I'm glad you found my video. There isn't too many personal stories about one's TPF injury on TH-cam. I wanted to get the real experience out and to let everyone know that it will be ok.
Great video very helpfull, especially the pull the tab toward you part on the door handle, I replaced a regulator the other day and noted a few things. I removed the window and set it aside its easy to remove and reinstall, with the window out I loosened the black plastic door card popped out some harness anchors and had enough room to easily get the regulator in, I did not have to mess with that red tab connector inside the door. Thanks again.
Watched this among other videos trying to figure out how to remove that same electrical plug. Another video just skipped over that whole section with no comment on it. I figured it out after struggling with it for a while. After you remove the red safety tab you can then squeeze the bottom part of the plug and simply pull it out.
@@sargecollects You're welcome, hopefully it helps someone else out. I'm still stuck trying to remove my plastic panel. The bottom stud on my regulator some how is stripped as the nut just spins on the threads. Gonna have to go at it with a drill in hops I don't break anything else. Sadly, my regulator was fine and this whole exercise wasn't necessary but when installing a new motor I accidentally knocked my regulator through the hole and it became unwound. Easy fix becomes a nightmare lol
I wonder if using electronic contact cleaner on the switches would have made them work again. Make sure it has time to dry completely before using it again. I have a 2008 Mazda 3 S, so it should be the same window mechanism as the 2007. I have a problem with both front windows - they both work, but make some noise when they start to move down from the top, because they are loose. Once the glass is partly down, I can pull up on it and have maybe an inch of play, though it will close all right when I move it all the way up. (The two rear windows are not loose, and they move cleanly down from the top.) A mechanic said it was the regulator, and would cost a lot to fix, but I'm not sure that's the problem. I haven't looked inside the door yet.
@@sargecollects Thank you for replying, especially on a video from 2020. I want to try something simpler first. I read a discussion on a Mazda forum where someone fixed a similar problem by tightening a couple of nuts that are much easier to access than the regulator. You remove the door panel, remove two plugs near the middle of the area behind the panel, and tighten the nuts covered by the plugs. At about 14:50 into your video, the plugs are on either side of a few vertical wires wrapped together, not too far southwest of the motor.
The “white” looking gears with grooves on the regulator were worn out. This is how I knew the regulator wasn’t working because the grooves wasn’t catching on anything to roll up window.
I have the same issue with the sound on my drivers window. I am guessing it will be regulator? In some parts it doesn’t feel like it grabs the window and I have to assist it XD. Once it’s past that point the thing can go up alone.
why i watched when i was trying to replace it got dark and i was to mauled by mosquitos so I put the panel back on so i could do it tomorrow i come inside rewatch the video, the whole time i kept trying to put in on backwards. I hate myself.

Thanks for comment. Yeah, from my experience, a lot of the time it’s the regulator that’s all messed up. You should take a look at yours.

Whats that plastic part that the motor is attached to, that you pulled the speaker off of? I need to replace that before I could fix anything else.
do you have the timecode of the video? I am not sure what you are talking about.
Should the window be in the up or down position before attempting to replace window regulator???

too funny... i just changed mine as well then i see this video...good to add WD-40 silicone along the sliding edges of the window.
