The salted plum is really popular in parts of Asia as well. We normally suck on them during long car rides (or for long haul flights or boat rides), it helps with motion sickness. Sometimes put it in Chinese medicine or in Vietnam and Thailand they used for drinks. There are many variations...some more sweet...some more tangy....and some are more salty.
I think that they keep some of the packages dated looking is because we Americans love nostalgia! :) Those lunchable cookies with icing are like Dunkaroos which they made a while back here in the US, dunkaroos were amazing!!!
The Push-up Mexican candy comes in a variety of sizes.... including one the size of your hand. The Mexican Mango pour candy we (pre-corona) would sprinkle it in our hands and lick it off. The salty plums are so delicious. The best way to eat them is to place the plums in the center of an orange (sliced in half). They flavor the orange as you eat them. I place a few in my orange at once. Sweet and sour (salty) plums are my favorite!!!
Kate and Alex, I was reading an online article about the complaints people were making because the Hershey Christmas ad with Kisses ringing as bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, an American holiday favorite, had a drastic edit for 2020. I viewed the embedded commercial and what comes up Next? This very episode of This With Them! It was a great plug for you. Hope it brings in more viewers! Merry Christmas! EllenE
For lemonade I usually do a lemon up which is lemonade and sprite or 7 up, it’s sooo much better than flat lemonade and the soda doesn’t take away from the flavor of the lemonade!
🥄That was an awesome box Ruth sent you guys!! Haven’t even seen those massive Oreos! Wow! We all ate our pie for dessert tonight and watched. Perfect way to end an awesome day! Always thankful for you guys. Can’t wait to see another WTF throw down this weekend! ❤️❤️

I need to send you guys a box of nothing but oregon snacks/candies and drinks im born and raised in this state and i have had so many snacks made here that its so good!
Arnold Palmer drink has been around for decades before this branded version; Arizona Tea had to license his name to label in order to make it, and that was somewhat recent. the commonly requested drink is a staple in almost any American restaurant(managed a few and worked many), thanks to his favorite drink order combo while dining: tea and lemonade half and half. 60s I think. A good pour for a bartender or server for this drink is layered. Floating the tea ontop of the lemonade. Great summer drink.
Same with my 6 year old grandson and my daughter eat entire bags of those. I think they are so hot. As soon as they pulled the bag out I said they are going to die.
Kate and Alex. A suggestion... when you are having really really hot snacks, etc, have fresh orange wedges on hand to pop in your mouth. Kills the hot right away
Kate, what really helps when you eat something really hot is chocolate, there is something in the chocolate that cools down the heat on the toung. Hope that this tip will help
I am one who doesn't care for the Oreo filling, I always take the cookie apart and give the filling half to my husband, we do a trade off so I get his plain biscuit and he gets a double stuff! I wish you could just get the cookie part with no icing. I don't know if you have noticed, but American Oreos and Canadian Oreos taste different.
Kate, I got excited along with you opening the Ritz bits😂😂 I'm Canadian but I grew up bringing a mini pack of those to school lunches sometimes. And I still love them so much and buy the boxes of them as a 30 year old adult hahaha. I love both the cheese ones and peanut butter! 😄😄
Hi Kate and Alex. Do you like pecan pie.? Big thanksgiving desert in America . PRINGLES- They made a ROASTED TURKEY and GRAVY flavored pringles last holiday season. Can’t find them this year yet. Very interesting flavor. Btw bridge mix is named for the card game bridge. Snack Candies served by hosts for bridge club card game players. My favourite English candies are roundtree black currant fruit pastilles and Cadbury flakes!
Whoa 😯 how much bigger can a box get ? There getting bigger & bigger. That’s love 💕 and thoughtfulness from your subscribers 😊. Happy 😃 Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it. 🍾. This is 1 day I don’t need a snack while watching you both lol 😂. Amazing box ! And love your reactions. 👍💕

Robin, I'm from Indiana where the albanese factory is located! We stop every time we head to Chicago! It's late and i was having trouble sleeping. I'm catching up on this video and eating my favorite snack (which is salted cashew halves and pieces from Sam's Club and the Pineapple gummy bears mixed together in the lid.) The salty Cashews balance perfectly with the fruity sweet Pineapple!!!
