- Yu Yu Hakusho: Original Soundtrack
Track 12: Homework ga Owaranai
All Rights go to the original composer and singers
Forever, Fornever!
This concludes the first Yu Yu Hakusho Original Soundtrack... I have five more soundtracks to load for Yu Yu Hakusho, though... ;)
Don't you love when a song sounds so 90's?
Most of the time, no. But this one is amazing
This and Revolutionary Girl Utena's opening "Rinbu Revolution" are two of the most 90s-ass anime songs on earth to me and they're both glorious.
Gotta love that wonderful reverb and analog style. That's what's unique with music those days
But this is more an 80's sound.
PlasmaPower YES! Not even an adult during that time but i still for some reason feel a sense of nostalgia when I hear 80s-90s music.
I'm 35 yearsd old, when I watched Yu Yu for first time I was like 13 years old and now this music still makes me feel so good. Here we go 2022!!!
I'm in love with 80's to 90's, holy craaaaaap....music just sounded so dreamy back then, call it nostalgia I don't care..I wasn't even born in the 80's (1994) so that says something..
mrm64 94 babies are the best
+Dont Know 90s babies in general (1997)
YES 94s ARE THE BEST!!
SAME! I love 80s music since I was a kid. Those beats man.
i feel you bro hahaha
I'm glad that YuYu Hakusho reminded us to do our homeworks first before watching the show back when we were kids.
I remember when Baldur's Gate reminded you to eat when you played the game. Sometimes I lose track of time when I'm playing.
But this is the ending song and it even says Neverending Homework... :'D
Sherlyna R spaceial laughed way too hard
It reminded me to throw it into the backseat.
@@Ffeoli1039 facts in classic Yusuke fashion
Matsuko's voice is very powerful and beautiful. Although these songs are fast paced yet you can't help but feel a little sadness. The effects didn't change over the years.
I notice a lot of J-rock/J-pop songs have that weird sadness in them. I think it's due to the modes they play in
yes it's so pro, not only the voice but the performance
@@ZeyTheDaemon That's an interesting way of putting it.
@@ZeyTheDaemon even the happy ones have that melancholic feeling
I think it's because the ending represent the Keiko sadness in most of time
1:00 every time I hear this part I can literally see botan flying over the city on her oar
YEEES I THOUGHT THE SAME
That’s because you’re a person with great taste in anime. 😊
that part instantly tightens my chest in nostalgia
...and here i thought it was a broom. Silly stupid me.
When the chorus hits, it's like a magic spell sending me on a journey
this theme song just makes me want to cry cuz i really miss yu yu hakusho
asia johnson saddest part in yu yu hakusho is when yusuke asked keiko will she marry him and that he will go to the demon world for awhile... that look on keiko's face..
FACTTTTSSSSSSSSS
And we r still waiting for him
Same here sis same here.
Me too. 😢 But if I'm going to watch Yuyu Hakusho again it will be my 4th time.
March 18th On my way to the wake event. I was blasting this tune so loud visualizing my friend Zato sitting next to me in the passenger seat even though shes no longer in this world .😢😭
This was one of her favorite anime
My friend Teresa B. Aka Zato past away march 5th 2020. Going to her wake today.
She was a year older than me she was one of the coolest Tomboy i ever hung out. She was like a sister to me.And She also grew up during the golden age of Toonami, cartoons and anime.
We met in HS in 2005 she was a senior and i was freshmen. She was a huge DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho,Cowboy bebop, outlaw star, and Baki the grappler fan. She loves video games, anime, cartoons, WWE. Her drawing takes inspiration from Akira Toriyama and she was good at it making her own fan drawings and style. Plus she was good at killer instinct(KI) game that i considered her the queen of KI. She kicked my ass i could never beat her in that game for the snes version.
Thank you for the memory Zato. Will meet again someday.
See you cowgirl. Someday. Somewhere
March-1-1988- March 5-20200+0
That's an amazing story, I'm sorry for your loss. RIP Zato
One of the greatest thing about art is that it can transport us to a time and place that we though were once over, but are forever in our hearts. So sorry for your loss and keep finding joy in the little (but beautiful) moments that life give us!
Thank you guys
RIP Zato. I felt this.
My sorrow and condolences for your departed "sister," neighbor. You honor her memory well.
1st ending is the best ending
facts, PREACH!!!
2nd ending for life
3 for me.. But this isn't far behind
Corpse Ghoul second is classic but this one just has so much spirit
the song "Heart of Sword" by TM revolution also gives a similar vibe
Homework ga Owaranai feels special to me everytime i'm listen to this, it's like i got pulled back to those time. and there's a memory that i can't put into words when this song played on my mind
yes, especially the chorus part
Definitely among the most memorable of childhood moments. I always left this show inspired

