I may not create content at this type of scope, but I do have a desk job at a place I love. But I still hate going to work after a while. The pressure of having millions of people waiting anxiously for new content would be overwhelming to say the least.

As someone who has gone through a YEARS long process of trying different meds, tons of tests, going back and forth from doctor to specialist, I feel you Jack(I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Started having symptoms when I was 5, wasn't diagnosed until I was a teenager). You just have to stick to your guns, the light at the end of the tunnel is worth the wait. I know how absolutely awful and angering it feels to just NOT KNOW what is wrong with you, but I assure you, finding the answers and getting your daily health back in shape is a game changer. You just take the time you need!

Hey Jack! I’m also chronically ill. You have no idea how much it means to me to have a TH-camr that I love relate to me more than ever before. It’s nice knowing that someone else knows the physical and mental toil of going through it. Of course we both wish we didn’t need to know from first hand experience of it, but finding others is such a relief. I’ve been through 7 doctors, and a year later I was diagnosed. 8 years later I’m still fighting that battle, just not as hard. Its gotten better, but will still be a lifelong battle. It’s a long journey, man. I don’t think you have the same chronic illness as me, so that might change how long your fight is, but once you find the things that work, it’ll make it that much easier for you.
It can be exhausting for sure. Especially when you can't find the answers you're looking for. That's been my experience anyways. Hope you are well and having a good day when/if you see this...

Protocol Droid, did I ever tell you about my glorious mission with D squad? *Well I believe R2 has already-* It was a life or death mission, as I led D-squad behind enemy lines to retrieve vital information and even save the republic fleet after that! Best part of the mission was of course learning how useful those "magic dicks" of astromech droids are. *Brigadier General, I do believe the proper term for referring to-* Forget the proper term, they might as well called them that becuase of how much they resembled them. Hell it might as well be called that after I had the entire squad ram me up my ass. It was amazing I tell you as they rotated their magic dicks inside me like they were trying to unlock my ass as if it were the blast doors of venator-class star destroyer. It was more amazing as I rode inside the astromech droid's head as he used his inner circuitry and systems to practically ensure I couldn't walk straight for the duration of the mission. And in the end, once R2 had fully recovered of course, we all had a glorious orgy of sorts. You should've seen the "lady" astromech as she was just utterly covered in astromech spunk, which I presume to be oil, by the other droids. R2 let out the biggest load of them all, you should've seen him as he just went utterly wild. After that we all just parted ways, and they were all good friends. Most interesting story Brigadier General, but now if you'd excuse me I must find Master Skywalker to have him wipe my memory.
It's nice to see more and more creators realize that their mental/physical health always comes before content. I know alot of creators that unnecessarily strain themselves for content and make it unenjoyable for themselves so I am sooo happy to see you keeping up with your own needs.
I'm so flipping happy that although he feels weird about breaks, he still takes them. I really hope that he can find a better balance with taking breaks and making others remember that health is important no matter if it's physical or mental. :)

I no joke throw up my dinner every night before I go to bed which sucks. I just want you to know that I am going through what your going through rn. You’re not alone man, plz get better!

@@vesnailic1011 thank you so much! Acid reflux, otherwise known as heartburn, is when acid from your stomach goes up your esophagus and causes a burning sensation in the throat. In other words acid shoots up your throat and burns the shit out of it and irritates me. Anyway my heartburn gives me shortness of breath and it makes me throw up, usually at night. It also worsens my anxiety because I feel like im going to die when I get shortness of breath. Anyway’s thank you so much, it made my day!

It takes months to actually work. I felt like there was a huge spring cleaning in my head, first it had to make a mess to pack everything up, and put them back to where they are suppesed to be. So first it was worse but still I knew it's going to work. I hope it makes sense :D
i started taking SSRI in march last year and at some point my despression really did get somewhat worse cuz I felt so hollow, for me depression is linked to a lot of internal panicand fatigue and emptiness but at some point every drained out and it was just hollow and weird. i felt like I need the panic back to fill that emptiness with smth. turns out it's normal but fuck it sucked ass
Easiest way to understand is there's this: There's depression, and there's anxiety. Anxiety is a panic attack that will cause you to be distressed. So here comes depression to dull everything so that you're calmer. Depression dulls and numbs your happy thoughts, but it also numbs your anxiety. And herein lies the problem. Something is causing the anxiety, be it trauma, ptsd, current environment. So if you don't treat what's causing the anxiety, but then take meds for depression then PRESTO the dullness goes away! And now the dam is broken and you get energy! Focus! Clarity!! And massive panic attacks. So you then have the energy and drive to do something horrible to end the anxiety. Or a rebound effect where body causes even more depression to keep the panic and anxiety down. So treating the depression needs to go hand in hand with treating the anxiety.
Honestly, I LOVE re watching your old playlists. They help me sleep especially now when I have almost constant panic attacks, my favorites are Fran bow, NITW and tales from the borderlands. I hope you feel better soon, I had a bad reaction to my antidepressants so now I only have good Old therapy and anime to cheer me up. 🤘

