This is going to be a great move David, good leaders of a business know when it’s time to let go and restructure by bringing in talented individuals to take it to the next level so they can concentrate on growing the business instead of being wrapped up in everyday operations. This will allow you to expand in the marketing and management capabilities across all three business arms, increase operating efficiency, reduce risk, increase customer base through your services and products, plus R&D. Another great benefit will be for your employees, as this now gives career pathways say from working on the workshop floor to now moving in into workshop manager then into management position with training and experience gained , which helps in business retention. You have come a long way from the shipping container when I first brought my Dash off-road product to now. Cheers to the next stage..🍻🍻
with your new roles around media and products, please don't lose the transparency and authenticity. lots of us have come to listen and trust your opinions about products/vehicles/places because you usually back it up with sound reasoning and examples. don't become another soulless sell-out. not that I think you will, just reminding you there are a lot of us that have come to respect what you have to say and have been around long enough following your journey, sometimes using it as a basis for our own. too many of my favourite channels have been lost to the pursuit of a $$$... you have come a long way from a shipping container in a carpark! 😁 cant wait to see what you bring to the table next! onward and upwards 😀
Understood everything re: the restructure but can you explain exactly what 4x4DNA and Dash Offroad actually do, and how they differ? Both structures have workshop and sales and both draw on MADAST for design and development. You mentioned Dash might do something for the Tundra so is 4x4DNA exclusively Nissan Patrol and Dash for other brands? Or is one for accessories and the other engine mods? Would love to know the difference and good luck with your endeavours.
Great question. DASH is for supply only of DASH gear that is generally purchased online. 4x4DNA is for supply AND install of all 4x4 goods, not just DASH products.
Too many cooks but hopefully it works. Great if you are ARB but you’re not there yet. There is a reason you have a following and it’s because you are different to the others.
That’s the point, we can’t sustain anymore growth with the old structure. We don’t have to be like ARB, but we need to set ourselves up to be that size…. Hopefully one day
@@DASHOffRoadyou need to branch out from only doing y62 for that. Full proper all 4x4 type stuff. There’s good market for old gu/80/100 series and tuning and performance upgrades out there as most places suck in Adelaide for that ;)

Absolutely the way to go Dave, not always easy to do, but you should reap the rewards from this structure change.
Thanks Neil, it feels like the right thing to do 👊
Bloody hell!!!
If that's making it less complex, I'd hate to see what MORE complex would look like... hahaha
I wish you good luck with the change.
Congratulations on the success. You’ve come a long way from working another job and running dash from the shipping containers
Thank you. I must say, I never thought it would get to this level 🫣

Thank you so much for the comment. I think I only have one narrative, and that is to be authentic. So nothing will change there.

We have our hands full with other things just at the moment

Too many MDs, GMs, SMs. Just a guess, but you probably need only 1 manager for each $10mill to $20mill in revenue.
Your hired!
wow taken this long to c it ?
I know right 😱
