The bassdrum steals the show. He didn't miss a single kick, and those different sounds from the bassdrums is just fantastic. Speechless!
but he miss one hit to snare (not in reproach)
They don't call him Sugarfoot for nothing. An absolute legend.
I read somewhere MJ came up with the nickname
He doing that 93 Janet Tour version baby ❤😂
that's more base drum single pedal kicks than in my whole 11 years long drumming career...
What songs do you play😂
😂
👍👌😆
And three bass drums!
Lars?? That you?? 🧐
that kick pattern is absolutely devious.
You ain’t lying Sugarfoot when you said it’s the Drummer, the drums that get the heads moving, the feet moving EVERYTIME…..cuz I jumped straight out my chair when I heard you slaying this jam and hit the “If” choreography right in the middle of living room like it was 1993!!!!! God Bless you Sir.
WYS Girl! Have you heard him play this behind Janet during the Janet tour? He was and still is a beast! Sugarfoot for sure!
There’s a leak audio rehearsal of this song
Search Janet Jackson If JWT rehearsal 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I'm pretty sure that second bass drum is just for decoration, his right foot is fast enough that it's unnecessary
The snare, light touch high hat & heavy bass drum section is just magical. Really sucks you in and lifts you up. Sort of playing very few could emulate
The amount of control and discipline this man has is just mind blowing ❤️
‘Control’ - I see what you did there.
I'm 100% convinced this man's face has never moved once in his life. Rips sick grooves and remains stoic the whole time
Dude has 4 bass pedals. 3 in the middle one next to the hihat(or that last one might be for an aux hihat somewhere in there idk). He is doing the one thing i woulda done with 4 pedals, play 2 with one foot. Dude is the holy grail of drumming.
So much control in his playing. Old school good. Love the ending and the confident look at the camera.
He ain't called sugarfoot for nothin, those bass kicks are sweet
Those cymbals sound glorious
Sugar is like a loaded gun. Keeps it simple and does just what the song needs and doesn't overplay.
But we all know he can. Also recently with Chad Smith when he said he does just what the song needs.
I tend to overplay most of times but these guys always keeps me in check. :)
Some songs need it, some songs dont. I think if you can find the best balance between 'overplaying' and just sticking to the song itself, thats where you can set yourself apart from other drummers. Not a drummer though so maybe im just speaking bollocks lol.
Jonathan moffett sugarfoot a modbook your number one I feel you when you play please keep up the good work thank you for sharing bless you
Those pedals are incredible 🤩
That snare is always killer man
Is he doing triplets on his kick drum.... That's badass
My favorite drummer doing one of my favorite songs by my favorite artist, its just a combination of good things today
Awww man. Whenever I see these Sugarfoot videos in my feed they remind me of the late great John Blackwell, Jr, who loved Sugarfoot and took a ton of inspiration from him in his years playing with Prince and Justin Timberlake. Those cymbals behind him were also something Blackwell did. RIP.
Blackwell was one of the best ever
John Blackwell is the reason I'm a drummer I learned to play open handed by watching his live performances!!!
Потрясающе!
Even if you can play the bass drum pattern, good luck playing it perfectly tight and with dynamics. Moffett has a touch like no other.
Man that right foot does some tasty things
Kick sequence is filthy. 🎉
I love this man. Sugarfoot is a legend! ❤❤❤
cool play 💖✨💯💯
😂😂😂 The irony of how tight his pedals are yet his symbols are in another atmosphere
Dope...Dope...Dope...Wow One Love Fam.
This was my JAM!!!!! 🔥 Yassssss
gyotddddammmn that's a crispy kit, amazing performance, sugarfoot is wild
WOW WOW WOW!!!!! Love this.! Wants me to hit the studio and dance it out!
Always a pleasure, Mr. Sugarfoot. 😊 Great approach and technique.
Wow and that's why he is called sugarfoot. This was amazing. He doesn't miss a beat.
👏👏👏👏
Hello Jonathan, hope you are fine. I'm your huge fan.
Lots of love from Bangladesh🇧🇩❤
O pai do Neymar toca pra caralho

The best DRUMS Jonathan Moffet
Selente _Jonathan suegra boffe_ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
2:54 Badass.
If you're not hearing this through headphones you're missing out.
Its crazy how he uses different pressure for different parts of the bass drum parts. Some are soft some are punchy.
Damn, i thought there was a snare synth track playing under his drumming. Dude is amazing with his timing. Cant stand Janet's track though.
