This video is gold. Could I read the manual? Yes I could. Do I like to read? Yes I do? Am I tired from work and just want to quickly know how to play with my new toy? Yes I am. So from all the tired working class people we thank you. Saved us thirty dull minutes of our lives. When we might only have an hour to spare a night. That’s gold!
One More Tip, if cannot connect in Transfer .. and you only see "IAC Driver (Bus 1)" or similar .. then go to the Digitakt SETTINGS (gear icon) and scroll down to USB CFG. Then go in there and choose USB MIDI. Boom! You should now see Elektron Digitakt as a device to connect.
@@regular3dguy830 Hey there. This video was shot in real time - the samples do just appear as they do in the video. In the video, I show the folder where all the samples are available on the drive - they haven't been loaded into the pool yet. (That's in another video) Does that make sense? This video was just about loading them up and using the Transfer software.
@@braintree56 Your videos are awesome and saving me a lot of time but I have to agree with regular3guy830. I drove myself mad for ages watching this vid and not knowing why my samples were in the project. It would make sense for the load to project part to be in this video right after the transfer to incoming part.

amen to that brother. Truly grateful to all the people who take the time to share stuff like this!
I just purchased a used version 1 and this is one of the most helpful and informative resources I have seen on this amazing machine - thank you.

What's the difference between Sounds and Samples?

Is Elektron's Transfer software the only way to move samples from a computer to Digitakt? How does Digitakt become an "Available Device" in Transfer?
Man you forgot the link to the software
Thanks for the head's up! Fixed it.
And you skipped the part where you load the samples into the sample pool. Samples don't just magically appear there like in your video