its been awhile since ive watched jack’s videos, and honestly coming back to his channel and seeing his short film was quite shocking. i’ve never related to such a feeling more so visually. all the more, my heart sank when i found out that this was what he dealt with for the past few years. to jack: no one said this life was going to be easy. you haven’t had it any easier than most individuals. but, you pulled through, or you are STILL pulling through. and that’s commendable. as a 18 year old individual finishing her final year of IB in singapore, the stress is immense. i have an autistic brother at home whom has behavioural issues and it honestly causes my family a lot of stress because we don’t know how to deal with him. i had gone through a serious breakup with someone toxic in my life. and as a result from all these stresses plus the past 4 years of being in a competitive school environment, i completely lost it in 2020 during my first senior year, and was diagnosed with severe anxiety and moderate to severe depression. i feel your pain, jack. i feel the pit in your stomach when you found out that you had to be put on anti-depressants and anxiety medication. all the doubts of whether this will finally resolve your mental health issues, knowing deep in your heart that these are not the answers to your problems. but, what do i know, as an 18 year old, standing amongst 7billion people. a dust in the wind. these thoughts are overwhelming at times. but, i can promise you, it will get better. take a break jack. take a serious, long break. do not feel bad for ditching work, because ultimately, your health is your top priority. even to us. take a break without having to look back and be worried about having to pick up where you left off. i know its hard, especially with the small bursts of anxiety that may break out occasionally during the day. but the payoff is worth it. you will feel happier than you were a month, two months back. and you will look back realising how far you have come in terms of creating a better mental headspace for yourself. take care, jack. we are here for you. 🤍🤍

Sean isn't nearly old enough to be my (or most of you peoples) dad, but I always thought he would make a great one. My dad is a narcissistic asshole who mistreated his children his whole life, but it has shown me exactly what kind of people to avoid. I know it's impossible to be real, but I've always seen many of my friends and some internet personalities as part of my family, because my parents didn't really provide one. I know the way youtoubers etc. present themselves online is usually not the way they are irl, but that makes no difference for me. I will probably never meet them irl, but they have made me so happy, and motivated, even in my worst moments. I will never forget this, and I will always see them as something very special in my life. I hope Sean and many others realize we don't see them as video producing machines, but as PEOPLE with flesh and feelings.

Hey man I can't say I 100% relate but I've dealt with bad asthma my whole life (and bad acid reflux for the last 5 years to boot). It SUCKS. I'm also pretty Irish, maybe it's an Irish thing lol. I have been taking this medicine called Advair for my asthma for like 7 years and it has almost completely gotten rid of my asthma issues, I was hitting my inhaler 2-3 times a day before getting it and very rarely need it now. Just throwing that out there. Love your content, best of luck with your issues.

I've had a similar feeling of "not being myself" for the last year or so, and your content is usually a fun escape, so I was wary of listening to more serious talk from you. But I'm glad I did. Because you aren't obligated to be happy easy content for me or anyone. I enjoy these "glimpses behind the content" and how honest you are. As someone who has struggled more and more with depression over the years, I am a firm believe in taking care of yourself and not forcing a front of happiness for the sake of others-far too often that just hurts you. So thanks, for being honest and upfront :') You have a huge backlog of content I can always binge when I need to chill (as someone who only subscribed a few years ago there's LOADS back there I haven't seen, lol), and I'm glad to hear you're feeling creative and wanting to branch out. Agreed, I think the platform should provide content creators an option to almost temporarily freeze the algorithm for their videos to give them a break for both mental and physical health purposes.
I haven’t seen much push back, so i think it is pretty normal, i think youtubers just make a bigger deal out of it to be nice instead of just saying “im taking a break be back when im back”
This resonates with me so much. I can’t speak for your health issues jack but personally I know that anxiety has manifested itself into a number of things. Nausea, dizziness, insomnia, GI issues, etc. I know that the ssri may not have worked but it may also be that it wasn’t the right one. I have tried them and they didn’t work for me but they have worked for people I know like my mother and aunt. Give yourself time, take time for yourself and your loved ones and if you’re brave enough you can try them again. If not that’s also ok. You’re not alone

