Perhaps that's why bears don't interact with each other in the wild; separating themselves. It's all about resources, breeding rights, and territory. They're just not social animals like wolves and lions. You'd think part of their nature would diffuse with abundant food sources, but it's the other environmental influences that trigger instinct that don't go away in a closed environment.
