@@JinSakai-lt2vzMost of his leather equipment looks naturally light (if properly treated with leather conditioner or leather grease it becomes much darker), and sounds quite dry. Actually you can see some bits of leather sheer off on his shovel carrier when he sheaths his shovel, should take a lot more than that to cause leather to do that.
Something a lot of folks overlook, so no biggie, but properly treating your leather can make your impression look infinitely better, and also boosts your kit’s life span, if it’s dry leather it can crumble apart or rot, if you take proper care of it, it’ll probably outlive you.
@@AmphiStuGI think his leather is light because probably because of the impression and also I also have ww1 gear and I treat my leather very good I think it’s because the leather is rough (the belt )
Did you know that the French and British Soldiers hated the bajonett with the saw side. They often killed and tortured the soldiers because the used this. The Soldiers with the normal ones normally got arrested if the didn’t die.
I suggest opting to use a gas mask container with strap rather than the gas mask holder. It gives a more standard look and more accurate one at that. I suggest you treat the leather to natural black so its a little more accurate. Lastly, I suggest you tailor ur sleeves so it won’t give you ariana grande sleeves
Noah I got mine from IMA but it’s a bit over priced in my opinion for the quality. If you want something cheap SARCO has one or for something more expensive buy an original
As a question what were the different designations for the different colors with the feldmütze. If I remember red is for the regular Prussian army, green was for jäger and units from saxony, yellow for cavalry, etc?
whell the coloured band was only for branch designation while the 2 small colloured buttons where for region the top button was a national cockade while the bottom one is a regional cockade like: saxony, prussia, Wruttenberg etc...
ok so red is for all infantry of the german empire, yellow is for cavarly units ( it depends on what unit heavily),green is infact for jägers, black for pioneers and artillerie iirc and blue is for train troops im pretty sure thought they could have just had the same black line as pioneers
What does the piping color of the should boards represent? I noticed that all of the pictures I see of infantrymen have white piping, and the artillery men have red piping. Does the piping color represent the branch similar to the Wehrmacht?
I did some research, and this is what I found (with sources): Alternatewars.com - www.alternatewars.com/BBOW/Colors/Waffenfarben.htm the Imperial Germany Army used coloured piping to represent State or Corps affiliation to a greater degree than differentiating between branches, though limited usage with that intention did occur. Worldwar1.com - www.worldwar1.com/sfgrank.htm Prior to 1915, the edging on other officers and enlisted men's shoulder boards were the color assigned to the Corps the soldier's unit was affiliated with. After 1915, the color of the edging of officer's and enlisted men's shoulder boards was set by the arm of service color, called the Waffenfarbe. The Waffenfarbe for Infanterie was white, cornflower blue for Dragoner (Dragoon) and Landwehr cavalry units, red for Ulanen (Lancer) cavalry and Feldartillerie (Field Artillery) units, gold for Fussartillerie (Foot or Heavy Artillery) units, black for the Ingenieur und Pionierkorps (Combat Engineers), and bright blue for Train units.
7:31 the backpack looks cool.
You need to treat all of your leather dude...
His leather is fine what are you talking about???

When your capture men you don’t arrest them, they go to a POW camp
those were only given to engineers
Great content. Keep them coming!
Funny how I have to use a bread bag strap for the same thing in ww2
8:02 cool cat
Thanks for the detailed explainig !!!
The picklehaube helm cover looks like a lighthouse lol.
Kit looks nice but too clean and new, got to age it a little mate. From a WW2 Heer reenactor
especially for WWI where you're spending most of your time in a filthy, muddy trench

My name my put it off but after my East German infantry impression I’m gonna start an imperial german impression of a
Saxon regiment
Amazing I would love to re-enact and maybe I will in a few years when I’m to a point where I wound outgrow my impression
Edit 2: wouldn’t
nice
Since you are doing middle war or late war your belt buckle has to be grey not gold
Where did you get the saw back bayonet?

very cool , i'm trying to buy a ww1 m15 tunic but i can't find any place that sell thie m15 tunic
What size do you recommend for about 5'9 man
Of what?
Tunic and trousers
You have to take you’re own measurements but my guess is a 40 or 42 chest and 30 to 34 pants
Where'd you find your gear and uniform at?

The one he has with a black band on it is the stormtrooper cap I believe. They also had black epaulets with red liner I think.

Hey just a question but do you know where i can get a pair of german ww1 jackboots? Specifically size 13-14?
Sorry for the late answer
They are very cheap on soldier of fortune militaria in the uk and they are a little more expensive in nestof wich is in poland
does anyone know where i can buy things like that???
Where did you get your Stahlhelm
Originals and replica you can find them on eBay but you can replicas mainly on epicmilitaria.com or ima or amazon.
Where did you buy your helmet? Looks good! I know they are on epic, ebay, and amazon, but yours?
Quick question, how do I measure for the trousers? I'm just used to pant measurements like 32 34 etc... what do I have to measure for the requirement?
You should do a video about what you put in your bread bag
Ww2 Films As of now I sadly don’t have anything to put in it.
Ah ok

It’s for stormtroopers
What color bread bag did they use in late war ww1?
Gray
dude have you ever heard of leather grease?
Leather grease?
Just got my M16 Stahlhelm
If you are doing a late war impression you have to dye your leather all black
Saw backs were outlawed by both sides! If the enemy got caught with one, they would be tortured before killed..
They weren't banned they were used by many different countries well past ww2
