We should go on a creek fishin mission 💪🏼😁
im for it
You guys needed him in your last creek fishing video. Ahaha
I was the same way about Googan until about a year ago when I tried the Bandito bug and had success in a pond that I had never had much luck in. Since then they’ve become one of my go-to’s. From the saucy Swimmer 3.3, the Blazin Worm, Mondo Worm, Trench Hawg and now their crappie/creek lures and jigs. The snackie swimmer and Chubbie Grubbie in natural and monkey milk have been unstoppable this late spring early summer.
You demonstrated that presentation is more important than brand or style of those smaller plastics. Your Bobby Garland baits catch every one of those fish you caught on the Googans
yep thats why i like reviewing other baits, there is probably 15 brands that have a lure that catch the same fish
Dude I love ur videos. That's the fishing I grew up doing. I'm diabetic and had some amputations on my foot so getting down in or to the creek is impossible for me right now but I enjoy living through u doing what I love. Thanks and keep it up.
I don't wanna hear that B.S.!! Crawl to the creek and get in a tube!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
@mattmurphy4635 When you have ulcers on your feet you can't crawl but they will heal
@frankandmacie5200 You will never fish the creeks again with that attitude. Dont let your pain stop you from fishing bro, you just gotta take baby steps and maybe bring a friend to help you.
@@mattmurphy4635 just be quiet bruh
keep trying, you who will be able to fish again
And another great video buddy! Thanks for another great adventure! You caught some nice ones. I enjoyed watching the MASTER at work! #CreekFishingAdventures rocks!
Awesome video. Glad to see you staying to the creek fishing lures
Love the content, multi-species fishing. Never know what you'll get!
One creek guy to another, keep doing what you're doing.
Panther Martin spinners rock.
Love you're videos.
Love how secluded that creek is. Awesome stuff buddy!
it feels like its in the middle of nowhere but right by the interstate and business all around
Rock bass are indeed members of the sunfish family, of genus Ambloplites; there's another member of this genus around here, and that's the shadow bass - a really cool looking fish. I've only caught three, and each one of them came from the same pool, in the same river.
Always called them goggle eyes.
Rock Bass are a fun species!
I’ve never caught a shadow bass.
I have a few of their baits and was waiting for them to develop something for creeks and small ponds. I’m going to try those soon.
Googan Baits work very well, But don't hold up very long! I'm talking soft plastics, the hard baits are very well made and the hooks are extremely sharp!
Only googan hard bait I had, the lip broke off on the second cast. I do not like any of their products. Everything they make has already been done by other companies for better prices and with better quality.
I got a pack of slizzards for south Florida and the first one ripped as I was trying to get it on the hook. Never touched googan baits again
I honestly don't have a huge issue with googan baits. I find them to be adequately durable and they usually have good action and I definitely catch a lot of fish with them. If I've got a stubborn Smallie on a bed they will always succumb to a junior size bandido bug.
You are funny. Hiding those lures!!!!😂😂
I challenge you sir.
Do a lure comparison by using the good ol' hellgrammite vs the highlighted lure of the day, by making every other cast with the hellgrammite and challenger.
You'll need two rods set up, nothing you can't handle.
You'll find it challenging, but you can handle it.
P.s. love your channel
I like this idea
i like this also, i need to do that
I love lure challenges.
It would be great to see you hit those rivers again where you waded and nailed some big spotted bass.
Nice work.. ty for trying the bumping bug and show me it works
Great video Creek fishing adventures I've seen some of these googan baits at other stores like Walmart and stuff I'm thinking about getting me some
Rock Bass seem to have varying shades of color, from dark to light. The Eno river in Durham County in Notth Carolina has a good population of Rock Bass.
I just went by the Eno river the other day. Never fished it though, I’m near Winston-Salem.
This looks similar to the places I fish most often. The big difference is I snag my lure every fifth cast or so. His control is very impressive.
The creek I fish in is Snag City as well. Felt that comment all the way up to Red Bay, AL...
@@dennistidwell7188 same dude
I always feel like googan baits are a treat lol I don’t get them all the time but when I do I can’t wait to fish em
“Another one of those whatever I’m catching.” Spoken by a man catching fish.😊
I can guarantee that John B was behind the development of these creak lurers. He is all about creek fishing!
I bet it was LFG the crappie king
@@CountryKirby. yeah, he was probably involved as well.
yes he is one of them that does creek fishing stuff
My first thought was Mike (1 Rod)
LFG 4 sure
Pretty cool area to fish for sure. I will take a day catching a lot of fish on light tackle all day long. If any of the fishing places get some of these new smaller baits I will surely give them a try.
