    I did Uber driving in Wollongong for 2 years..and picked up over 10,000 people! I met so many lovely people. Only had 3 issues. Wollongong is awesome. I’m an old guy. I’ve got to say the young people in Wollongong are impressive! It was sad to say goodbye to having all those friendly chats. I could write a book on some of the happenings too :)

    I've lived in the Illawarra 3/4 of my life and I must say, it is the perfect mix of city and county mixed with beach life. It's a shame that it has now overtaken Melbourne in terms of house prices

    Wow! Interesting to walk in a city I must admit I’v never heard of. The architecture is actually quite different to any place I’ve been to, kind of clean cut. Crisp colors and smooth makes it a lovely experience!

    Very clear video. In 2022 in May my daughter made a tour programme to pay a visit to Wollongong sea beach. But we postponed due to another programme in Central. But never knew about such a big city. However, it appears quiet due to less habitants like Canberra. We have plan to visit next time when go to Sydney. Thanks for uploading such a informative post.

      @@soulwaves20000 ya really 'well u should have been there when it was a great place to live in the 70s n 80s, Yes before that crappy Mall as it destroyed the place n made it into a ghost town.

    • @soulwaves20000
      @soulwaves20000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davechristian7543 really? It did give me a bit of a ghost town impression, but that was part of its charm. It felt like no one was working, like permanent vacation, the pubs were full....of nice people willing to party and chit chat...the surf was extraordinary, l bought myself a good board, my favorite spot was near the old steelworks, there was a giant magic wave, and the steelworks in the background are so charming. The sunsets were out of this world, especially viewed from the water, the red/purple reflections on the nice waves were divine. Felt kind of lonely tho. Only downside.