GOAT FO' SHO!❤
Yessssssss keri doing your thang man
That kick! That's why they call him "Sugarfoot" .
Sugarfoot really showing off the sugar in that foot
What an INGENIOUS drummer! I could hear him all day! 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁❤❤❤❤❤
The bass drum is like machine gun. Bow to grandmaster sugarfoot JM
I now know why his nickname is 'sugarfoot'....
Really good
Through the Grapevine he's/was Micheal Drummer!$#@?
So sick
Nice level.
too see someone like him with no cymbals' sponsor, is something that really makes me feel really happy.
Michael Jackson’s drummer, drumming for another Jackson: Janet Jackson!
he was the drummer for the Jackson family after all so logically he also played with Janet
@@M7keSonic Oh nice!
always wondered if sugarfoot needs 2 pedals... on the radio it sounds like 2 pedals.... but the legend only uses one! awesome perfomance and total control. damn
man i love this guy 🤘🤘
impressive on the bassdum! so fast and tight
Damn! Sugarfoot has been upgraded to Cocainefoot
Always great to watch these sugar foot videos, dude is goated
Thanks 🙌🏼
this is definition of a professional
🥁♥️👏👏🎙️👑🎶🥁
I've heard of Sugarfoot through some circles in the music industry.............Fellow Musicians
I play in vans, sugars got the shined loafers.
growing up in the 80s, Sugarfoot is one of the most recognizable drummers I knew!!
Dear Jonathan
I am big admirer of your talent, and usually I dont write or get involved in private issues of other people, i,e, not a person mingle in social media, but your matter is important, because I care and I would like you to succeed.
The song 'Blood on the dance floor', is where I am hoping to improve or pass my views, and I hope you understand me.
If you look at your all videos Beat it, Smooth criminal, and Thriller all are well made, lighting, the drums, the surrounding the angle views, where the video is made, I hope, by now you realizing I am not a out of blue critic, but a professional Architect, with 28 years experience, have an eye on things, not only building designs.
So 'Blood on the dance floor' video, good but, not wow-excellent, I hope you dont take it wrong, it a badly lit scene, it is done with cheap drums, out dated set, the atmosphere is gloomy a very professional drummer but, poor setting on all aspects.
Therefore at the name of all your supporters, and me big admirer, we ask we request that you make a new video on ''Blood on the dance floor,'' using same set as Threatened or Jam, this would be much better Video and a top music from the legend,
I hope this is not a heavy request, and I hope you would find 5 minutes + black/grey waistcoat, take care and stay healthy, we need you.
Regards
The architect
Your Brother Eddie said you are good 👍.My name is Bennie I was his girlfriend and lady friend.up until. He
past. Jhe was really proud of you.and 💕 you.take Care 😘 God be with you.
The drumer off Mikael Jackson
This is one of my absolute favorite songs, damn he's good.
I like Jonathan because he shows that you don’t have to do these unnecessary fills to be a good drummer. Too many fill maniacs out there to where I can’t enjoy good drumming.
There's a reason why they call him Sugarfoot
AMAZINGGGG!!👌🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now i know why people call him the ''Sugarfoot''. These feet can play such a sweeeeeeet and badass basslines
Bravo ........👍
Freak of nature - enough said.
man I totally forgot about janet for a while. need to put her back on the playlist.
Is a half open hihat rhythm used at all during the breakdown?
he keeps the beat she dances over. My gawd, what a blessing.
Good song
¡¡¡¡Puto amo!!!!
L E G E N D
He's so boring and repetitive. Plays the same basic patterns over and over again...Very overrated drummer.
this is a comment from someone who doesn't know anything about drums or music in general
@@M7keSonic because you said so? Sugarfoot is a mediocre drummer at best, with very big ego
@@marcinathor22 because you said so? no seriosusly what makes you think that?
I would love to see if Moffett can play Toto songs.
The sweetness of the Sugarfoot...
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Were you Janet's drummer as well?
It’s time to see Sugarfoot play some Meahuggah.
😜
Imagine him playing bleed with one foot
Hasn't he toured with Janet on Rhythm Nation Tour?
@earthboysunandrain.1832 My Bro Derrick Organ Was The Drummer For The Rhythm Nation Tour...One Love Fam.
snare sounds beautiful
I swear I miss the live bands !.
Amezing amen 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
He's the best of them drums❤❤❤
Insane control and dynamics
