Continued: two of my friends and I drove to Peoria IL to visit a friend. I insisted on driving all the way back myself. A little benzidrine helped. Thankss, Mike from Connecticut.
Nice! I have a 1968 Beetle convertible now. It is my fourth bug. I had a 1957, a 1968 and a 1974 which bought new (I am 73 yrs old). Two of my friends drove my '68 to Peoria IL from CT to visit a friend
I know this is over a year old, but I hope you did not throw away that old door handle away because you can easily swap out the tumbler so you can use the same key. It is removed the screw the back of the tumbler and remove the cap with the arm (I think you need to have the key in it?) and the tumbler will come out. You then can put the old tumbler in the new door handle and use the old key. Probably a good time to clean and re-lube the tumbler too. Thanks for Sharing.
I bet your kid was just thrilled that you pulled up to her school in that old jalopy. her classmates will rib her good for it...thank goodness I don't have kids; I can be tacky without the expense of my kids in my 73 super
One thing about supers is they love to have a “shimmy” which is usually control arm bushings.if you ever decide to lower use topline suspension stuff.I’m doing adjustable struts in my 71 super.I did mk1 Audi TT seats which are really comfortable.my car is same marina blue as yours
I've never driven a beetle EVER these cars seems to drive very well. Especially for sitting for 20 plus years. But I haven't taken it on the highway yet I will keep your recommendation in mind. Thank you Walter.

Uhhhh, that Stationwagon... makes my Heart revving up...
Thank you!
You're doing wonders to that bug, what a big change.
What we did when fitting windows was rub washing up liquid inside the rubber. It made the rubber and string slide easier
I use spray silicone; it cleans up good and doesn't stain headliners
Should be a good flip. Thanks for sharing! ❤️

Holy mackerel, Thats a long drive. What year was your favorite out of the 3? This is my first beetle. 🐞
The horn honking indiscriminately is outrageously funny.
Yeah everytime I turn the wheel the horn honks
She would find the only bug in the slug bug. Love her
Success! Great video
Thank you nick

oh, that's the hippy hippy shake, that's how you know your bug is groovy. my 73 starts dancing between 35-40 mph
Hi, What about gifting it to your daughter. :)
Thats a great idea. We have about 7 years until she is driving and I have a 1971 Dart that I am planning on building for her!
