I completely understand and agree with everything you said, I also try to take as few prescription medications/hormones as possible. I would encourage you not to give up on using vaginal estradiol. It may be the type of medication isn’t working for you or the way you are using it is throwing things off. There’s so much data that shows benefits of using it. I was taken off climara pro patch two years ago after I had some bleeding in the first few months. I later found out that is common not only with any hrt but also with the form of progesterone in climara pro. I was given a different estradiol patch and oral progesterone by another physician and have had wonderful results. I’m saddened to think I missed out on hrt for a couple of years because my first Gynecologist didn’t know any better. I have also started using a vaginal estradiol cream and am happy with it so far. Don’t give up, advocate for yourself because these docs know very little when it comes to menopause. My pharmacist friend has told me to give hormones at least a few months to see changes and to let things “settle in”. Also she was adamant that I always take them as directed or you will not receive the full benefits or cause trouble unknowingly. After hearing your issues I’ll take her advice. Best of luck to you!
Thank you so much for your comment and advice. I go back in to have a vaginal ultrasound soon to see what could be causing my spotting. I will be back to update afterward.
Thank you for sharing. I have been on it for close to 5 weeks. Everyday first 2 weeks now twice a week. I love it. I feel so much better. I am 53..almost menopausal as about 7 months since period. During my research I heard a female Dr. somewhere (maybe youtube)say...it's not that long ago our life span was 47 yrs old. Of course shits gonna atrophy past that lol. Thankfully we have stuff help alleviate symptoms of aging past what was before 👏 8:17
I absolutely agree. Back many years ago doctors put women on oral Premarin. But then the 2002 WHI study came out that scared the hell out of so many women (I did do a video on that if you haven't heard a lot about it). Then another study came out that said, "Ha ha, we were just kidding. It really isn't as bad as we initially thought". It's definitely been a rollercoaster ride of waiting and seeing, hoping and praying. Good luck and I hope you will keep me updated. I appreciate your support very much!
Vagifem 2x a week after the initial 2 week loading dose. You really can't stop for a long period of time otherwise your symptoms will come back. This is something you manage.
My doctor told me it was okay to try and go down to once a week and see if I still received the same benefits as I did using twice a week. And for the most part, it has been the same. The main symptom I had, being the intense burning in my vagina, has not come back, which is the main symptom I am concerned about. So as long as that stays away, I am good with using only once a week. Obviously every women is different and every women should do what is best for them, as what works for me might not work for you and visa versa. Thank you so much for your support and input. It is very much appreciated!
I feel like every doctor has their own opinion, which makes it very difficult for us to know what to do. My gynecologist said Vagifem is better only because it is a controlled amount, whereas the cream is not. However, it could be that the cream works better for some women. I feel like we just all need to do our research, ask questions, stay proactive, and do what works best for us as individuals. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope the cream continues to help!
@@lovelocked5385 Replens did nothing for me just a moisturizer like all the oils helps at first a tad then returns to way it was. Estrogen is the way to go.
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I would be curious to see if there are specific estrogen types that the doctor could have you tested for, also to see what your progesterone and testosterone levels are. I am thinking about getting on HRT and I am doing research - my appointment with a menopause doctor is not until November 2nd. I did try over the counter progesterone cream several times, and it would cause my hair to fall out faster - just an fyi. I wonder if there is a different type of estrogen that you can try for yourself that may not cause these symptoms? God bless you.
I believe the only estrogen that a blood test will test for is estradiol. My testosterone levels were also tested and came back within the normal range as well. But again, that was before I was diagnosed with Vaginal Atrophy so I will be curious what they are at now that I have been on Vagifem for six months. I did a video on how soy can help raise your estrogen levels, but I'm just not sure if I would be willing to eat enough of those products to get my estrogen up to where it needs to be. As I said in this update video, I think I am just going to take this one day at a time and see where it leads me. Thank you so so much for your support and for your input. I appreciate it very much! Please keep me updated once you've gone for your appointment. It's always nice to hear what works for other women as well.
Are you on high quality supplements such as Magnesium bisglycinate and Vit B complex? Are you taking enough VitD3 all year round? Have you ever taken Indian Ginseng powder? Hows your diet in general? These are questions you need to ask yourself. No woman should have breast tenderness unless they're pregnant and breastfeeding. Your lacking crucial minerals in your diet. You combine high quality supplements with the vagifem
I will definitely look into all of those. I do have an annual physical with bloodwork, taken to look at my different vitamin levels, such as D and magnesium and usually they are right where they should be. But thank you so much for all of that helpful information. I will definitely be looking into it.
Thank you for the update.

The urologist said that the cream is better than vagifem.

Any good side effects?
You need an uptake of Omega 3 and vitamin E and VitK2.
Ya but it isn't estrogen. I take all that and as I turned 50 I'm going to try replens moisturizer. Hope that helps.