And we are from different countries, feeling the same things. This is something special.
Hope you guys are doing well

The instrumental at the end is too fire
When I was 15. My friend and I bikes to the comic store or chapters and bought a yu yu hakusho almost every week. Saved up to buy the whole show on blu Ray.

Yu yu made that cool when I was in high school
@@retrocute still do it this day. Catching yyh by accident and watch the first ending credits, seeing those four looking badass almost instantly hooked me.
Typical anime attitude.
that's 80s style
Yu Yu Hakusho is easily one of those animes I can binge watch over and over again and still enjoy it!
I can't stop playing the ending guitar over and over, help
I need help too 😂
I hope no one forgot about this anime, I saw it in the early 2000's and I loved every minute of it. This ending was the best back then, I love new anime but nothing can beat the 90's.
Never forgotten.
Yu Yu Hakusho is unforgettable
A song I would love to listen to while driving in a cold night as the road is illuminated by street lights.
same picture in my head.
Me too
I would say if driving just outside of a town viewing it from the side of the road, sort of sets the scene accurately in both scenarios. Having said that the Japanese version might be good while driving through a town or city while the English version suits driving just outside of one.
My favorite Song from Yu Yu Hakusho!
whoever is singin this really has a powerful voice
There is also a version of this song sung by the japanese voice actress of kurama. On yt they call it the rare version.
Matsuko Mawatari, man :D I already talked with her on facebook.
she's excellent
You want some sad new? the original singer is dead.
Kaede Jiang Yu yu hakusho forever, 🙏🏼
Yuyu Hakusho had one of the best soundtracks for an anime
i say same
Holy shit, I really miss my childhood days way back then in 1990's. this is the time when ghost fighter (as we call it here in the philippines) was stroming the philippine television and our hearts!
love it. the guitar in the end is beautiful
Hell yeah makes me want to buy a electric guitar and play that shit 😤😤
the best solos derive from the main melody of the song
Not really a big fan of the last parts but the note that starts the whole ending solo makes up for everything....
Even till now whenever I rewatch Yu Yu Hakusho I would always comeback to listening to this song just because of it
Oh my GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!
Haha Sun of the gun
JOJO lol
😁
They are going to eat me!
Oh my goooooooooooooooooooooooo
@@dukkemonterier3429 haha good one
I firmly remembered this song in English as I grew up with the English dub back in the 2000’s but after recently binging the entire anime in Japanese, I noticed many differences and started falling in love with the series all over again. It was like experiencing it for the first time again but in a different light and this Japanese version of the intros/outros can get you hooked.
If none of you have experienced the Japanese dub, I recommend giving it a shot. It may take some getting used to if you’re wired to the E-Dub but the dialogue and overall experience is closer to the manga and is so worth it in my opinion.
I really liked this song! My teenager~ 😊 추억에 젖네요.
Tonight the sharp seconds hand keeps carving into time
Tick-tick-tick
I throw away this homework that I can never get done
Son of a gun!
These dreams keep on rolling, and I want to chase after them
If I stop, they'll get away, so I can't lose track of them
A promise is a sin, and the cancel bell rang a while ago
Ring-ring-ring
You're the goal in a Moebius strip, and I can never see you
Oh my God!
I don't want to associate with people who don't cry (have no tears)
The moment you embrace sadness, I'll pull you to me with my hands
These dreams keep on rolling, and I want to chase after them
Even if tomorrow looks pale, someday I'll be able to catch you
These dreams keep on rolling, and I want to chase after them
If I stop, they'll get away, so I can't lose track of them
These dreams keep on rolling...
Think its "sun of a gun" based on the original Japanese broadcast subtitle.
this song is so gosh dang good
Brings so many memories, to the times I did not have to care about anything , just enjoying the moment
Classic old school song, 90´s J-Pop was the best :)
More like a fusion between rock and jazz.
Jorge Sanchez
Maybe, but every commercial song is considered pop in Japan ...
RoDrigo00 Actually Pop is just popular lol
so... yeah, I agree.
RoDrigo00 80s city pop is good too.
rap as found in a certain website...
I just don't wanna mess with this
Nothing but terrible
I pass the rest (Never threaten me)
I pass the rest