I thought I was wrong one time, but I was mistaken. Great video John. No comment here about what to use bait wise. Use what you feel comfortable with and feel it’s worth the price you pay. Everybody has an opinion or two. Kinda like elbows we all mostly have two.
Yeah them seem to be GreenGil hybrids (green sun fish x bluegil) pumpkinseeds always have a orange spot on the black spot of the gil plate. Awesome video I think I’ll try this style of fishing after watching this! Thanks!
Nothing wrong with a test run of baits on a nice creek like that. I call those scouting missions. Even if I'm catching fish I'll call an audible and switch plastics or baits. Like the sampling. Blessings brother
Yeah I do the same.
I’m in love with the new googan crappie baits. Sure they are kinda soft and tear easy but you can’t deny they catch fish. I feel like the crappie baits don’t get torn as bad because smaller fish don’t quite tear them as bad. It’s no different durability than the 2 inch keitech swimbaits. I use those as with good effect as well
They catch no more fish than any other soft baits lol
@@DefinitelyNotSpam maybe. But I do like them still. I still use plenty of other baits
John please do the ZMan micro lures please 💯❤️
I think he already has not all the micro zman stuff but 2 of them i think
Googan soft plastics just dont last, fish tear them to pieces.
Zman and nikko are the most durable plastics I've ever used. Specially nikko. Pricey but the last forever!
I noticed how fragile they are the first time I rigged one up.
I'm hoping their micro stuff is more durable, I have some on order 🤞🏽
It’s because they put so much salt. The only ones that really need salt are stick baits so they get that shimmy on the fall. But other than that salt is useless.
Well its either u have great durabilty and not the best action or really good action and not good durability its kinda hard to have both
@@rayhill4625 I had this guy make me some craws with zero salt, they have plenty of action and way more durability. A lot of lures have tons of so so that they aren’t durable and you have to go buy more.
Also going to lakes and catching fishing on the light pole has been fun and challenging
Great vid man. Trying to convince myself to try ultra light. We do fish alot of creeks but always just looking for bass. Tight lines 🎣
Yo same
I caught a ton of crappie and bass on the dangle dart last month. Right now the bandito bug and slim shake are tearing them up. Even on the worst of fishing days i can usually catch something on a Googan lure.
That can be said for any finesse baits
@@jimlahey3919 probably. Those just happen to be the ones I've been using lately.
Should I use more Googan Baits?
YES
If you think they’re worth the money then sure
No, not a fan of the group. Not a fan of their overpriced products with no originality. I think you can do better to find sponsors who fit your tone of videos and your personal beliefs. Not saying their products don't work but they charge a premium and I don't think that fits your average viewer's budget.
They catch fish, but are by far the most fragile soft plastics on the market..2 fish max/bait. Don't embrace the dark side..Nikko and Zman offer as good or superior results with far more bang for your buck.
No
Great content as usual brother! I feel like I always learn something watching your videos.
I have a backpack just like that for Creek fishing it’s awesome! I really like googan soft plastics they work great!
Love your stuff. Need to do one on the new mule burrow bug God bless
Being from Northern Wisconsin we don't have very many small fish to play with. No way could I be happy catching so many tiny fish.
too bad, it is a lot of fun to me
@@CreekFishingAdventures fun is what it's all about. No bad comments intended.
Nice, something finally geared twords us creek walkers.
Awesome video brother! I’ve been doing a lot of creek fishing the Red breast have been on fire for me! And I’m jealous of the WarMouth I wanna catch one of them so bad!
Googans cost a bit more, they do have a certain social media presence.
Not really
I've had good luck on em. The worms I like they don't make anymore sadly.
What worms???@@GenesisSnipingClan
@@benjihilliard1755 Responding from my other account, they look very similar to the Drag N Drop, but they were about 9-10 inches long they were huge worms but they caught even bigger bass. Almost looked like a little water snake
@@ImJykai slim shake is the only one I can think of???
Tooo funny intro. I actually had a feeling that those were the lures you had! You should have used their jigs too! I'm glad you did this video. I knew that they would catch fish. Great design! I was more curious as to how well the lures would hold up. Not really impressed with that aspect. The 2" Saucy Swimmer was the "not surprising" winner for sure. Probably stick with the Mule line, Trout/Panfish Magnet, Z-Man and Bobby Garland stuff for panfish (Lakes and Ponds mostly). I like my Euro Tackle jigs and Strike King Rage Ned bugs (for bass) as well. Tried and True! Thanks for sharing. Looked like relaxing and fun day!