Robin, they sell some of the flavors separately (and you can buy the separate flavors in 5lbs bags on amazon!) I use my food saver and vacuum pack half the bag so they stay fresh!
Living in Arizona- Sadalito’s or salted plums are very popular. Normally eaten stuffed into a half lemon. I have never liked them. Too salty and then adding a lemon🥴. 🥄 Epic box with so many good treats.
Can't express my joy when I get a notification that Alex & Kate have uploaded a new candy vlog!! Smashed it as usual, fabulous video from start to finish! I have no shame in being a total candy freak (as my family has nick-named me.......buggers the lot of them!) biggest hugs to you all my fellow candy & treat kindred spirits xx cheers
🌼 When l have needed an extra dessert to take to a party, l have dipped the Pecan Sandie halfway in milk chocolate 🍫. They seem to think l made all of it myself. We had a great Thanksgiving ! My mom also turned ninty today ! It was nice to have family who live in other states all called. Loved the BOX Ruth !! Blessings from California. 🦃🥧
regarding the thin oreos, it lets people imagine they are sticking to their diet by eating a skinnier cookie. Also there is a german chocolate cake with caramel coconut frosting, which is quite popular here.
I am so sorry it took me so long to respond. I have continued to enjoy your videos but have been so busy. I am so happy that you truly enjoyed the box. Your reactions were epic.
Wow the parmesan and roasted garlic Pringles are amazing. After having watched this yesterday I had to check my store I work in today to see if we had any in stock. I was so excited to see them in stock I had to buy two cans. Amazing that flavor is out of this world delicious. Now one can is almost all gone, so happy I bought two.
I’m Canadian & when I was little at recess in the winter I’d eat my fruit roll up outside, I loved doing this because it would shatter into pieces in the cold & then warm back up in my mouth. I wonder if anyone else out there did that 🤔😂
I've heard that at one time,Oreos, came up with an oreo straw and when you drank milk thru it,it was next level. I never heard of these until today! Bring them back Oreo company!
The Caramel Coconut is a popular cake in parts of the US that we usually call it German Chocolate cake where I’m from, and when I moved more South in American sometimes you find it made with pecans instead of coconut. My husband and my dad both pick it for their birthdays most years.
First aid for eating hot & spicy chilli peppers is extremely cold full cream milk. Even better to drink heavy cream. The milk fat coats the nerves of the tongue. Works to alleviate the pain.
That box was huge. I can't believe you made it all the way through. All of the items are delicious. I've tried the Little Debbie turtles and I think they're really good. Good video. Have a good week.
My hubby and I are still enjoying our monthly snack boxes from you guys! When I first started watching you I looked up who owns Walkers crisps out of curiosity. I already suspected it was owned by the same company that owns Lays and Fritos…PepsiCo! And it is! That’s why the logo looks identical to Lays except for the name! And I prefer the little cheese n cracker snack packs like the pretzel one you had there! I grew up eating them! And you’re right, they aren’t very healthy but they’re sooo good!
I finally got to watch the video. I was on a mini vacation. Had a great time. Lived the video. Watching people cook just relaxed me. I don't know why. Great video. Have a good one. See you again in 2 days.
I usually cut an orange in half and stick the salted plum in the center and press it in and let it hydrate. Then eat the orange and nibble on the salted plum
I think those salted plums are basically the same thing as li hing. Li hing mui is often consumed as a powder, like you had on some of the snacks in your Hawaii box, but we do eat them whole like this too. I like to eat them when I’m getting a sore throat. There are also versions that are sweeter or some that are saltier.
Enjoyed watching this! Everything looks delicious. A spoonful of sugar is for hiccups. Spicy food doesn’t seem spicy to me but other people think it is very spicy for them though but I am used to spicy food though. Gushers bring back childhood memories and fruit roll ups too. There are pecan turtles here too.
While Walker's is the best shortbread, my mother used to buy me Pecan Sandies to dunk in milk when I was unhappy or sick. They are a real comfort to me.