Where everything makes sense
I won't compromise
I won't waste more time
Better keep on giving it on time

I remember when I was younger, I used to watch this show all the time on Toonami. This song makes me reminisce about the past.
Yes! me too =) I watched Yuyu Hakusho on Toonami in 2007 heheh one of my favourite parts was the ending, this one is very relaxing and vibing, I enjoyed it as well as the episode, I also liked so much to sing it, I remembered very well most part of he lyrics x)!
Since School is starting for me, this the perfect song to listen too~Even when I'm doing homework.
Wish i was born during the 80's and 90's, era of music. Generally speaking, music from those time periods are gems. No matter the language and language barrier, these songs will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️
May have not been around in '80s or 90s but this show is awesome and the '80s and '90s are the best
perfect song powerful voice
This is way better. I can hear the guitar, the strings, and the piano all together
The English is still pretty considering when it came out. Not too many animes used the Japanese intros or endings and usually made their own which usually sounds out of place. I give the dubbing team a lot of credit when it came to remaking the songs in English.
@@Ffeoli1039 They did a great job with this and Sayonara Bye Bye. Japanese version has stronger vocals and live instruments but they made it great in their own way.
@@ChawletMelk
I agree honestly, the Japanese mixing was too good.
Imo, the vocals might be evenly matched!
2018... Yu Yu FOREVER!!!!!!!!

Hearing this song used to be a delight for me after school in the old Toonami days. For those that remember Toonami had an afternoon and late night block of shows. Don't know if it was for every city/region though.

I just miss the old days! Back when anime and music was actually Good! Things are not the same anymore! It's sad! Depressing to be honest! I miss the old school! The old school anime's is what really paved the way for all this new stuff we got! Wasn't for old school who knows where we would be!
But what about good newer anime like my hero and mon psycho stop living in the past bro
JoJo's grandfathered into my tastes bc its manga started in the 80s yet the show started in 2012...though it got an OVA in 1993 released out of order

my favorite sound track
Coming back to thos somg on 2019 with a heart of extremely fond memories in my childhood. One of my absolute favorite anime (hell shows in general) growing up.
Back in the good ole days when they released dubbed versions of the OPs and EDs for the anime too. YuYu Hakushos songs sounded awesome Americanized too.
Beautiful piece of art, 80's 90's and earlier 2000's showed awesome openings and endings for part of these animes. Now, nothing is compare with these songs because today's anime is trash not all of them but there are not sentiments when it comes to sing like this girl does. That's why memories are something that we cannot escape due to this. I miss my childhood a miss the days where anime was made of love, passion, combat, real friendship and other more things. Goodbye old days, future is different 😭😭
the guitar at the end makes me feel a little sad probably becuz its the end but its one of/if not the best part of this song ^^
And of course Mariya Takeuchi's "Plastic Love" shows up in my sidebar....again.

Ah, so nostalgic. Everytime I rewatched it it was a magical moment. Ah I wanna go back to 2014 when I first watched it. 😌
(December 2019) i remember listening to this song while riding the bus at night. It felt so surreal. Then i went down and walked on the skybridge meandering around the city lights. It is windy that time. That moment went so fast, It felt like a dream, as if it never really happened.
