This is the he type of movie they should remake. Underrated, and full of action that would look great in live action. We don't need remakes of whimsical Disney classics
@@westinjohnson that is not the point, Drake is in his 30s so to accurately portray him the actor should be in his 30s as well unless you want to make the movie a sequel to the games
Honestly, yeah, Alfred Molina fits pretty well into that sort of character. I was thinking that if Bill Murray still had a gut, he could pull it off pretty well (he played that type of menacing scumbag turned hesitant (grand)parental figure in St. Vincent), but he doesn’t have that build anymore and looks much older than he did in his “fat Bill Murray” days. I could also kinda picture Brendan Frasier, if he’s be open to taking on that sort of action role again (yes, he’s a super sweet man and you might think of him as too nice to play that kind of character these days, but he is an actor, and a very good one), I think he could pull off the intimidating leader with a secret soft side. That, and I kinda just want the best roles for Brendan Frasier in his much deserved return to the spotlight.
It’s their best film in my opinion, followed by Atlantis and the Hunchback. It isn’t a cliché princess story, it isn’t a cliché “hero’s journey”, it’s a story about the importance of a father figure for young men. It takes something that was already good in Treasure Island, stages it within their most creative original universe and uses the characters to make something relatable to young boys who’s dads weren’t always there.
I think this might be your best recasting yet! If even 80 percent of the people you cast were hired on for this film I think it would be a really good movie
@@aspiringjoker2883 , many thought of Brendan Gleeson, because of Mad Eye Moody. But I personally think that won't be good to just type-cast. One alternate I thought of was Andy Serkis. I do think that one aspect of Silver that I think you might have over looked is his... jolly-ness, for want of a better term. I dunno, I just remember watching this movie as a kid, and Silver had the air of a man who was super chill and happy with his life (even though that's not actually true) - his opening scene has him cooking a meal (since he's the ship's cook after all) and he looks like he's having the time of his life
I'd like to see you attempt casting something historical one day, it could be something different and interesting. Also, a lot of people seem to be asking for Narnia, which I'd also like to see.

Casting for a 12 Angry Men remake would be really interesting. The general archetypes of the characters would be the same, but you'd have to think about how the story would be reinterpreted in a modern context and how that would affect the characterization of each character, and pick an actor who fits based on that.
You nailed it, I don’t want another highschool drama. I want this remake
Oh my god this is flawless
Your casting choices are spot on. Now, we just need to convince Disney.
I loved your Last Airbender castings, which made me revisit the series, and now I am watching Legend of Korra, so you should do that soon.
