Sorry. Still Volvo for me. Nothing can beat Volvo at comfort, which is most important for the *driver*. This test is more for companies, proving that their best preference would be the scania.
I work 15 years with European truck as a diesel mechanic working 7 years in usa , truck diesel mechanic don't compare us truck with European us truck is lazy ,slow , doesn't like hill European keep up on high speed 10+ more powerful and faster European take off way faster then any us truck USA truck love mechanic shop also emissions system kill us truck power

European trucks have beds that are too small (narrow). Look at the Kenworth K200. So much better and more comfortable for the driver to sleep without having the two seats right up against the bed. Time for European truck manufacturers to make their sleeping cabins bigger for drivers.

The bagage net in the Mercedes though?! WTF?! How cheap is that? Try to find anything in there and it looks awful. Two cheap 90 degrees plastic shelves and three doors and you will have 3 extra closets. And why does Volvo take the second bed out and won't enlarge the upper closets? So many missed opportunities still. Scania still have that Lego jigsaw bed? I've driven them all (except the new Scania) but Daf is still the best spacious cab to live in (not because i'm Dutch) but the (small) mirrors, auto gearbox and the seats (old ones were way better) are still shit though. To drive: I'll always pick Volvo. Seats, seating position, steering wheel, compact mirrors: All great.
