I love the twist you guys put on tiki classics using your syrups. Your version of the Jungle Bird using your pineapple gum is currently my favorite variant!
One thing I love about your channel is that you don’t constantly push your syrups, but advertise them in more subtle ways. Comes across as authentic and genuine. Got your orgeat and passion fruit syrups and a 17oz Demerara gum syrup is on the way!
I absolutely love the Mai Tai recipe, the same way I like to make it at home. For the sweet component, many recipes include simple or demerara syrup in place of some of the orgeat. One of the things that makes this cocktail classic is the orgeat, so I like a full 3/4 oz and aloow this to be the sweetening ingredient, not 1/4 oz orgeat and 1/2 oz demerara (or vice versa). Give me that strong but balanced almond flavor!
My God man you brought back memories when I young . Living on the east coast NJ we had the Oriental Lau in Old Tappan and a few others I loved the Headhunter my God we would get messed up on those ps the drinking age was 19 LOL.
There's a few of those I have to try but don't have some ingredients yet. I've gotten recipes elsewhere for a few of these cocktails and nuanced them for my tastes. I keep only 3 or 4 rums and they work for nearly everything I need JUNGLE BIRD 1 Appleton Estate 12 1 Plantation Original Dark 2 Pineapple Juice 3/4 Campari 3/4 Lime Juice 1/2 Turbinado Syrup (1 to 1) --------- PAINKILLER 2 Pusser's Gunpowder Proof 1 Pineapple Juice 1 Orange Juice 3/4 Creme of Coconut 3/4 Lemon Juice 5 drops Saline Dust with nutmeg (I just add 1/4 Mr Black to make it a Bahama Mama) --------- MAI TAI 1 Appleton Estate 12 1 Pusser's Gunpowder Proof 1/4 Grand Marnier 1/4 Clémont Créole Shrubb 3/4 Lime Juice 1/4 Orgeat (a different brand that's a bit more intense so it needs less and more overwhelms everything else... for me) Dash of Black Walnut Bitters 5 drops Saline Cheers

I appreciate your opinions and viewpoints, but there's absolutely no way that zombie beats a mai tai, the presence of absent alone and the division that that brings is enough to move it to second place.
Re the "Painkiller": The folks that got the trademark -- Pusser's -- apparently stole/reverse-engineered the recipe when the owner of the bar wouldn't give it to them, and essentially, in my opinion, are not nice people. Regardless of the quality of their product, I'd never make one using Pusser's. Just make it with another Rum you like and actually respect, and call it "not a Painkiller."
I couldn’t imagine how ridiculous it would be if “Margarita” was trademarked by Jose Cuervo. The Dark and Stormy is just a bs as Painkiller. These legal precedents need to be overturned! 🤬😑

What's the recipe on that?

The color of the zombie is off.
I think you were meant to use a different kind of blender for the cocktails… should be more like an agitator, not a purée
Title is wrong
Thank you!
