I only had one broke tooth and it got jammed between the two gears. I cleaned the jam and another piece of the tooth and reassembled it. Thank you for that video! You probably saved me from $15 to $200 plus to fix.
I had a flooring project to start the next day but I wanted to secure my car with tools. Next time it stops I will probably have to get the kit and replace it all, but now I know how to do it.

When you introduce the motor with the new gears do you have to hold from the back the other gear that’s on the door? Last time I didn’t do that and it came undone and I ended up taking it to a mechanic to have it fix
well, for the first time didn't needed to hold windows gear from the back (the other part inside the door), the for the next 3 doors I hold it using the hole in the door to hold the inside windows gear in case fall off inside of the door and keep hanging.
JC vdo yeah thanks that’s exactly what I don’t want to happen luckily I just finished today replacing the driver’s side window I did it without any issues you just have to align the gears properly it only goes in one way it helps to use the alignment tab on the door where the motor is I had no issues breaking the motor free to replace the gears ⚙️ I broke one of the tabs that holds the panel to the door but no worries it doesn’t bother me is the inside of the panel tomorrow on to the rear driver’s side thank you
Hmm... looks interesting.. i'm having an issue where the whenever the window rolls up it makes a ruddering sound and the other window it rolls down but when closing i have to pull by hand along withe switch in up position..hope this solves the problem.. ordered it rhrough ebay.. will try and see. Thanks for the vid..
yes, me too, but if you open the windows full there's no way to close it again unless you can grab the crystal and pull it up and continue pulling up with your hand until close it. Ok, I hope you can fix it too.
Didn't your car window not go down and make a loud noise when you tired to press the button to lower it. Because I think I may have the same issue as you.
If you heard something like cracking noise, the gears are broken. When open the motor + gear parts, it may break the "locks" because they are very fragile. Be carefull.
hi i like your video. my mazda 3, 1999. passenger side window glass is not going up or down. whenever i press the switch it does not make any noise either. what could be the reason? also where to order the parts from? please advise. thanks.
I'm not sure if no noise, maybe is the motor fail, need a multimeter to check if it works or cable have a short o maybe the motor is ok but the button is break. In My case it make noise, when I opened the enclosure I saw the gear was broken.

I think I saw a comment where you said the small clips broke. One of mine did. Did you have trouble getting the two black cover pieces to çlamp back flat against each other? I am. Will it still function if I can't get them back together completely?
Ok, don't worry. Yes, I can fit it back each cover. Need to level in the floor or table all parts and then make some twist back and forward until the two covers close. The small clips of the cover are very fragile too.
@@jcvdo8455 I can get the gears to mesh just fine by twisting back and forth like you say. The cover comes together on one side but where the two small gears are, it won't quite close all the way.
@@jcvdo8455 Yes, the gears are all seated together and flat against the covers. I'm wondering if one cover became warped when I separated them. It was assembled very tight and I had to hit the shaft with a rubber dead blow hammer.
@@jcvdo8455 I ended up just putting it back on the car door with that cover not completely flush to the other one. I figured the bolts would help keep the covers held together. My power window on my Mazda 6 works now. Thanks so much for your help and the great video.

A white lithium grease is good for the job.

Sorry for that, the gears I found it at eBay. I didn't mentioned it because you can where ever you like, just ask.
