@@d.altounian244 omg I get you haha, i lost most of my units on maddening when i came to the 2nd half where veyle and the dragon comes for you. Somehow i managed to cheese through the enemies with anna(sage)&tiki and dancing them three times in a turn for 4 dragonbreaths per turn to even the battlefield.
I tend to watch videos of the chapters after I completed them, and this one was scary as hell in Maddening at first, I had to place my 3 energy drop fed Yunaka engaged with Corrin at the upper left side, she single handedly soloed that side of the map, (with a Silver dagger +3 she managed to oneshot everyone LOL)
I found that when Lyn starts moving, she only stayed on the outskirts of the map. She literally chased me around the entire outskirts of the map as I killed everyone in the tents. By the time she ran a full lap around the map all the tent leaders were dead, as well as her fake soldiers, and I killed her where she started her journey. It took 25 turns... but it was hilarious.
I managed to get lucky and pinned Lyn at the bridge to the southwest. With all of her reinforcements trapped behind her. And then a small red head with an axe brutally beat her to a pulp.
I needed something like 60 turns to win the Tiki paralogue because I did nothing but camp until those reinforcements stopped for good. Good thing this game doesn't rank you for speed, I'd get a big fat F.
The easy maddening strat after ch13 is soloing the map with high defense units + Ike. Lyn does 0 to a 20 defense unit in resolve range so she never attacks them and summon reinforcements. Bow knights have low attack as well and poses minimal threat to your defensive units. Timerra is an early candidate as she is very bulky and not weak to mani katti. Armors like Louis can be used to choke point as he also takes 0 from Astra Storm. Fliers can be used to manipulate Lyn's range so that she never reach your other units.
I've also found a nice alternative strat, which is kill the two furthest right tent guards asap, then huddle all of your tropps north east and wait until Lyn is one turn away from sniping you, when you know she's gonna attack the next turn, dive in on her with everybody, you should be able to kill her that way before the reinforcements reach any of your units. It's a faster kill but unfortunately no tent rewards
Lyn is my favourite FE7 female main character, Because She is very difficult and not normally Eastern Swordmaster girl, And that her outfit(Sky blue mid-thick short sleeve long Cheongsam(Inside is dark green mid-thick short sleeve light armoured ninja suit, dark green mid-thick tight shorts), mid-thick fingerless gloves, Brown flat riding boots(dark green mid-thick tight ninja socks)) and equipment weapons(Mani Katti(Later Athos made Sol Katti to give her strike final boss), All Bow) can make her Strength is mid-high, Skill and Speed is highly, But her Physical defense is medium and Magic defense is mid-low, She good to use range weapon to attack Flying units(Pegasus Knight, Falcon Knight, Wyvern Rider, Wyvern Lord,Wyvern knight) and self-defense and support battle friends. So when I play the FE 7 games, Every remember FE 7 female main character and her outfit. Lyn wearing battle outfit is cool, She didn't like wearing leggings and heavily armour, Because she like comfortable and to easy move around, And that she can handing Mani Katti or Sol Katti or All Bow, So many player who think she is not only Lord, When she assault to Enemy leader and strike units or destroy enemy supplies, She will change to Ninja outfit and equipment(Take off Cheongsam and riding boot, Only wearing ninja suit and shorts and ninja socks and ninja straw sandals, equipped Mani Katti or Sol Katti and All Bow and Shuriken) going to Mission Impossible, But She really is Myrmidon, Swordmaster, Ninja, Master Ninja, That is awesome and nice pretty Sacaen Eastern shadow samurai-kunoichi princess.
On maddening I just warped merrin (edelgard) and the dancer with ivy (byleth) and hortensia down in the bottom right across the river to kill her quickly.
I found that if you kill the guards on enemy phase on the same turn as Lyn attacking, the reinforcements don't spawn. The same concept works in the final chapter as well.
While I didn't play this on Maddening but Hard/Classic, I did play it at Advanced Class Level 1. It was a bit long, but still do able. I mainly relied on Jade to tank all the archers to lure them over. And thankfully I got to kill all the tent holders except the two right next to Lyn. While I tried to bait Lyn to use Astra on Jade, she never did. But would attack someone else. I think the point I beat it I only had Emblems up to Byleth. So for anyone curious, it at least seems possible at the point I was.