Awesome video and fishing 🎣 I really enjoy your channel. I like fishing like those ponds and creeks and lakes, of course .... I main fishing is salt water because I live by the cost, but I do love creeks and ponds. Thanks for sharing, bsafe buddy 👍
I never used their stuff either until about a week ago, I used the snacky swimmer fishing for Crappie and tore them up and I also caught white bass and a 20 inch Largemouth so they do work pretty good but don't last long.
The Googans should sign you up. They could use an adult presence.😊
Just like me john always Cautious of raccoon in the daytime Ran into a rabbid one When I was a kid .
Still enjoy fishing for sunfish those rockbass especially. Great video
nice little wading crick I think I could do that one.
yeah i have seen a few that had to have something wrong with them
@@CreekFishingAdventures I got an idea. From one of your other subscribers. Have you ever thought about or maybe you have and I missed? To put together a compilation of fish jumping And strange things that happen or things you've seen while fishing. Just a suggestion if you've already done it let me know I could have missed it.
U might want to try this when u are wading. I use a carpenter hammer holder. It is made of leather and has a metal d ring fastened to it.. u fastened on your belt.
When u catch a fish , u slide the but of the rod in the holder. Makes it easy to control the rod and handle the fish
Man I found the little Rattlin Neds and they work amazing and you can squeeze out the little rattle for your Topwater Frogs when the Ned wears out.
I like Googan baits. They catch fish but only seem to last 1 fish before tearing.
I usually use the bandito bug or the krackin craw and they work really well.
Watching your content is making me realize I need to get me an ultra light set up. Just looks like so much fun! Nice knife btw! Looks like a kershaw blur!
The bandito bug is the best soft plastic from Googan imo
What length and action on a rod do you think best for wading, creek fishing like this? I'm new to ultralight fishing
@@jonnygranville281 I’d agree with you. I usually catch fish on them for sure
@@jonnygranville281 I would think maybe a 6.6 fast action is usually what I think John uses
@@orendz7740 thank you
I’m going give these a try! I’m a east TN fisher myself.
Bout time...googan pan fish section was for u brudda
Those baits would work well for spotted bass at Sulfur Fork Creek near me i bet!!! We need to test them out here whenever you are in town!!! I feel another 16 pound carp coming on!!!!
I like Googan baits! They don't last long but they definitely catch! Too bad they're really hard to find here in the UK so end up being quite expensive if I don't find them on sale 😔 amazing video as usual 😁
True you get like 2-4 solid fish is each one but they work great
Also there's a Googan aop
Yeah googan baits work but so do the ozarktrails baits and zoom baits and yum baits and you can catch more fish on a single date from anyone of those brands and you can from a googan brand soft plastic bait. People can keep buying the name in The hype all they want I'm going to buy quality.
@Bobby Hempel never said the opposite! I use other brands waaaaay more than I use googan baits.
You should be able to order them online somewhere I would think.
😂 that's funny. I'm telling everybody that you are using Googan baits !! Their baits are pretty decent. I've caught a bunch on them. I'm trying to find some of the Zman micro finesse. Didn't you do a video on them last year ?
yes i did and its about time to use them again
Hahaha!!! I love the Bible reference at the end. That was the best. Nice creek fishing too!
I've caught the biggest fish on googans krackin craw at the lake. Idk why the big ones like it, but if I catch a big one it's usually on one of those
I too am a creek fishing fanatic but my game is to catch the smallest fish I can on hook and line. To give you some idea, my smallest current hook size is 32 . Try tying one of those on with 58 year old eyes ! 2 lb test line is difficult to get through the eye .
I'm new to fishing, but I get it in all industries, There are brands with questionable reputation. But I haven't had a bad experience yet with them. I manly use googan, zman and northland. Crushes smallmouth in Canada.
What is your go to Googan soft plastic in Canada? Just curious
@@jonnygranville281 saucy swimmer, bandito bug, lunker log.
Sho me baits and brushpile jigs are two awesome bait companies from the Midwest. Love your vids
Beautiful looking water
I tried these this weekend… they definitely catch fish!!
I am glad that he brought out those soft, coogan baits I have seen them and wondered if they were worth it! Or just keep on buying my black,w/ gold glitter shiner from BITTERS, lures, anyway I love the fact that this guys goes anywhere,,to find some good fish'"in,,😊that's awesome! I wish I could still do that, but he brings me back to how I used to go bass fishing in some pretty wild places off the beaten path,,thanks for bringing back those mem .moments,,,
I have definitely been upset with the quality of several googan products, but am glad to see them focus on variety for us folk who don't need massive lures for where we fish
It's always fun when you're reeling it in while saying "What do we got?"
