  • What causes a narcissist to be created?
Are we pulled fully formed from the spawning vat? Do we develop into narcissists over time, over what time period and why? HG Tudor provides the detail on what function narcissism serves and what makes a narcissist. You need to know this as part of building your defences.

@@Unknown90010 the way our schools teacher and what they teach , would not fit with this , just as financial literacy , is not taught , and a lot more suppressed information - the sort of stuff one has to hunt out via experience , and self teaching - being aware of one's self as early as possible in life .

My daughter and myself were nearly destroyed emotionally and spiritually by a narcissistic neighbour who made our lives a misery. At the time we didn't know what we were dealing with, but finding your channel has explained what we were dealing with. Some people may think well she was only a neighbour why didn't you just ignore her. My answer to that is living in the UK we don't have the luxury of having space between neighbours. Anyway narcissists will always find a way to torture you.

I'm the daughter of a narcissistic mother, complete with enabler father... I have been robbed of so much in life, up to the point of literally planning to escape at the age of 42. It was scary and I wasn't sure what was going to happen till I got on the plane and literally left the country.... I was 42.
Some never get away, like my dad.
I have a calm, peaceful, settled life now. I just wish I'd done it sooner but here I am, 48, and never been happier.
I have learnt so very much from you HG and am one of your biggest fans because you've showed me just how deep narcissism goes and all the tricks and entrapment that go with it. THANK YOU ❤ you are life saving

The extent of the narcissist's compartmentalization is consistently hard to fathom, from our perspective, but makes so much sense of their behaviour.

Brilliant video, a combination of HG's articles: 'To Control Is To Cope'; '5 Hatreds Of The Narcissist' and '5 Fears Of The Narcissist'. I'd recommend this video as an early stage of learning about narcissism. I like the thumbnail design as narcissism has been in existence since the start of humanity. Thank you, HG, great range of videos today💕

Amazing explanation!! My “wife” became a narcissist because she was the GOLDEN CHILD!!! never worked a day in her life, developed “manipulation” skills at a very young age and totally controls her parents to this very day. It is so clear now
Thank you for explaining how narcissism works

Thank you. This has helped me come to terms with the fact that I was not only produced by a narcissist, married into a family of them, and gave birth to a narcissist child, but that genetics would have played a huge part. It has lessened a little of the guilt that I was responsible for it. I understood this on a basic level many, many years ago, and so was able to mitigate some of the extreme behaviour of my husband and affected child when I could, but I do wish I had the depth of knowledge that you are providing. It would have saved so much grief.

And then there's self control ie, controlling the monsters within. Choice. Choosing.
Question for HG Tudor: As a self proclaimed and diagnosed aware narcissist, does it not bother you that your narcissism conrols you ? You obeye your narcissism and have no control over that? Fair question 😮

Thank you for this. I was married to a man who behaves in the way you descibe yourself. We have 2 children. My son is "normal", and my daughter has many traits, though not hard core, very much suggest narsasistic mannerisms. I couldn't understand how she developed to be the way she is. Now i do. It makes feel bad for her, and i will most likely react differently to her moments of such in the future.

      @lonerose99 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Mine too, but I was unaware my father was a narcissist. To the point of wondering, much to my detriment, how come I had 2 narcissistic abusive long-term romantic relationships! I knew that one attracts or gets involved with someone like the parent... so I could not for the life of me understand where the abuse was coming from! That is, I had absolutely no idea whatsoever that I had an abusive father! Emotionally abusive - because there was no physical abuse I didn't know I was suffering from long-term emotional abuse from him, until I was much, much older.

    • @triplejmom7826

@@lonerose99 I didn’t know I was abused either until this past year when I finally went into therapy from the insane abuse my romantic relationship put me through. I was so ashamed that I blocked it out, but the memories returned & I desperately needed therapy. Never in my life did I think I’d be someone who’d do that! I also simply thought my father was a jerk. I was also shocked that he matched upper mid ranger. I thought he was too stupid to be that high up, if you will. But dang, HG’s videos on umr nailed him to the wall. My abusive boyfriend was umr as well. I didn’t see it because my father is from the victim cadre & he was a somatic. 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

And I'm pretty sure at least 1 person I know is an ultra - my mother. The fact that she didn't abort me, when she informed of that when I was young, is her one saving grace.

I have memory blanks, Goes back to childhood. Many on my father's side are like this and are a higher amount of familial narcissist on it. I had a dream as a child playing my console with my parents' arguing in the background, by the kitchen. There are enough narcissists ony father's side where I would not be surprised. I would have felt a duty, a real or faux empathy to protect my mother. I would say around 8-12 years, I would have to intervene periodically, my father valued his fascade. Both parents wanted a fascade of perfection as a family unit. I would create worlds to be in better ones. My laugh, my favorite drink are all things that were mimicked/perfected from childhood to adulthood. My narcissist is more evolved than my father. That addiction is there. A lot of my grandfather's children ended up as narcissists on the family tree.

Where does intelligence fit into this? Or personality? Are certain IQ quotients indicative of being a narcissist? In particular the Ultra?
Is the propensity to pragmatism a narcissistic trait? When you can deliberately suspend emotional thinking when approaching another person or situation based on reason/logic and intellectual curiosity?
Can a narcissist have emotional intelligence, the ability to ‘read the room’ so to speak? Your videos on ‘Harry’s wife’ describe her as someone who cannot read the room as her mid range narcissism unconsciously seeks control to the oblivion of all else. But what of other narcissists - grandiose and ultras?
Your candid videos portray you as someone who has emotional intelligence - not in the form of empathy in any way, but in the form of intellectual emotional computation for any given interaction.
    It is all quite fascinating.