Bruh I hate to say it but some of the big differences between hard and maddening in the chapter is 1. There are like double the number of enemies no lie no exaggeration 2. While the bow knights in hard might do 32-33 total (minus whoever they are attacking defense) with 19 or so speed on maddening they do 41-42 damage with 23-24 speed huge difference, 3. I have no idea why they chose do do 1-2 when the recommended lv is 19 but they did and holy hell it's really unfair if you don't have at least 2 really tanky units that aren't weak to bows
i thought it was pretty easy, having a good staff user is key for this one for me. I used rescue staff strats, basically send out my furthest travelling bruiser to 1rko the inner tent "commanders" and then rescue staff them out to prevent her from triggering. because there's so many bow knights they're really easy to lure out too, cause they have massive range you can safely pull them to you, especially if you have a general or great knight, they do next to no damage to them.
Same here. The only way I could save Chloe from dying, even with rewind, was to have her Rewarp herself out of Lyn's Astra range. Otherwise, she would always be targeted and killed, short of just restarting the map over (or rewinding a lot of turns).
I never knew what those tents did, I heard the warning aleir gives and took out all the guys in front before lyn began moving on normal so I had no trouble with this paralouge but I understand maddening is another beast entirely. Good to know what actually triggers the reinforcements tho.
you could rush the tents with fliers while distracting the bow knights and wyverns with stronk bait units like louis and whoever else you have that can kill them at this point. that was my strat for beating the map below the rec level (at least on hard), maybe it's gonna work for you
I wasn't able to make it to most of the tents, but I managed to beat this by having Alear with the Corrin emblem stand in front of a bridge and spam the Fire Vein. My dancer would then dance him so he can run away (my dancer had canter so he could run as well) and someone who could actually take a hit would take his place there in front of the bridge. Lyn kept Astral Storming Citrinne every other turn but it was easy to keep her healed up while I killed all the mobs. Super cheesy, but it worked and I got a ton of experience.
On maddening/classic I abused Yunaka with Corrin to hold the bridge while all of my units were by the tent in the top right corner. Gave her a flyer to focus on for her arrow barrage and kepts healing, dancing and holding. Waited for all the units to bunch up, then sent flyers to kill her illusion doubles. Gets you all of the tent rewards at least, which was nice.
Put the unit south and move them south west and have them wait on that island to draw aggro and flank. Wrap the two top units to help the squad on the west with the bowknights and let alear and a fast mover thank the top east enemies. Avoid the tents and gang up right before the trigger point for Lyn. Tiki's claw does alot of DMG to Lynn, still working on my strat, pandero works great.
I honeslty thought micaiahs paralogue was the easiest in the game I just bum rushed her down and she only managed to spawn a single reinforcement and they didn't even get to move and I got all the drops so I don't miss out on anything
defending top left with kagetsu+tiki emblem, louis+ike and 2 randoms to kill the mage/bow knight on the right side, worked for me. try rushing with your top right group to them.
Use Alear (divine dragon) with tiki and a thief with edelgard, easy peasy. It also helps if you have max support and probably around 10 bond level. I also maxed Lliberation with miciahs engraving, a +3 silver dagger with edelgards engraving. I thought they weren't attacking me because I had high avoid, but I noticed their defenses went past 20+ and they just stopped attacking
@Renzo I beat it without them either but this is what i remember using last. Literally all you need are 2 high avoid units. Also, dlc is part of the game still I don't know why it's dlc in the first place. Aren't you just being a cheap bastard? I never even buy dlc and only specific games like this I will buy dlc
I Just surrounded her and used Byleth to move everyone harder up against her. Also gave canto (Best skill) to my Favorite units before chapter 10, So by turn 5/7 ish I had her surrounded. She is also supricingly weak. so everyone survived her arrow rain all the time
I tried after recluting Hortensia in Maddening and couldn't manage to kill even one of those enemies in front of camps, but managed to bait Lyn close enough kill her before they reached me, to do that I used Obstruct to stall all those enemies and Warp + Rescue to move all my backup units around Lyn, it was definitely hell...
All Emblem maps can kinda be cheesed using Lyn on an Archer... all except Lyns map itself ofcourse XD Using her special Attack you can trigger bosses into moving before most of the generics are doing so and you can easily pick them off as they run into you before you even had the chance to be overwhelmed by everyone else on the map. I beat most of the Paralogues like that.... only unfortunate part is you get little EXP this way and very little of the gold drops some of the generics carry.
