Hello, i am new here and i grew up and live in Switzerland. I love that video. I want to add something about the languages in Switzerland. The german part in Switzerland don‘t speak the normal german, which is known in Germany. Every different Kanton has there own dialect. So the Germans normally don‘t understand our dialect. And also as a Swiss Person, we have sometimes problems to understand each other, because every dialect has his own words 😊
Why you say that germany speaks all the same without dialect? In germany germans don't understand germans, if they speak their local dialects. So it's exactly the same.
@@nichderjeniche Swiss German is grammatically distinct from German. For example we only have two verb tenses. You can't really call it German with different dialects as that is just simply incorrect. All the town names here have been German-ified because of policy choices and (almost) none of them were pronounced the way they are written down. Some have been changed to the point that many people nowadays don't remember how they were originally pronounced. It was a political choice to associate our language more closely with German even when linguistically speaking it is different enough to warrant being it's own language. It is most definitely a germanic language and big parts of our vocabulary overlaps but it is not the same language.
@@martinajana8069 did you even read what I wrote? Nobody speaks normal german in some swabian, frisian or bavarian areas etc. and they can't understand each other as well. So where's the difference?

Whenever you come to Switzerland, please go to the city of Fribourg and try the TRUE fondue in the “Café du Midi”. You’ll know then what a real fondue tastes like 😍😍
I love it how they are soooo amazed by all the food, because i eat those things everyday I think i have learned to appreciate our swiss food more Thanks for the great video
Rivella is made out of a waste product from producing cheese, in german is called Molke. Its perfectly refreshing and there are 4 or 5 different tastes, but the red one is the iconic one ;)
I'm from the French part of Switzerland and there are some of these products that I've never heard of. I would typically have added the iconic Ice Tea from Migros and of course Cenovis (similar to Marmite in UK but in better of course ;P) Rivella is the drink we love to drink when skiing typically. Yeah, I tried it when I was there. When I was told it was partly made of milk I was put off! 😂

I, as a swiss lady😉, didn't know, to hit the Willisauerringli with my elbow...shame on me!🙈😂 Leandra you did it so well!!!👏
19:02 the pronunciation of Vacherin Fribourgeois killed me, so cute.
If I hadn't already known what she was trying to pronounce? No way, wouldn't have understood her.
That's why we called Sweetszerland. The only Country who produce the Best Chocolate in the World!
I loved your video and enjoyed it so much (a swiss viewer🇨🇭) Leandras effort to make this box and write down everything carefully, is just incredible. And this box must have been really expensive too... the Zweifel Crisps alone cost me around 4-5$ here. She really putted a lot of expensive treats inside.
And also as a Swiss Person, we have sometimes problems to understand each other, because every dialect has his own words 😊
and in every Cantone there aredifferent dialects for different towns or regions
Why you say that germany speaks all the same without dialect? In germany germans don't understand germans, if they speak their local dialects. So it's exactly the same.
@@nichderjeniche but in Switzerland noone speaks german, we speak Swiss German, so thats pretty different 😊
As a Swiss-Italian from Ticino I just loved how you prounanced "Canton Ticino" and "Riva San Vitale" (actually the last one was pretty accurate). Love it
only things missing were „basler läckerli“ and „nidle chueche“ 🇨🇭😍
Oh he did it, chips + Rivella. This does actually work so damn well!
I’m so ready for the long videos, love them! Also hope your both doing well! Have an amazing weekend. And your channel is truly the best brings so much joy and happiness thank you
Yaaay so happy to hear this. We are doing well thank you. Hope you are too! This is so so lovely to hear 🥰 thank you!
I feel sorry for the rest of the world, but swiss candy is by far the best!😂
Mir sind soo verwöhnt...
I've lived in Switzerland for ten years, but I still learned a bunch from this video! Will definitely try some of these snacks next time I'm shopping!
Im swiss and grew up there. Moved to England 4 years ago. All these products bringing me back my childhood memories! I can taste it through your video. Thank you x love your video!
Interesting fact about Ragusa:
Ragusa was invented during the 2nd World War. Because chocolate was rare during that time they created a bar almost entirely with hazelnut and only little chocolate on the outside.
I really liked your video!

Rivella is a soft drink from Switzerland, created by Robert Barth in 1952, which is produced from milk whey, and therefore includes ingredients such as lactose, lactic acid and minerals
Whenever you come to Switzerland, please go to the city of Fribourg and try the TRUE fondue in the “Café du Midi”. You’ll know then what a real fondue tastes like 😍😍
Première sortie à l’ouverture 😍
Yes, enfin des romands dans ces comms, et des fribourgeois en plus tetcheu c'est beau.
personal opinion about Lindor balls: they are best when you put them in the fridge :)
Same!
Oh hell yes
I miss the milk chocolate mint ones they used to make. At least in California they don’t have them anymore. 🌷
Oooohhh noooooooo. I love them the most when they are soft. When they melt immediately in your mouth.
rivella: if they only knew that it's basically lactic acid🤣 the company once tried to enter Asian market - wasn't a good idea....
Decent box, but... like many people said it’s missing the Migros Ice Tea.
Oh god yes the Migros Ice tea is the best ice tea ever made.
I'm an addicted to the Green Thé/Mint by Naturaplan from Coop.
Wo bliibt numme dä ice tee vor Migros?
das find ich au, dass das fehlt
As a Swiss I can confirm, these are all part of our delicious swiss candy palette.
I love it how they are soooo amazed by all the food, because i eat those things everyday
I think i have learned to appreciate our swiss food more
Thanks for the great video
Im from switzerland and its so interesting to see how you are reacting to these stuff
What ! You’ve never been to Switzerland you must go it’s amazing the whole time I was there I had to keep telling myself this is real 😍
It looks too beautiful to be real in the photos I’ve seen. Can’t wait to go one day!
I felt the same way, it was like looking at a postcard every way I looked. It just didn’t feel real.
Aslong as you don't live here, enjoy it! Living here is a challenge in itself... Way to expensive sadly.
Rivella is made out of a waste product from producing cheese, in german is called Molke. Its perfectly refreshing and there are 4 or 5 different tastes, but the red one is the iconic one ;)
I'm from the French part of Switzerland and there are some of these products that I've never heard of.
I would typically have added the iconic Ice Tea from Migros and of course Cenovis (similar to Marmite in UK but in better of course ;P)
Rivella is the drink we love to drink when skiing typically.
Great video !
Cheers from Switzerland !
I'm Happy you liked it.
Thanks to Leandra, it's great too see other countrys taste our classics.
Thanks to you two aswell to be so kind, and give sometime 20/10 ^^
Salut !
Hi guys! Great video, I live in Geneva Switzerland (The French speaking region). I’m obsessed with the rivella LIGHT! It has a blue logo instead of the red.
It is said that Einstein developed his theory of relativity within 43 minutes.
I am watching two Brits eating and drinking stuff I've already been surrounded with my whole life in that time. Take that Albert!
Foreign People: sending them a brick with some vinegar and salt.
Britisch people: "Excellent, fabulous and just exquisite I would dare to say."
I'm so happy all of that stuff is stupidly expensive in Switzerland... otherwise we'd all be obese.
This is the truth!
@@marianna3253 it is kind of fair though considering how much more you get paid
@@rabbgod5219 Who's "you"?
@@rabbgod5219 speak for yourself. Switzerland actually has a really high risk of falling into poverty compared to other "rich" European countries. And children are especially frequently affected.
