For a long time I have wondered about some way to keep bait on a hook in order to get better hook ups. I came across your you tube and ordered the system. I can't wait to get on the water and try this out.
lol..we used panty hose for years..and the cheap ones where only a buck a pair..still do on livers..and ground chickin and shrimp garlic..the only part that was hard was a dam grown man going to the store buying panty hose..
I have your starter system. I have trouble pushing the plunger so the bait comes out any suggestions? do you have any size chart for the wrap to go with any hook size. Thanks Mike
Mike: not sure what bait you are using. If oysters, cams, mussels ensure you do not get any shell fragments in with the bait or that will clog the nozzle of the injector. The texture of any bait must allow it to pass through the nozzle of the injector. Ensure you clean the injector after each use, wash in warm water with soap, rinse and store the plunger separate from tube. Lubricate inside of tube and end of plunger with light vegetable oil before each use. I recommend the octopus beak offset hook size #1 or 1/0 for Sheepshead, size up for larger fish.

With that handy jumbo-sized syringe, I can make a few sandwiches before using the mixture for wraps! Where can I get Menhaden oil? Is it possible to cut up a menhaden to use with your system? If so, which part of the fish would be best to use? Also, is there a way to minimize hooking nuisance catfish? (By the way, do have any suggestions for an effective hand cleaner?)
Pantyhose has been around a long time but because the mesh is so small it will not do the job nearly as well as the mesh in wrapfishingsystem. Actually pantyhose was the first material used (several years ago) and it restricted the bait so much which resulted very few bites that it was abandon quickly. Give us a try.

hmm. we used to use cheesecloth to make salmon egg wraps with for steelhead. it's easier to work with than nylon, and is biodegradable.
