port
My 3 unrealistic wishes:
1. FZero GX port
2. Ocarina of Time remake
I'm 100% with you on a new Mario Party. SMP had some good ideas, I just wish it had more boards.
Nice predictions!
It was a pleasure meeting you at Combo Breaker! Can't wait to watch this later.
F-Zero GX Recharged, Pokemon Legends Z-A, Zelda remaster, and Metroid Prime 4. Gonna be an amazing direct!
Roger getting those predictions out before Pyoro wakes up. Smart
Precisely why I wanted to do them before June hit. I just made it! LOL
Regarding the Olympics game, IIRC, the developer said that the Tokyo Olympics is going to be the last entry of that franchise.
I just want em. I hope both at the same time with a physical release.
You forgot Monolith Soft. They're definitely going to have a presence at this Direct and have something to show.
On the contrary, I actaully think Monolith Soft is NOT going to have ANYTHING in this Direct and that their primary focus is on a game for the Switch 2's launch year!
A RogersBase video? Count me in !! Your behavior and positivity would get me excited for anything ! :)
How many times are you going to predict Wind Waker and Twilight Princess?
As many times as it takes until it gets officially announced 😂
All I want to know is what is going on with the Dragon Quest games. HD-2D and DQ12.
8:12 Killer Instinct Gold would be another really good one to add to this lineup
The Thousand Year Door remake came out last week!
I wish you were right, but if we did get a mario and sonic at the olympics game, it would allready be out by now.
FE4 Remake
Something Mario, probably just one game. Could be Mario Party, Mario & Sonic or even a port/remaster of Galaxy 2 which I’ve heard discussed.
This is the absolute minimum and my expectations are about this much. Additionally what also could be in the works are:
One action game being developed by Bandai Namco possible candidates include remakes of Kid Icarus Uprising, Star Fox Assault and although it doesn’t quite fit the criteria I’d say F-Zero GX has a slight chance
A collection of HD Ports of Prime 2 and Prime 3 like Pikmin 1 + 2 make more sense than a single remake of Prime 2.
Maybe one more Zelda or Mario game (from the lists above)
As for third parties, there is a very high chance that a HD-2D remake collection of the original Dragon Quest Trilogy is either revealed in this direct or in the Xbox Showcase.
Seen how they treated Skyward sword, a simple port would probably be what to expect
I really do wanna see the Mario & Luigi franchise again getting revived 🥲
To go one step further if we get a remake/sequel of Donkey Kong 64 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary in this direct I think I'll die on the spot 😭🤣
Gonna meditate for the FE4 remake.
I love this time of year for all the gaming news!!
Really hoping for news on the Dragon Quest 3 hd2d remake, especially with the credible rumors its gonna be the whole trilogy 👀
Massive like for wanting all the N64 Rare games to be finally available.
Crazy that they introduced Prime 4 seven years ago and they never got it finished lol. I know it had a very rocky dev but even 3.5 years is a long time. My expectations are low but we will see what titles they can squeeze out in time.
I’d be good with any of those 5 shadow drip predictions. Doubt we’ll get more than one or two shadow drops
I totally forgot the GBA Mario Sports games aren't already on there! Those two will almost definitely be added eventually!
I'd LOVE a new Tales game on Switch!
My guess is that they will bundle Metroid Prime 2 and 3 in one game for $60. If someone likes the first one, they can also buy the bundle. It would be weird to spread out the other MP games, as the next console is likely launching next year.
Metroid Prime 4 is for sure gonna be the BOTW for the Switch and Switch Successor - even down to being a launch title for the successor
Eternal Darkness would be a left feild announcement, and it be cool.
I really hope we see Pokemon Z-A during the Direct but it didn't seem like they had much to show in the teaser-- makes me think they're still pretty early in development with it.
I dont think we will see ZA. Unless they want to reveal the Performance of the switch 2
No?
I'd love a Kirby port (Air Ride or any of the 3DS ones). I wouldn't mind Xenoblade Chronicles X getting brought over.
I hope x is ported to the successor. I would hate to have x be released at the end of the switch's life.
@cjthenarhwalking1378 yeah, I get what you're saying. It would just be great for the entirety of Xenoblade Chronicles to be playable on Switch
@@dahubbzgaming I can understand, I just think if they release it know it's setting it up for failure again.
@@cjthenarhwalking1378 and unfortunately, you may be right. Paper Mario TTYD gives me hope for these remakes late in the life cycle. But I guess that is Mario.
Hi Roger! Love the predictions!
I would love for Nintendo to remaster Fire Emblem Awakening. Besides Three Houses, it’s my favorite Fire Emblem game.
NINTENDO! DROP XENOBLADE CHRONICLES X DEFINITIVE EDITION AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