Welch's is a well known juice company in the US, but love the fruit snacks you need to try the tropical mix. My favorite fruit snacks are the black forest juice filled ones like gushers but less artificial. Zachary's you might recognize from US Easter candy, that was what I immediately thought of, not the best chocolate, but any bridge mix is going to be good they are always a mix of chocolates.
Oh yes I forget it’s a juice too! Those tropical ones sound amazing. Mmm yum!! I love Black Forest gummy bears so I feel like I would love them! Oh yes!! Now I remember.
I think the caramel coconut Oreos are a rif on American German chocolate cake caramel coconut frosting. German chocolate cake, named for the brand of baking chocolate, not the nation, is my favorite cake, so It’ll have to try them. I suspect the cookie is too chocolate, though. You need a mild chocolate (cake) flavor to complement the frosting, or it gets out of balance and tastes bad. That might be the case here.
Happy late thanksgiving alax and kate I love watching these videos I hope to try your candy one day keep on making awesome videos I could watch you all day
Kate, save those Peanut butter Ritz sandwich crackers, they make great Christmas treats when dunked in milk chocolate candy coating. Not sure how cheese would work with the white chocolate candy coating/ almond bark.
I was screaming at you both to warn you about the flaming hot dill pickle chips 😱! I’m from Texas and have eaten spicy all my life but even I can’t do the flaming hot chips. But it you use the bean dip with it helps.
Hi Kate and Alex, First Happy Thanksgiving to all your U.S. followers! This was an amazing box with great treats. I love chips/crisps. My favorite are Frito Chili Cheese Corn Chips and Sea Salt Popables! I also love the Welch's Fruit Snacks.
I never heard of Zachary before. The box does not look familiar. I love Yoo-hoo! It has corn syrup in it, but I still want it every once in a while. Yes, Arnold Palmer is a golfer. It is by Arizona tea. I drink it sometimes. They now have a spiked version in the beer isle. The half & half tea and lemonade only comes in lite & diet. I have no clue why Arizona tea made it that way. Arizona teas are very popular because they are cheaper and have many varieties. At the Von’s supermarket I work at, sometimes we have a big sale on them on our $5 Fridays. The shelves would be emptied out with customers buying massive amounts of them. They come in cans and the plastic bottles.
If I am not mistaken ...you cut an orange in half and place the salted plum in the middle and enjoy that way. (Basically suck on the candy in the middle while biting into your orange)
Also I just talked to my mom and she said that the salted plum, you are supposed to put them in the middle of an orange so it adds some flavor (we really like mixing chili type flavors with fruit). Oh and apparently those orange wheels are supposed to be cooked like pasta... I never knew that either so I learned a bit about my own culture!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of our US friends ❤️❤️Hope you're having a wonderful day and eating lots of delicious food!

I have no shame in being a total candy freak (as my family has nick-named me.......buggers the lot of them!) biggest hugs to you all my fellow candy & treat kindred spirits xx cheers
Yaaaay! Thank you so much 😀♥️ haha no shame at all! We are too 😂 they can’t join our club 🥰 big hugs to you too! Xx
Put the Welch’s in the fridge they taste even better :)
Lol I'm so glad someone else gets so excited about tiny things! 😂
Hehe definitely me too 😂
when alex “yelled” at the kid outside to put their pants back on, i felt that. my 5yr old hates clothes 😂😂😂
This is my first video I have watched of yall and I subscribed
regarding the thin oreos, it lets people imagine they are sticking to their diet by eating a skinnier cookie.
Yaaaaay!! So glad you managed to find them and loved them!! They have so much flavour don’t they!! Couldn’t believe it!! 😱
I’m Canadian & when I was little at recess in the winter I’d eat my fruit roll up outside, I loved doing this because it would shatter into pieces in the cold & then warm back up in my mouth. I wonder if anyone else out there did that 🤔😂
“ you can’t just search nips!” 😂 so funny. I just love you two. Best food tasting show.
I've heard that at one time,Oreos, came up with an oreo straw and when you drank milk thru it,it was next level. I never heard of these until today! Bring them back Oreo company!
