2023 KTM 690 SM: OEM Crash Bars, Secret Tail Tidy, Set Suspension, Axle Sliders, Case Protection...

Initial setup of the KTM 690 SMC R! I had price I would pay for this bike in mind. It showed up on Cycle Trader for that price. So I bought it. This video is the initial mods. The reason I chose the SM over the Enduro is that I knew I would Super Moto the Enduro. They are basically the same bike, but the SM version comes with 17 inch tubless wheels, handlebar brush guards, and better brakes standard. I will be adding some 50/50 tires after the stock tires wear out. Below are links to docs and items used in this video. I do get a commission on the Amazon and Ebay links. Thanks for the video. I need to do some of these upgrades for sure. I bought the stealth mirrors and they are pretty nice, but not as good as sport bike mirrors obviously. I’m paranoid about frame sliders/cage cuz I’ve heard of people snapping frame mounts. I need something though and yours looks sturdy

I don't really know the odds on that. I see people rolling around with stunt cages and crash bars dropping their bikes all the time. I'd rather take the small chance that the frame might crack than have to worry about a hole in my case from me falling down while goofing off. I suspect KTM made these bars with the ability to hold up under impact. I could be wrong. I'll let you know how they hold up.

The original is all stickers on orange plastic.

Its stickers laminated onto the plastics, they cant just be peeled off, if thats what you mean.
