Classic! I was born in 1980. I heard everything she came out with as I was growing up. Love her! She dominated 80s and 90s! This was a different sound for her. I remember waiting for the video to showcase on Mtv.✌️😎❤️🔥
Yes, I remember being obsessed with this era for Janet. Would watch this video on BET, then flip over to MTV for it to play. Loved being a teen in the 90s
This has to be one of the best songs of all time. The mix of instruments, Janet's hypnotic chanting, the absolutely menacing / angry sound of it all is amazing. There's been nothing like this since!
I think Janet and her producers should be a lot more richer than they are because this video probably inspired the cellphone and other electronic market to do touch screen
I hear that concert tickets these days are insanely costly & difficult to even secure sometimes. I’m so not one for crowded places, fangirling over celebrities, or doing things like camping out in lines to get a hold of their latest record, much less dropping more money than I can afford on concerts or anything really. Janet is probably the only artist in the world that I would be willing to save money up to see live. I remember as a kid being so enthralled with this video, the song & the choreography. I mean, I mostly just knew the hook. I was much too young to be singing & loving this song as much as I did. But you gotta understand how amazed I was by this woman & the choreography. I wanted to learn & perform that choreography SO BAD! This is also the point in which is started dreaming of being one of her back up dancers someday, especially after I started dancing while in high school. I decided to go to college & become a psychologist instead but I can still dream of dancing with Janet one day 😍 💃🏽
I know that some people tend to seek Janet's influence in other popular artists (which is quite obvious) but I for one want to acknowledge her influence on me. I cannot even describe how much strength, determination and sheer power her music has given me through the years
Baby I’ll say this…if I was an musical act, I would copy Janet word for word, step for step, fashion for fashion and video for video….I cant be mad at these girls when I know I would do the same thing. Now some of these girls know exactly what they doing but they will say they biggest influence is somebody else like Tina or Madonna. Sure Jan!
As a younger man, I used to revel exclusively in the high-powered lyrics, and Janet's highly sensual vocals. As a much older guy, I have a newfound appreciation for the song as I listen to the message. All in all, she is just a super bad performer who comes close to her elder brother's greatness.

She was born in 1966, a year before my old ass self, so Gen X try Millennials or Z... Try
She walked so Beyonce could run. Never enough recognition...ever. Love Miss Janet!!!
Beyonce can't dance she can only shake. Miss this kind of videos
Who the hell can even dance the way Janet Jackson does? I mean damnit this woman is a total badass. Love Janet Jackson 💖💖
JANET'S VIDEOS ARE LONG OVERDUE FOR A REMASTER!!!! She is one of the most influential female artists of our time! Seeing the quality of this ICONIC video breaks my heart!
Over 30 years and still an iconic song
This video had me doing sit ups and crunches in my bedroom at 11 years-old. 😂 Changed my life. Hahaha.
😂😂😂😂😂
So are you 42 now?
Me too. Born in 1980
Absolutely
Yes, I remember that specific day too🙃. I was in high school at the time (77 baby) and most of us were talking about it after it had aired.
This is one of the greatest music videos ever made
We killed this at my 7th grade slumber party!!!! 😂😂 Janet is unmatched. Choreography is 🔥 . She must get her flowers.
Almost 30 years and I still get goosebumps at 3:33
I get em at 4:09 😜
4:25 what's my name😲
This has to be one of the best songs of all time. The mix of instruments, Janet's hypnotic chanting, the absolutely menacing / angry sound of it all is amazing. There's been nothing like this since!
Lol chanting
@@woke1497 she got real sexy on this one! Go down down down down!
Tina Landon killed this choreo its still so iconic today
Indeed ❤
she is the blueprint
The choreography for this song is insane.
This is one of the best dance videos, because of the Director, lighting, video shots , editing, theme . ❤
Janet is the icon…the one everyone else strives for. And that body....WOW.
The 90s are just untouchable... Miss those days so much... The music the style just everything
This entire album and it’s videos were everything to 14 year old me. Here I am watching again at 40, and still getting goosebumps 🙌🏽 😍
Yah well I'm 51 lol. I grew up with her
Haha. I'm 47 and still loving this.
Same here!
This was the first CD I bought!
I miss the innocent days...
Omg I had this at 14yr too... it was an awakening ♥️
Back to a time where Janet and Michael dominated the music charts, iconic!
Janet thought she was making a music video....She was making a Masterpiece.
I think we can all agree…
Miss Janet is BADASS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful woman 😍
This video was ahead of it's time with the touch screens.
I think Janet and her producers should be a lot more richer than they are because this video probably inspired the cellphone and other electronic market to do touch screen
@@redsox1935 she did a cellphone commercial in Tokyo after this video came out
This is like 20 years after even consumer touch screens were a thing.
Glad it's in hd
Her entrance in this video 🔥🔥🔥
I cannot even describe how much strength, determination and sheer power her music has given me through the years
Piotr from Warschau, i hope she continues to give you strength even in difficult times. Listen to the song one mo'gain. its worth it. Pa PA,
🙏🏾🙌🏾✨✨
Baby I’ll say this…if I was an musical act, I would copy Janet word for word, step for step, fashion for fashion and video for video….I cant be mad at these girls when I know I would do the same thing. Now some of these girls know exactly what they doing but they will say they biggest influence is somebody else like Tina or Madonna. Sure Jan!
Janet is an ICON !!! Her video is always over the top and perfect,
This is one of my favorite videos by her. The choreography was on point. Love me some Janet Jackson! 🥰
I just want y'all to appreciate the fact that she is still performing for us! A true Legend! Get it Hot Mama! 😻
As a younger man, I used to revel exclusively in the high-powered lyrics, and Janet's highly sensual vocals. As a much older guy, I have a newfound appreciation for the song as I listen to the message. All in all, she is just a super bad performer who comes close to her elder brother's greatness.
janets walk is never to be played with! She was definitely in her prime here
She went from Queen in the 80's to Goddess in the 90's. My lord.
@ashley1994 Ashley, not ashley.
@ashley1994 queen was taken so
Janet took Queen. 🖕
@ashley1994 Trying to keep it at your intellectually level. Guess I’ll have to go below that.
@ashley1994 Shame your EQ is in the toilet.
The dance 3.34 OMG still gives me ghooose bumpsssss sooo much!!!! ONE OF THE BEST VIDEEEOOOSSSS!!!
Only 2 Million views? Lord we needs to teach these young folks Janet Jackson!
This video is timeless!!! Still holds up today & one of my favorite videos of hers!!!
This song, vocals and concept and choreography are UNMATCHED!! Not to mention that outfit. Simple but iconic and brilliant.
Her voice, dance, delivery, lyrics, songs, video, etc. etc. etc. is one in a freaking million
Janet baby? These new babies could NEVER ! Whew timeless classic
