I've watched a few similar videos on this subject, but yours is the most detailed by far! 'twas great to see a more professional approach to how to get the dry wall to bend to form the arch underneath! thanks to your dad for sharing all the great techniques! I'll prob try this one day myself. haha
Thank you Tara for all the love. This means a lot, since the purpose of this channel is not only to share our renovation process but also to help others learn one thing or another that they are totally capable of doing themselves if explained properly such as a beautiful arched doorway.
Hi Ibz. Not sure how we missed your comment, but just wanted to say congrats on completing your arch! I hope the arch is holding up and has made your space even more of a vibe.
Hi Yvonne! Thank you so much for your kind words. The company is called Anewall! They have some pretty amazing ones. We made a tutorial about it and you can find the link to the exact wallpaper in the description. You can find the link to the video here - th-cam.com/video/Y3xAtPvWzaU/w-d-xo.html. I hope you are having an amazing weekend.
Hello! Love the style and the technique. (And congrats on starting a new channel!) I was wondering what you did for papering and mudding the dry wall after the arch? It looks like in your wallpaper video that you have a beautiful level 5 plaster on the walls? Did you finish the walls? Hire a team? What materials did you use? Thanks!!!
Hi Kristen. Thanks for the kind words! We are so excited to be sharing all of our renovations. I know I mentioned the process in our video and we actually filmed everything to make a tutorial for it, but our hard drive with all of the footage (along with all of our camera gear) was stolen in Mexico recently. So unfortunately we aren’t able to share how we did it. With that said it is called skim coating and it is pretty easy if you are somewhat familiar with mudding. I wish we had our video to share cause it was going to be awesome, with that said I did a little research and here is a video that kind of describes what we did: th-cam.com/video/jeGWbgAUvCM/w-d-xo.html. I hope this helps.
@@williammcneil389 aww I am so glad this was helpful! Thank you for stopping by and dropping a comment. And yes I am currently sitting on our bed in the room and I am still obsessed with the wallpaper.
Isn't it a vibe! We are going to be putting a few more arches in our, a really big one and will be documenting the process to share. So excited for this one.

@@brianhankerson9169 Haha go for it. I would definitely recommend 2-3 coats depending on the finish you are looking for and wait for at least 24 hours before sanding and starting the next round. We only did 2 coats when we did the wallpaper since the wallpaper will cover up a lot of imperfects. Hope that helps!