I've seen some guy with a good strat that relies on bringing 8 characters instead of 12 to pull them to north and kill with a thief in the east while choking the rest with a general or so in the northwest bridge
I am wrapping up my hard (first) run now. Can't wait to see what this is on maddening because i had no issues on Hard but the well/DLC has made the game too easy.
I didnt kill any of the guys in front of the tents lol. I used only eight, abandoning the four deployment spots to the left and changed alear to a great knight with resolve and had him plug the middle right bridge with a spear. And had my covert team with corrins fog take out the handful at the south. Then lyn hit them, everyone came out and i had them retreat to the bottom right bridge where yunaka dodged until alear cleared the mages at his bridge had general pannette take his place and he went south to kill lyn. 21 turns and alear gained 4 levels. Maddening btw
I beat this paralogue on my first try. But only because I was insanely overleveled. And even then, I still had a couple units killed off that I had to save with rewind. And despite all that, I still only won because both Yunaka and Alear effectively had 0% hit chances so they could safely kill all the bow knights guarding the tents.
I somehow manage to defeat this map with only alear standing in the end and lyn with one blow left but alear had to dodge like 15 Arrows tho thankfully she did
I did it at an average level of 15 with all basic classes The amount of choke points make it very possible, my biggest problem was healing Ivy over and over since she kept drawing the astra storms and living on 3 HP, I ran out of vulneraries and staves on this map. I did it on hard mode, maddening is probably impossible at that level and only Lucina ring which is when I attempted this paralogue.
This map is not bad tbh. I duo this stage with just alear and lapis (thief). The funny thing is, they leveled up as I was fighting and their bond levels went through the roof. I think their defense went so high after that the enemies stopped attacking me and I just walked around everywhere killing everything lmao. This is not bad compared to Ikes paralogue, I'm still trying to figure out what to do there.. so many armored units. Assuming I just need one super powered mage which I have none
Just finished it on maddening without killing one single tent captain lol. It was a bad idea, but i made it through with 4 rewinds. Legit had an entire army tailing me while i rushed Lyn to take her down in one player phase.
Played this on maddening. The Ike emblem was super good for tanking. Once Lyn was lured to the top I killed her using a lot of backup chain attacks. Her defence is trash(just like in FE7) and her engage attack does like 10 damage cus her strength sucks(just like in FE7)
I intentionally skipped this video until after I played it myself. I managed to kill all but two of those elite units before Lyn started. And holy cow as soon as they summoned the extra four units along with her bunshins i got f**ked big time. Was playing hard and even my otherwise invincible Chloe died to her ult, lost Jean to a 9-chain attack. Man can't imagine it on Maddening
There is a late game story battle with even MORE insane spawns than this one, believe it or not. I can't remember if it was chapt. 21,22, or 23. Its one of those. Infinite enemies from every direction spawn every turn. Groups of 6, with an assortment of classes, so your likely to get smacked around if you split up to deal with them. And if you ignore them and rush the center, they will swarm in ridiculous numbers in a turn or two.
My strat was get them clogged on a bridge with a bow knight on a choke point. I used an obstruct and occasionally freeze to block all of the other units from attacking and I would pick at them with long bows. Lyn couldn’t do anything and just got surrounded and died in 2 turns
You should try with tiki and abuse her dragon breath attack. That time if I didn't have a third unit, instead of 2, I would have beat the stage. Having only 2 units is so much easier for some of these stages 🙄 . Alear with tiki held the entire army off on the southern bridge except a few who came from the northwest side. Eventually too many surrounded my Anna mage and kill her. Just use 2 units it's way easier
I really like your upbeat commentary! i love the aesthetics of FE, but i feel bogged down when playing it for too long. It's nice to hear from someone who appreciates the mechanics
I did this on maddening after chapter 12, because that's when they give it to you... I had to crutch Tiki's free Regen so hard... it took 3 hours because the only emblems available at that point are Lucina, Edelgard, Tiki
@Suasive I see.. I think these maps scale with your heroes levels maybe, but I found it easier to play with only 2 because my other guys keep dying, and ar too hard to keep alive
@Suasive have you played tiki paralogue at higher level? That stage scaled for sure so I thought maybe it's the same for everything else. First time I played tiki I didn't know about dlc and I went in with high level team. Got wrecked and had to rely on 2 units, alear and yunaka
Actually that's where you're wrong you're not going to die depends on your units what I did is a choke point right there where you're currently at on the map and I use Tiki and with her she's damn near unstoppable and couldn't even hit the MC
I’m having trouble keeping Rosado alive which is sad because he’s a TREASURE and wyvern knights are historically one of my favorite fliers. I’ve pumped some dracoshields and seraph robes and resistance seals on him but he still gets farmed… any tips?
