Other tail spin combos take on the element of the other tech used. Twister is Shadow since Laser Spin is Shadow for instance. And Dino Tail is physical.
Wasn't tail spin light damage? Wind attacks count as light in this game such as Chrono's wind slash, a wind attack and still counts as light for enemies that absorb that element.
Most of the time I would usually use the following 5 Triple Techs more often than any of the others. 1: Triple Raid 2: Spin Strike 3: Twister 4: Dark Eternal 5: 3D Attack
it's 3-D attack most of the time for me. It's quick and deals better damage than most single-target Triple Techs, plus it's completely physical like Triple Raid which is helpful since most later bosses usually have stronger magical defenses so they can be helpless against physica damage. Plus the synergy between Crono, Frog, and Ayla are unmatched imo (Frog and Ayla have Slurp Kiss which is the best healing Dual Tech, Frog and Crono have X-Strike which is cool-looking and fast, Ayla having Charm just makes her a must-have for most bosses, and Ayla and Crono have Falcon Hit which is one of the best multi-target Dual Tech imo)
That's the "downside" of using him. He has strong magic and a variety, including strong physical, but he can't use Dual techs. It ties into the story as well. He's a loner and doesn't get along well with the rest of the group. He doesn't even consider them friends (until maybe the very end) he just sees them as people who will help him kill Lavos, much like the Fiends in the middle ages.
I love that there's every permutation of Triple Tech, except Magus and Ayla. Magus has some with rocks and not others. I think Supergiant Games carried on this idea with Bastion, Transistor, and especially Hades. (Also, I guess Pyre which sort of sucked. ) (I liked it if you liked the game design of NBA Jam.)
@@dSCHUMI1004 would’ve been cool to see this specific attack in its prime, ya know having frog under 100hp? But it’s cool I’ll go check it out ty for the video.
This is a bad video because you're using a battle where the characters and enemies are all huddled together. It doesn't show off the movements and screen-wide effects that normally happen when there's greater distance between the characters.
pretty sure this vid's just listing out all the Triple Techs that you can get in the game and nothing else, so there's no need to consider other details.
I also made a Video with all Dual Techs: th-cam.com/video/mMGdKjddE5M/w-d-xo.html
Dark Eternal is the most badass attack in the game. Without a doubt.
They save Grand Dream for last in literally every tech video
Agreed.
Great job with putting this together! Thank you!
Dark Eternal is the summon of a nacho flying fast af through space
I wish more games included double and triple technique between characters
Phantasy Star IV features the ability to combine magics and techs. I'm not aware of any other games that do this.
@@micahwendell but it doesn't show on screen like this game.
@@sarcanicus1 yes it does.
Legend of Heroes has them. Up to 6 in the first game.
I am Setsuna also has double and triple techs
Game: 15 triple techs!
15 year old me: Triple Raid every single time nothing else hehe brrrr
Poyozo Dance is one example of a good acid trip.

Wow damn thanks broo
Interestingly enough, Poyozo Dance is one of only two techniques to inflict non-elemental magic damage (the other being Tail Spin).
Obviously theres also all of tail spins dual and teiple techs and i thought dino tail was also magic?

Woah! Omega Flare was super cool!
Omega Flare is Boss!

LOL why does Grand Dream do 1 damage?
It deals damage based on Frogs or the whole parties HP (not sure which). Less HP = more damage
Arc Impulse and Delta Storm are my favorites
Omega flare is the best
Its the best team also.
Final kick my favorite

I wish there were more Triple Techs with Magus, my current team with him can't use any. 😔

As far as I know its damage is based on Frogs HP. More HP = less damage.