🥄What a wonderful box! I love the thin oreos by themselves and the regular and stuffed ones dunked and soaked in milk 🥛.
the cheese ritz bits are my absolute favorite snack in the world
Try lining a glass with the pelon and Lucas mango salt. Works well with a margarita regular or mango
Hi Alex and Kate! We eat the chili cheese Fritos with chili instead of crackers. Yum!
Great shout
The Caramel Coconut is a popular cake in parts of the US that we usually call it German Chocolate cake where I’m from, and when I moved more South in American sometimes you find it made with pecans instead of coconut. My husband and my dad both pick it for their birthdays most years.
Awesome!! I wonder why it gets that name!
I know neither can we😂 thank you Brandon. Have a great well good
Try cutting an orange in half and sticking the salted plum inside of it! Then as you eat the orange, you get a salty hint. 😊
Super enjoyable episode. You two put a smile on my face! Have a Merry Christmas, Kate and Alex
Welch’s fruit snacks are my favorite. They have a Tropical box. My favorite ones.
Yum they sound amazing
I finally got to watch the video. I was on a mini vacation. Had a great time. Lived the video. Watching people cook just relaxed me. I don't know why. Great video. Have a good one. See you again in 2 days.
OMG this is basically a This With Them feature film! And I'm not complaining!
It really is 😂😂😂 glad you’re happy about it though!
Thanks Amy! So glad you did!! Glad we could bring back some memories for you 🥰
@@ThisWithThem You are welcome and yes a lot of these reminded me of my childhood since I ate a lot of these when I was little.
Wow! There are things in this box that I've never tried. Been wanting to try those poppables.
No way 😀 love when we get to try new items! You’ll have to try find them!
Happy Thanksgiving! Love you guys!
Happy thanksgiving to you too 💕 lots of love to you!
@@ThisWithThem yayyyyyy thank you so much for replying back to me! I am such a huge fan of yours! ❤️❤️😁😁🥳🥳
Alex’s comment when the birthday cake Kit Kat was taken out of the box is hilarious 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Amazing breakout by Alex into the Southern accent. I was looking away from the screen and honestly thought you had a guest. LOL
Happy late thanksgiving alax and kate I love watching these videos I hope to try your candy one day keep on making awesome videos I could watch you all day
Here in South Africa as kids we used put those salty plums in a lemon and suck the juice out.The sour and salty went well together.
The Arizona half and half lemonade/tea you can get in Tesco (bigger stores) in the UK, just not in a bottle like this
Kate, save those Peanut butter Ritz sandwich crackers, they make great Christmas treats when dunked in milk chocolate candy coating. Not sure how cheese would work with the white chocolate candy coating/ almond bark.
Mmm yum! Good shout
I was screaming at you both to warn you about the flaming hot dill pickle chips 😱! I’m from Texas and have eaten spicy all my life but even I can’t do the flaming hot chips. But it you use the bean dip with it helps.
They’re sooooo hot 🥵 couldn’t believe it 😂😂
Hi Kate and Alex, First Happy Thanksgiving to all your U.S. followers! This was an amazing box with great treats. I love chips/crisps. My favorite are Frito Chili Cheese Corn Chips and Sea Salt Popables! I also love the Welch's Fruit Snacks.
Happy thanksgiving to you too. So amazing wasn’t it! Good choices there 👌🏻
I never heard of Zachary before.
Interesting. They were good though 😀 that’s awesome they have a version in the beer isle! Yes!! We loved getting the big cans. They were massive
Never had the Sea Salt and Vinegar Popables but the Sea Salt ones are the best I've had.
So delicious 😋
If I am not mistaken ...you cut an orange in half and place the salted plum in the middle and enjoy that way. (Basically suck on the candy in the middle while biting into your orange)
Watching you eat the spicy things is so funny. We are so used to it children eat spicy food like these without a reaction. Lol
How interesting. We will have to try with an orange!!
Thank you for letting us know. That’s so cool. Glad you got to learn something too 🥰🥰
when kate laughed at the joke on the swedish fish box HAHHAHAHA ❤️