As someone who has gone through a YEARS long process of trying different meds, tons of tests, going back and forth from doctor to specialist, I feel you Jack(I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Started having symptoms when I was 5, wasn't diagnosed until I was a teenager). You just have to stick to your guns, the light at the end of the tunnel is worth the wait. I know how absolutely awful and angering it feels to just NOT KNOW what is wrong with you, but I assure you, finding the answers and getting your daily health back in shape is a game changer. You just take the time you need!
A week isn’t long dude. Take your time. Make sure you’re health is okay first. We can wait.

You have no idea how much it means to me to have a TH-camr that I love relate to me more than ever before. It’s nice knowing that someone else knows the physical and mental toil of going through it.
Of course we both wish we didn’t need to know from first hand experience of it, but finding others is such a relief.
I’ve been through 7 doctors, and a year later I was diagnosed. 8 years later I’m still fighting that battle, just not as hard. Its gotten better, but will still be a lifelong battle. It’s a long journey, man.
I don’t think you have the same chronic illness as me, so that might change how long your fight is, but once you find the things that work, it’ll make it that much easier for you.
It can be exhausting for sure. Especially when you can't find the answers you're looking for. That's been my experience anyways. Hope you are well and having a good day when/if you see this...

Forget the proper term, they might as well called them that becuase of how much they resembled them. Hell it might as well be called that after I had the entire squad ram me up my ass. It was amazing I tell you as they rotated their magic dicks inside me like they were trying to unlock my ass as if it were the blast doors of venator-class star destroyer.
It was more amazing as I rode inside the astromech droid's head as he used his inner circuitry and systems to practically ensure I couldn't walk straight for the duration of the mission. And in the end, once R2 had fully recovered of course, we all had a glorious orgy of sorts. You should've seen the "lady" astromech as she was just utterly covered in astromech spunk, which I presume to be oil, by the other droids. R2 let out the biggest load of them all, you should've seen him as he just went utterly wild. After that we all just parted ways, and they were all good friends.

@@vesnailic1011 thank you so much! Acid reflux, otherwise known as heartburn, is when acid from your stomach goes up your esophagus and causes a burning sensation in the throat. In other words acid shoots up your throat and burns the shit out of it and irritates me. Anyway my heartburn gives me shortness of breath and it makes me throw up, usually at night. It also worsens my anxiety because I feel like im going to die when I get shortness of breath. Anyway’s thank you so much, it made my day!

As your body gets used to them, you feel worse and then they treat it.
It takes months to actually work. I felt like there was a huge spring cleaning in my head, first it had to make a mess to pack everything up, and put them back to where they are suppesed to be. So first it was worse but still I knew it's going to work. I hope it makes sense :D
i started taking SSRI in march last year and at some point my despression really did get somewhat worse cuz I felt so hollow, for me depression is linked to a lot of internal panicand fatigue and emptiness but at some point every drained out and it was just hollow and weird. i felt like I need the panic back to fill that emptiness with smth. turns out it's normal but fuck it sucked ass

Easiest way to understand is there's this: There's depression, and there's anxiety. Anxiety is a panic attack that will cause you to be distressed. So here comes depression to dull everything so that you're calmer.
Depression dulls and numbs your happy thoughts, but it also numbs your anxiety. And herein lies the problem.
Something is causing the anxiety, be it trauma, ptsd, current environment. So if you don't treat what's causing the anxiety, but then take meds for depression then PRESTO the dullness goes away! And now the dam is broken and you get energy! Focus! Clarity!! And massive panic attacks. So you then have the energy and drive to do something horrible to end the anxiety. Or a rebound effect where body causes even more depression to keep the panic and anxiety down.
So treating the depression needs to go hand in hand with treating the anxiety.
Honestly, I LOVE re watching your old playlists. They help me sleep especially now when I have almost constant panic attacks, my favorites are Fran bow, NITW and tales from the borderlands.
I hope you feel better soon, I had a bad reaction to my antidepressants so now I only have good Old therapy and anime to cheer me up. 🤘

its been awhile since ive watched jack’s videos, and honestly coming back to his channel and seeing his short film was quite shocking. i’ve never related to such a feeling more so visually. all the more, my heart sank when i found out that this was what he dealt with for the past few years.

