As of now there is nothing in the Dolphin build compressed zip folder... everything for the wii version is there and it functions (As well as my Wii could handle)

As weird as it sounds, it's nice to see that "visual cohesion" is a priority for this team. It means there might at some point be a chance at facial animation on some of these newcomers.
The whole dev team rocks. Cant wait to play.
Also I’m glad you guys finally backported K rool. He was my favorite heavy to play in ultimate, now he’s here.
He was really the only major omission left imo, would be nice to get like incin and stuff but k rool really helps wrap up the ult newcomers
Now we just need to get Conker and we’d have the entire main Rareware crew!
(I know there’s also Dixie Kong, who would also be neat but come on, let’s be honest here, Conker has way more moveset potential with stuff like Context Sensitive, and he’d feel more special anyways since he’s owned by Microsoft now)

@@dylansmith5206 Joanna Dark could probably work since we have a few gun centric characters already, (She’s also a good substitute for something more outlandishly silly like James Bond which was already joked about before) and someone from Killer Instinct would be cool to represent another fighting game franchise that doesn’t have much exposure. (Although I think Morrigan/Lilith from Capcom’s Darkstalkers would be better, but hey Killer Instinct is rad too)
Not sure how I feel about the Battletoads though. On one hand sure, it should probably be simple enough since they go as far back as the SNES days, but on the other they already have a guest appearance in the 2013 Killer Instinct, so they wouldn’t feel as special here in comparison to the other characters. Not that I’m at all against them though, I just think we should wait until a Killer Instinct rep and Joanna Dark gets in before one of them, let alone Conker. If we can have all of them though, I definitely wouldn’t complain, and considering that this is a game being made by modders, as long as it’s video game characters we’re talking about I don’t see why not.
But yeah honestly I just want to see Conker. It’s been over 5 years now since Banjo’s inclusion in Ultimate and I still have yet to see him given some proper justice to complete the Rare reveal trilogy. (Outside of Smash 64 Remix, which is also good but not quite up to modern standards as you’d expect) If Conker is the only other Rareware character we’d get, (Which in of itself is doubtful because of Dixie Kong) I could finally say I’d be able to die happy, or at the very least have the satisfaction of the roster being fulfilled. I don’t know if it’s only me, but if I was forced to a gunpoint, I’d sacrifice literally everyone else (Crash, Spyro, Rayman, etc.) *just* to get Conker, that’s how badly I want him to be added. He’s the last main individual N64 character that hasn’t been represented yet after all, and for a franchise like Smash that also started in those days it *should’ve* been obvious, but leave it to Nintendo and Microsoft to screw something as simple as that up. And yeah I k ow that Steve is technically a Microsoft rep too, but they should’ve added in three two Microsoft reps for Fighters Pass 2 instead of two Nintendo ones. (Min Min and Pyra/Mythra) Stuff like this I feel is the real reason why people initially hated the latter’s inclusion.

Damn, i used to mod brawl years ago around the time smash 4 was the current smash game and it's just mind blowing to see what people are doing with it now. Insanely impressive
As somebody who has been around since the earliest days of brawl modding, it is absolutely insane to see just how far it’s come.
@@_nRool Oh wow the earliest days? As in like during the late 2000s early? That must've been an insane ride, by the time i started messing with the game they had already released the first brawlex clone engine so it must've been sometime after pm 3.0 came out.
@@ceros4726 Back in “my day” lol, we had to manually hex edit pcs files by copying data from a modified texture file inserting it into the pcs file, then the first cmd line automatic smash hacker (ash) dropped about 5-6 months down the line.
Honestly the biggest game changer was the first SD file replacement Gecko code, no longer having to burn discs with modded files just made the whole process so much better, and frankly, I have no clue how soon after that Brawlbox dropped, but that too just made life so much easier, I never made anything more than simple skins and a few stage skins, but watching the scene evolve as it has is an incredible thing.

@@ceros4726 The earliest days consisted of a lot of ugly texture mods. I mean a LOT of fucking ugly textures. A lot of music swaps too. One of the first custom characters was one called "Wisp" which used an invisible Jigglypuff as a base and had an orb made up of the different elemental particles over it. If Wisp taunted you would change the element which did mostly nothing. It's actual moveset was also pretty basic.
Another really early one was Zero from Megaman X, I think when he came out he was fairly advanced PSA wise. His model was basically red Link with a glowing sword and an invisible shield though.
And of course Shadow was one of the first too. Basically anytime there was an advancement made in modding Brawl it was either for a Shadow mod (like making custom animations and models) or a Shadow mod was one of the first to adopt it. Smash modders fucking LOVED Shadow. Probably because a lot of them (at the time) were the edgy young teen type to make a Sonic OC like "Blood Prince Killer the Vampire Bat who's also a ninja and will do anything to protect his friends". They also loved anime like Naruto and Dragonball which I get a bit more.
There was also a long period of time where getting a PSA would end up being a difficult choice to make because they would completely replace a character slot. So if you wanted Shadow then there'd be no Sonic for example, they didn't know how to add new slots. If I remember correctly they figured out how to clone existing characters fairly early on though. So if you never played Toon Link for example you could get a mod that replaces him with another Sonic, which would then get replaced by the Shadow mod. Fun times.
@@milliondollarmistake I think i remember some of the things you are talking about, especially the part about shadow. If i remember correctly it was actually a psa of Shadow that was the most downloaded psa on brawlvault for a long time. Said psa also got a ton of revamps over the years as people got better. Oh and i also know what you were talking about with the toon link example, basically people figured out how to port characters over other character slots so that they could then use the original character slot to load up whatever psa they wanted, those were the limitations in play before the brawlex clone engine dropped and duplicating characters slots became the standard moving forward. The untold history of this relatively small underground community always fascinated me when i was scrolling through mods and a came across something from the late 2000s or early 2010s. Just by going through these i could see how people advanced bit by bit. And to think that some still kept going for so long and pushing it to such a level of polish is mind blowing to me.
It would be great to see Rayman in the game. I feel like he deserves it or at least the splatoon inklins. but if they didn't add them. I'm still happy that there are people working on this great game. adding more characters and quality. this will be epic!!!
Maybe one day someone will make a proper Rayman Brawl mod with his own original moveset and not being a skin for another character.

