I just started on vaginal estradiol two weeks ago. So far it’s helping. I know it’s early days. It’s interesting that you experience some breast tenderness as I do as well. I found it a little concerning at first glad that you are experiencing the Relief, you deserve!
Thank you for this, having just been diagnosed and just about to start this course of treatment, it is nice to not feel alone. A shocking statistic I found was that 50% of post menopausal women over 50 experiencing these symptoms just think it is what naturally happens to us and do not realize that there is help and treatment available. People like you are helping to bring this message across. ❤🇨🇦🇬🇧
I read that as well, and also a lot of women who have the option to use this treatment but don't because they are afraid of the side effects, which I totally understand. I hope you are able to get some relief. Thank you so much for the feedback!
I have been suffering with all the symptoms for 5 years now and the gynaes just say its a uti and prescribe meds that don't work. Another doctor kept saying I should use anti fungal creams which don't work either because its not the problem. I have pretty much diagnosed myself thanks to these videos on yt. I can't wait to start treatment.
Thank you for sharing….isn’t this fun 🤦🏼♀️. I started HRT 3 months ago and feel like I have my life back. To say it’s a game changer would be an egregious understatement!
Yes, you are correct. It can be a little confusing. I have mentioned that in updated videos just to clarify. But thank you so much for letting everyone know. Your input is very much appreciated.
So glad I came across your 3 month update. I started estradiol 10 mcg a little over 2 weeks ago. So just completed the 14 day loading dose. I am still getting some burning. Glad to hear that it took you about 2 months for the burning to go away. That gives me hope.
Hi , so glad you are better. I am starting tonight. did you experience any hair loss? I see reviews of Vagifem causing hair loss. It just turned me off completely. I was wondering if it would do the opposite. Who wants to lose hair? Anyways thanks for your responsebin advance!
I was worried about that as well but in my case, I did not lose any hair. The only side effect I noticed was some breast tenderness. But now being on it for several months, I no longer feel that breast tenderness.
I recently started on generic Estrace (vaginal estradiol) along with estradiol patch and progesterone pill and testosterone compounded cream. For the last couple of years my already fine hair has thinned but since I started HRT a few months ago I’ve had tons of baby hair pop up all over! It’s now sticking up because it’s gotten stronger and fuller, I can’t wait until it gets longer. I suppose it would depend on the reason for your hair loss. I will say that I’ve been using some minoxidil 5% foam and red light but I’ve been doing that for a few years and never had these results so I’m assuming the HRT was the missing link.
I've been given this vagifem for several months after having very bad problems after a total hysterectomy, I now have a prolapse bladder due to the hysterectomy, I've been given a bladder ring to help me hold my bladder up, but I'm still having pain 😢 🇬🇧
Hi . Iv had a burning red vulva for more than 3 years. Iv been given steroid which burns me more & my inner thighs. I seen a gynaecologist and a dermatologist & my doctor but they say there’s nothing wrong with me . I’m suffering all day , every day . Please please help me . I’m going crazy , I’m a 75 year old . Please please reply me . I’m begging you . X
Through a vaginal exam your doctor should be able to see what is going on. Have they done an ultrasound or anything like that? You can always go to ER if you aren't getting the help that you feel you should be. I'm sorry you are suffering in pain. I know how hard that is. Good luck and please keep me updated.
I just picked this up today and the more I read the more afraid I became. I have never had a bladder infection nor children. There are warnings on every medication., thats just how it is.
Is Premarin Vaginal cream still available in the US? I live in the Caribbean and it has been out of stock for 1 year now. Substitute is ortro gyneadron which is taking longer to work. Any reviews on ortro gyneadron
As far as I am aware, Premarin Vaginal cream is still available in the US. I didn't see much info on ortro gyneadron, other than it is used to prevent pregnancy, but it looks like it as of July 11, 2023, it was discontinued on the US.
I’m guessing you are also taking normal HRT with the vaginal estrogen as a topical? I use Premarin twice weekly and do 2MG estrodile/200MG progesterone/.75GM testosterone
I use the Vagifem 10 mcg tablets that come preinserted into a disposable applicator. So far it has worked perfectly. I have not tried any of the creams as of yet.
What doctor gives you the vagifem? Your gynicologist? I'm on premarin and would love to drop that and try vagifem. It seems tough that only few doctors put women on hormones.
You are sooo lucky to be able to get testosterone in the USA. Our NHS won't give it to women, & it is a massive must for menopausal women. We can get it privately, but not everyone can afford those private bills!
I'm not sure that I would say Vagifem is safer to use than Premarin, but rather I would note that the main difference between the two is that Vagifem is a tablet that comes preloaded into a disposable applicator, so the dosage is controlled within that tablet. Whereas Premarin is a cream that you would load into the adapter yourself, therefore the amount might change depending on how much you put in there. And the problem with that is that too much estrogen can raise your chances of getting things like breast cancer and endometrial cancer. I did do a video discussing this exact subject, titled "Differences between rings, creams, and tablets", if you'd like to check that out. I do not have any experience with DHEA creams but I am definitely going to look more into it.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Vagifem. One clarification: the tablets are 10 mcg not 10 mg.
Yes, you are correct. It can be a little confusing. I have mentioned that in updated videos just to clarify. But thank you so much for letting everyone know. Your input is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

@@pralinechocolates1 I agree. Plus everyone responds differently to medication.

So helpful I’m a week in & was getting impatient also wondering is this my life now but now I feel hopeful 😊

It's in a light purple box
I appreciate all your help!
I tried to upload a picture of it but it wouldn't let me. But it's a white box and simply reads "Estradiol Vaginal Inserts USP"@@Dianedee-h6z
Does vagifem contain estrogen?
Yes. It is supposed to be an ultra low-dose, but it does contain estrogen, more specifically estradiol
@@thatmiddleagedlady3859 Thanks!
What about sexual intercourse
When on the treatment?
@@thatmiddleagedlady3859 Are finding intercoarse still painful