no one said this life was going to be easy. you haven’t had it any easier than most individuals. but, you pulled through, or you are STILL pulling through. and that’s commendable. as a 18 year old individual finishing her final year of IB in singapore, the stress is immense. i have an autistic brother at home whom has behavioural issues and it honestly causes my family a lot of stress because we don’t know how to deal with him. i had gone through a serious breakup with someone toxic in my life. and as a result from all these stresses plus the past 4 years of being in a competitive school environment, i completely lost it in 2020 during my first senior year, and was diagnosed with severe anxiety and moderate to severe depression. i feel your pain, jack. i feel the pit in your stomach when you found out that you had to be put on anti-depressants and anxiety medication. all the doubts of whether this will finally resolve your mental health issues, knowing deep in your heart that these are not the answers to your problems. but, what do i know, as an 18 year old, standing amongst 7billion people. a dust in the wind.
these thoughts are overwhelming at times. but, i can promise you, it will get better. take a break jack. take a serious, long break. do not feel bad for ditching work, because ultimately, your health is your top priority. even to us. take a break without having to look back and be worried about having to pick up where you left off. i know its hard, especially with the small bursts of anxiety that may break out occasionally during the day. but the payoff is worth it. you will feel happier than you were a month, two months back. and you will look back realising how far you have come in terms of creating a better mental headspace for yourself.

Sean isn't nearly old enough to be my (or most of you peoples) dad, but I always thought he would make a great one. My dad is a narcissistic asshole who mistreated his children his whole life, but it has shown me exactly what kind of people to avoid. I know it's impossible to be real, but I've always seen many of my friends and some internet personalities as part of my family, because my parents didn't really provide one. I know the way youtoubers etc. present themselves online is usually not the way they are irl, but that makes no difference for me. I will probably never meet them irl, but they have made me so happy, and motivated, even in my worst moments. I will never forget this, and I will always see them as something very special in my life. I hope Sean and many others realize we don't see them as video producing machines, but as PEOPLE with flesh and feelings.

Hey man I can't say I 100% relate but I've dealt with bad asthma my whole life (and bad acid reflux for the last 5 years to boot). It SUCKS. I'm also pretty Irish, maybe it's an Irish thing lol. I have been taking this medicine called Advair for my asthma for like 7 years and it has almost completely gotten rid of my asthma issues, I was hitting my inhaler 2-3 times a day before getting it and very rarely need it now. Just throwing that out there. Love your content, best of luck with your issues.

I only just made myself sit down to watch this. I got the notice when I came up and had the immediate sense of what it was, and couldn't make myself at first. Not because of you or anything. Just me. I've had a similar feeling of "not being myself" for the last year or so, and your content is usually a fun escape, so I was wary of listening to more serious talk from you. But I'm glad I did. Because you aren't obligated to be happy easy content for me or anyone. I enjoy these "glimpses behind the content" and how honest you are. As someone who has struggled more and more with depression over the years, I am a firm believe in taking care of yourself and not forcing a front of happiness for the sake of others-far too often that just hurts you.
So thanks, for being honest and upfront :') You have a huge backlog of content I can always binge when I need to chill (as someone who only subscribed a few years ago there's LOADS back there I haven't seen, lol), and I'm glad to hear you're feeling creative and wanting to branch out. I enjoy whatever you make, and just really admire what an honest and genuine person you are. Prayers for your health, and thanks for being out here, whenever you are, in whatever capacity best fits you. I love that you always work to be sincere, and it does come through.

I’ve been posting stuff filmed months and months ago but feel guilty not being able to be on camera. I can’t imagine how it must be for you with the whole world watching but I wish you the best Seán. Agreed, I think the platform should provide content creators an option to almost temporarily freeze the algorithm for their videos to give them a break for both mental and physical health purposes.

This resonates with me so much. I can’t speak for your health issues jack but personally I know that anxiety has manifested itself into a number of things. Nausea, dizziness, insomnia, GI issues, etc. I know that the ssri may not have worked but it may also be that it wasn’t the right one. I have tried them and they didn’t work for me but they have worked for people I know like my mother and aunt. Give yourself time, take time for yourself and your loved ones and if you’re brave enough you can try them again. If not that’s also ok. You’re not alone