@@dylansmith5206 Robotnik especially. He's been in the franchise before being called Eggman since Sonic 1 and there has been so many ways to have him. We need more villains, so I'd rather have him and Metal Sonic over basically any other Sonic character, even if it was just his iconic Death Egg Robot from Sonic 2 as Metal Sonic's Final Smash (Yes, I grew up with Sonic 2 and Spinball.)
@@dylansmith5206I’m not a big sonic fan-never grew up with the games-but yea, Robotnik would be another great villain fit for the roster. I’m pretty sure if or when there’s some sort of Smash Ultimate deluxe released by Nintendo for their future successor console to the original Switch, he’ll be a likely addition.

Project M will always be my favorite smash. It not only has as a a base the love of the original creators (Brawl, but also added the love of many fans to create something I wish it keeps growing forever.
That Super Shadow special/grab throw was fire with the whole teleport plus Chaos Spears looked like something out NAZO UNLEASHED.

I've really wanted to see MKHT Waluigi added for a long time. Super Shadow and the Brawlified backports are great as well.
They have removed their version with Piranha Plant. I don't understand why, there are characters with two types of moveset.

Aside from Smash 64 Remix, it’s now been over 5 years since I’ve been waiting to see Conker given some proper justice and yet he still hasn’t… *The pain is unimaginable.* Maybe in another 5 years? 10? Perhaps more? Oh God, I hope none of the above.
Joking aside though, I’m glad that there’s now finally an update of some kind after all this time, and King K. Rool is nice. I just hope that it won’t take as long anymore for the next update to come out. (Which is doubtful in my head, but hey I *want* to be optimistic) Thank you modders for all your hard work, and good luck on more future content! :)

You have a work of art in your hands, the level of detail is incredible, I really appreciate all the effort, in my family we usually have smash bros evenings at least once a week, and believe me when I say that nowadays there are few things that excite me as much as the arrival of a new update of this project, it is rare the day that I don't check the forum for any news.
Finally I will mention some things that I would really like to see in the game:
-More pokémon in the game, to make something like pokkén tournament, I think that from there you could get great things.
-Some monster hunter character, it would be great some change of weapon and elements.
-Rinoa and Tifa of Final Fantasy.
-Blue and Black Mage, Final Fantasy.
-Rosalina, and if possible at least a bowsette and boosette skin.
-Scorpion.
-White Len (Melty Blood Series).
-Arturia Pendragon, Saber, and Archer (Fate Series), here there are also quite good characters.
Shanoa, Castlevania Series.
-Dante, Vergil and Nero, and some girl if possible (DMC Series).
-Byleth, (Fire Emblem Series).
-Morrigan.
-Sengoku Basara, Sengoku Musou and Dynasty Warriors, are three franchises to take into account.
-Ninja Gaiden.
Halo.
-Marie Rose, (Dead or Alive Series).
-Cervantes, Yorha 2B, and basically any character from this franchise is good (Soul Calibur Series).
I'm aware of how impossible it is, I just let my imagination run wild.
*THAT WALUIGI FINAL SMASH IS INSANE!*

Nice, the Tatsunoko Vs Capcom super for Zero got me hyped! also, love the idea of turning more of the assist trophies into actual fighters; Alucard was a good call! (personally i hope to se Grayfox or Saki be playable someday). that ending with deathborn, though? 11/10! Eleven out of fucking ten!

@@dylansmith5206 from my understanding, it seems like they wanna backport every character; though I've heard MegaMan's making it hard for them (the same with villager and Rosalina).
It basically boils down to their projectiles being to clunky to make possible in brawl In the first place!
Either than that, Frank West, Mega Man and Protoman would still be nice to see!
You just gotta have patience...
Shit takes time, but it's all worth it!
I mean, you could be playing Smash Universe... I made that mistake, because despite of it's 200+ roster size! everything functions like hell... still interesting to see how many characters you can stick in because why not.

I just tried him. His EWGF is broken lol, and his other 2 stun attacks are nerfed (?) from the original. It's good, I just wish he had auto turning/facing.

What an incredible trailer. Maybe I'll look into this, makes me what characters will be added next time. Squall or Ultimecia from FF8 Ultima from FFT or Personas 1-2 reps. Regardless this looks amazing
I think Squall might already be included. I am not sure if Edea or Ultimecia skins for Zelda, etc exist.