Is he just not dealing damage or is he getting 1 rounded by things? He does have medium speed which in this game on maddening is basically low speed. Most enemies have high speed and will double Rosado. Best use case I found for him was having him 1 shot or clean up damage other units put out. There may be some axes he can 1 round with if upgraded.
This map was a pain. I managed to beat it, only to realized that I forgot Etie died in the middle when I put my switch on sleep mode. Now she's a casualty and I gotta live the rest of the game with it. Absolutely hate enemy mages in this game.
I already knew when I saw it was Bows of the Winds, I’d end up getting upset lol and then she started moving. Brooooo, it’s the worst map in Binding Blade, why?
I did this like one chapter after it appeared. Was picking off the tent dudes then when Lyn started moving I just sent louis to kill everyone else. Was on Maddening so bc Lyn dealt 0 damage to him she ignored him and didn't trigger the reinforcements as she watched louis just kill the tent dudes
I like how Lyn talks about how her tribe was attacked... and then the player has to attack this replica tribe of hers.
This was straight up the most intense map in the game.
Right alongside the first Veyle map for me.

Ike is so much worse. It isn´t even funny. I thought 3H maddening was hard but Engage is just unreasonable later with how much the enemy outstats you.
@@Manslayer-eo1nh but as the player you get lots of tools to deal with that. Like an actual brain or all the staffs and emblems

This map is from one of FE6 gaiden chapter, and yes the gimmick is almost identical.

Is it the one where you attack Veyle and dudes just keep spawning in on every side?
@@IcedCoffeeGaming Yeah
Lyn and Ike both aren't even the real threat of their maps it's the op af minions nearby haha
i realized this was old when you forgot you had byleth on the first try(edit:that and the dual assist wolfknight)
I died when I tried this one …
i managed to beat this by bottlenecking the bow knights with a thief and swapping weapons to juggle aggro
I found this way easier than Sigurds. I had to be like 12 levels above Sigurds
I really like your upbeat commentary! i love the aesthetics of FE, but i feel bogged down when playing it for too long. It's nice to hear from someone who appreciates the mechanics
Are you going to do unit review videos for engage like you did for Triangle Strategy?
Yes
I did this on maddening after chapter 12, because that's when they give it to you... I had to crutch Tiki's free Regen so hard... it took 3 hours because the only emblems available at that point are Lucina, Edelgard, Tiki
Wait how do you get corrin as soon as lyns paralogue is open? I also did maddening but I don't have corrin yet
@@unskillfullymasterful you can't, you would have to do the paralogue late
@Suasive I see.. I think these maps scale with your heroes levels maybe, but I found it easier to play with only 2 because my other guys keep dying, and ar too hard to keep alive
@@unskillfullymasterful there's no scaling. Some players save them to beat them when they are higher level or to train their weaker units.
I didn't get the DLC but from what I hear Tiki is insane
@@IcedCoffeeGaming yes he's completely insane when you use her forgive + 5 all stats and her engaged skill gives you a free revival Stone

Any advice for Ikes paralogue? So tough with Ikes defense
I have a vid on it going live today I believe
How do you see damage on the tracer lines?

I already knew when I saw it was Bows of the Winds, I’d end up getting upset lol and then she started moving. Brooooo, it’s the worst map in Binding Blade, why?
Pasé ese paralogue no sé cómo porque Lyn me tenía cansado con sus flechas a larga distancia :( todos los paralogues de este juego son horribles! estoy en difícil/clásico y estoy tentado a bajarlo a normal 😭
A lot of the paralogues feel like challenge missions haha
Does she begin moving immediately on maddening mode?
She does not, you have a few turns
I did this like one chapter after it appeared. Was picking off the tent dudes then when Lyn started moving I just sent louis to kill everyone else. Was on Maddening so bc Lyn dealt 0 damage to him she ignored him and didn't trigger the reinforcements as she watched louis just kill the tent dudes
