    Taking inventory of your skills, education, and experience on a regular basis is an important habit to adopt. Not only will it allow you to showcase your skills and expertise most in need by clients and potential employers, but it will also help identify any gaps between your core competencies and industry requirements.
    Start by researching and listing both hard and soft skills important to the role and industry. Compare your skill level for each competency, noting anything from non-existent through advanced proficiency.
    Enlist an accountability partner to validate your results and gaps. If the pandemic taught us anything, it's that we must be ready to adapt at a moment's notice.
    I recommend setting an 'Investing In Me' date on your calendar quarterly to ensure this action becomes a habit.