Nice video John. Keep them coming.
Man , me my buddy's cut up like this , great video , love me some fishing brother
There is a whole video on zman micro finesse lures. It may be on his second channel but it's out there
The Googan bandito bug has caught me the most fish. They dont last long tho. I support Googan bc i like the people involved as im sure alot of ppl do. Also im not a very experienced fisherman. Only seriously fishing for 3 years now so i dont have long term experience
I started using Googan recently I like em. Also that was a green sunfish pumpkin hydroid you were catching on the swim bait
Nice little creek great video
Try mister twister if u haven't. Creme brand makes a cheaper one with jigs.
Yep Wally World sells em and they’re good stuff
Dang! That looked like a bunch of poison ivy you walked through!
Now to watch the rest of this!
I have 1 of those translucent ultralight Googan minnows. The color is ace. It really looks good in the water. It’s a little to heavy for creek fishing though. Makes to big a splash when it hits the water.
Then learn how to cast. Finesse.
@@mattmurphy4635 yeah good casters can outdo gravity and velocity 🙄🙄🙄
@@60BloodyChamp60 no. But if you grab your line before it hits the water it won't make a big splash. Like I said...learn how to cast
@@mattmurphy4635 Yeah. And it’ll outdo gravity and velocity 🙄🙄🙄
@@60BloodyChamp60 well seeing as how I can cast a 4oz. Weight and have zero splash guess you better get watching some Bill Dance videos son. Gotta learn sometime.
Perfect creek! Nice video
Seems like a clean creek
I gor a few packs of these for Father's day. I've liked them so far. Snacky swimer in electric chicken and bumpin bug in monkey milk have been good to me.
I will be back to Creek Fishing in a few weeks. I have a favorite little river. Catch some nice smallmouth
I have never used Googan stuff before. most of the time there is other baits that will do what I want to do for less money and I go for the best price always.
"Building back better" ...
John for your 150k subscribers do a giveaway on a tackle box with some on your “good” baits hook’s sinkers maybe a nice rod and reel that you have laying around. I’m not going to say one of your kayaks that would be to much. Just give it some thought, but be sure to have some hellgramits in there just in case. I love your content and occasionally will photograph your scripture at the end to send to my mother. (She is 87 and going through what no one should have to.) thanks John
i like that idea, thanks
Those look good, I’ve only used googan craws and the Bandito bug but for me the Bug was not the drug… the craws were fine though. May have to check these out
Great stuff John.
I feel the same way about Googan as well. However, I will say, I have been doing amazing for smallmouth this year using their rattlin neds with a weedless ned rig jig head. Definitely try it when you can!
I always use googan baits because I fish at the Lakes on Staten Island New York Rye live I picked up a 7.8 Oz largemouth bass on a googins bandito bug those are very good
Great video I love the googan baits!!!
Thanks for another great video!
The mour you laren about the nather of the fish the bigger ones you get to bite a good reword comes your way 😊
The ear mouth used to pile up in the rocks at Possum Creek boat ramp on Chickamauga
Googans are despised for no good reason.those guys test them, run them through the ringer.they make good stuff.plastics are soft yet tough.i have wwaaayyy to many lures googans are in the mix.ned rigs are nice.
I don't like their behavior of trespassing and fishing on private property. Also, one of those jokers throws his fish over the shoulder on the release; no respect for animals.
They act like morons. That is a good enough reason.
I remembered the last time I was walking in the creek like that and a water moccasin swim right up to me and later on that day, I found a copperhead in the water 🤬 rubber boots or not I haven’t walked back in 😂
I don’t know why so many people hate Googan Bates because they work just like any other date. They literally do they’re just trying to come out with their own brand and make money just like everybody else. I love Googan Bates. It’s not my go to, but I use them.🤘🏻
This is the most TH-cam thing Johns ever done!! 🎉 Lol. Good video though!
i feel like i have officially become a youtuber now
They only knock on googan is the longevity, on average a soft plastic usually lasts for one catch. They do smell really really good though.
I think they put jagermeister in it😂

i dont think so, i usually only see snakes for just a second as they try to hide

Awesome video. What brand is that bag you're using? It looks well used, but in good shape.
I've tried to avoid Googan in the past but credit where credits due, the Googan baits work. I love to use a Yum Dinger but I seem to have slightly more success with Googan Lunker Log. I think it might be the salt content in the bait.
i should try the lunker
@@CreekFishingAdventures the 4” is awesome for creeks and rivers

Z-man has also come out with some micro plastics. Like other Z-man/Elaztec products, they last forever.
