I grew up in Austinmer which is on the northern fringe of Wollongong and used to go there a lot in the 70’s up until I moved away from the area in 1983. I have been back a couple of times but was disappointed with how much it’s changed. Personally, I always thought Wollongong had a seedy feel back then and now. I remember shopping at Crown Central with the pedestrian walkway across the street but that’s gone now. The beaches were better north of Wollongong too. It is still a part of my childhood and my hometown and even after 40 years, a part of me still belongs there.
Do u live here in Wollongong and know bit of it mate???. Could u plz help me out which 2-3 primary and High schools r best in the city?? As I m coming next month to settle down here. And plz suggest can I get a ok-ok job here?? As we will be 4 in a family, just got 491 visa.
You're in the GONG. You must make enough of money doing this gig. To live on. Next time you're in the south coast? Go down to Shellharbour city centre. Just catch a bus 37, 53, 51 from the train station just outside the exit/entrance off Platform 2. That should take you all the way to shellies the last stop. And its the same bus numbers to get back to wollongong train station. Last stop of that route.
Wowww... U know in&out of Wollongong it seems man. Could u plz help me out which 2-3 primary and High schools r best in the city?? As I m coming next month to settle down here sir. And plz suggest can I get a ok-ok job here?? As we will be 4 in a family, just got 491 visa
@@gogadev It honestly just really depends of the type of day. You’d rarely ever see any brazen muggings during business hours in the heart of the CBD. Crimes here are mostly home invasions, car break ins, theft, etc. unless you went walking around Mangerton or Cringilla by yourself at night, you’ll be fine, lol
Hey bro@@Pandak-Bonsay, i can see u r the most active member in Wollongong chats.... Plz do help and suggest me things.... We r planning to settle down in Wollongong next month. So need to know few good school s both primary and high schools. If u can suggest

U r absolutely correct that as time passes our priorities and things changes.. but we r bit different persons all together. We need good community, good people of all ages. We r coming from INDIA. Will land in Sydney and then come to Wollongong for 20days to shortlist things like area, school, etc. Then come back to India to take my family to Wollongong.
@@Pandak-Bonsay is there anyway I can connect with u if incase I need? Is there any disparity amoung different communities of people??? I heard kids in school bully new students with diff community, is it so man?? My daughter is-8 and son is 17yrs old. They shouldn't be dipressed at all after coming here no..... Can u also suggest some good areas, where we should try to live. Areas far from criminals and robbers and people like that please??
