I absolutely love the Rex and Shulk scene! Seeing these two interact at all is amazing in itself, but what I love most is that Shulk still has that calm, collected, yet playful demeanor and Rex is… well… just being the same old carefree Rex-Rex we all know and love.
I bet Rex was telling Shulk a dad joke so funny that he couldn't hold his own laughter
I adore Chad Rex and Daddy Shulk being these close and dorky best friends. Like you say, Shulk is still calm and collected, yet it's clear he let slip something funny enough to send Rex into a riot. Honestly, it's clear that since the loss of their families, they have been the main pillar of support for one another.
I don’t know if it’s my imagination but if it was intentional I have the upmost respect for having Rex’s mouth open super wide when he’s laughing just like how his model always did in Xenoblade 2

Well, for A and Shulk, Shulk pretty much had a hunch that A was indeed Alvis. They just confirmed it when they talked about it in the lake cutscene.

Still impressed how expressive they are. They really improved since xb2 significantly. Probably got the best expression range as far as anime models are concerned
even tho' they all blink every 11 seconds exactly (that's like my only gripe with the game... I'd have a dynamic range blinking, like real life people, if I was the dev, but whatever)
To be fair, Xenoblade 2 was a major step up for the series when it comes to expressive models. Everyone in the original Wii version of XC1 kinda just wore the same face, and I honestly can't really think of a time where people really changed their expressions at an in X

Even if Nikol and Glimmer don't get together in the end (being different founding houses in the city), Nikol is still Shulk's son. It would mean he is Rex's brother‐in‐law but like the game demonstrates, Rex would be an uncle figure to him.
@@arctohru I’ll try. Riku is Riki’s son. Remember when Riki kind of adopted Shulk as his littlepon, so he and Riku are brotherpons. Going by OP’s comment that would make Riku Rex’s unclepon-in-law?
@@arctohru Riku: (Riku said his dadapon travelled with Melia, making it either Riki or Kino. Riki probably adopted shulk after the game as he alluded to doing it in one of the heart-to-hearts.

It's a crime Na'el doesn't get any interactions with anyone. Her solo animations are cute and her battle quotes do reference the rest of the party but come on. Every other party member interacts with each other but Na'el can't even talk to her brother
According to me,nael isn t a good character.Despite she was alpha's receptacle during the entierly game,at the end she is really insignificant.Moreover,i think that she is a manichean character.For me,A should have the nael's place at foundaters statues.
Na’el is that one person nobody invited. All she does is ruin chain attacks. But she’s just glad to come along.

I was taught a long time ago, that sometimes the original isn't always the best, and this is no different. They may have started all this in many levels and they will forever have a place in my heart, but the real heroes, the real family, is still the main protagonists in the main story of this game. Noah and Mio and the rest, not only they surpass these guys, their bond feels the most genuine.

I loved playing the DLC, but i HATED how it only answered small, kinda unimportant questions, and only raised more agonizing ones in their place!
I could get behind the original end where they just returned to their seperate worlds, with a wish to somehow meet again, as i could at least understand that it was just the worlds of 1 and 2 reformed. But with the DLC, it now seems like those worlds got combined AGAIN, but with no explanation on what that actually means for all the characters we have grown to love during the trilogy... Did the worlds get to walk hand in hand again like the queens talked about during the ending? Is it just the original world before Klaus that got reformed?
It makes it feel like this isn't actually the final game in what was suppossed to be a trilogy, and they are actually planning a fourth game that takes place in this reformed world... I'm sorry if i sound bitter about it, but the DLC just doesn't feel like a proper good stopping point for the overall story to me...
Combined with the scene in the base game where Noah hears Mio's song, it's safe to assume the worlds merged peacefully and all of the characters met each other again.
the DLC is cool and all, but why must it always be a prequel, though?! I agree with you, it didn't answer much about anything, really... it just explained the founders... Things it didn't explain: how did Rex and Shulk even get there (are they "special", don't they play by the Aionios rules)? Who the _spark_ really is Riku? Where are the others (Pyra, Mythra - and who and where is Mythra's kid)? It doesn't really feel like the "promised" closure, huh... There will be a fourth (and then fifth and sixth and so on) game, but unrelated to this trilogy... think Final Fantasy. Though Xenoblade X2 could be a thing in the future.
@@ArinJager1 the implication thus far is that Riku really is just Riku. Like Rex, Shulk and everyone else who somehow got to Aionios without first being put into Origin, he simply does not age, reflecting the "stopped time" aspect of Aionios. As for who Riku is specifically, he's either the son of Kino, or a son Riki had later in life (as he states his father once traveled with Melia).
@@Ryodraco No the end rather suggests that Shulk and Rex received a special treatment and Origin was maintaining them alive all this time, probably thanks to people's data/soul/will stored in Origin. They were "avatars" of this world, whatever that means. That would easily explain why everyone else who comes from Xenoblade 1 and 2 is seemingly dead.
@@kyurei4478 what then of Panacea and Linka? They clearly maintain full memory of the original worlds, yet are listed as 18 and 19 years old in the game. Riku too, given he knew Melia despite her capture having happened "yonks and yonks ago."
