I used the usb. I knew it was there because i had a center jumpseat before i converted to a center console. To have it gone constant power, you'll need to move cigar fuse over one prong

There is an interior fusebox on the driver side, right below the steering column.

I should say, there is a fusebox on *most* 1500s that are 2019+, not all. I would check and see if you have one first, if not, then do the wire splice option.

Question, you went into the red wire on the plug towards the front of the truck, what color wire did you go into on the cigaret lighter? (sorry im not good at electrical but i assume the black wire?)

The red is the hot, and the black is the ground. He'd have connected to the red

Thank you! I am gonna go right out and buy the splicing clips now. All the others I have seen gave nowhere near the detailed instruction as you have here. And, this is my exact truck, with the fuse box under the hood. I now feel confident...famous last words😂
