    I just want to thank you Jill! Your advice has given me such relief and has saved numerous calls/emails to the doctor. I actually told my gyno what I needed (estrogen cream) and they were fine with it.
    I have a few friends who are suffering w/IC like symptoms but are determined to "power" through menopause w/o topical estrogen cream. Menopause doesn't end so I can't imagine it is going to get better. I'm not sure how women make it to old age w.o. it. Living with untreated IC is not a life worth living so I will take the minute risk of estrogen cream.

    Jill, I had the pleasure of speaking with you a few weeks ago. The process you described is exactly what happened to me. It took me 15 years of frustration to then talk to you and figure this out. Thank you so much for taking the time and care to talk to me :) The Estrogen has been the key.

    Jill, your ability to articulate & teach a concept regarding IC problem is outstanding. I don’t have I see, but I am researching it for a friend of mine who is not very good on the computer and you have helped so much with your videos… I now have real real hope for her because of you. God bless you.

    You can also ask for it to be compounded without the alcohol base

    Just found your station. I am 53 and had a hysterectomy a year ago. I was just diagnosed with chronic cystitis. Doctor prescribed Estradiol Vaginal Cream. I used it for 5 days and had so much burning and itching. I quit because I have been so uncomfortable. Would you suggest I give it longer? Have been on antibiotics for 3 months. See the urologist again this Thursday. I appreciate your station. This is such a bummer! Thanks!!!

      That happened to me too, the itching. I just use half of recommended dosage.. less itch.

    • @icnjill
      @icnjill  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you've had a total hysterectomy that has taken your ovaries, you are now in estrogen atrophy which means your skin is dry. It's normal for estrogen cream to irritate at first.... and it usually takes about two weeks for the skin to heal and reduce the itching. It should go away within a month. The only qualifier is that if the cream base has preservatives or alcohol it in, it could cause more burning. This is why using a compounded preservative free estrogen cream is a favorite for many of us.

    Jill, I so appreciate you! I just have one question. How do you apply a pea size drop of estrogen cream to the urethra? It’s not a big enough opening ! 🤔 Thank you! 🙏🏼

    I just found out I have low estrogen! And I’m 24! My period also disappeared. Going to try HRT.

    This is me. I had to figure this out for myself. Countless specialists didn't realize that my bladder pain was actually connected to menopause. Now on HRT, my bladder pain has disappeared.

    Hi there thank you for your video. Have you heard of the reverse problem? I am 48 and recently started a low dose estradiol patch and for the last month since I started it I've had 2 bad IC flare UPS where it was dormant for 7 years. Any insight on this would be helpful 🙂 🙏

    Ah thank you so very much! Symptoms started in my early 40’s straight after having baby then my first ever uti. Never been right since.. i have purchased Vmagic and estriol cream for urethra burn. L.gasseri was found in my urine which explains OAB, am now taking L.acidophilus to counter act it. Oh the joys!!

    Any idea why any estrogen (pills or cream) causes my symptoms to get worse (MUCH worse)? Birth control pills/depo shot (any and all I tried) when I was younger started my symptoms. This isn't just a burning when the cream is applied, I'll stop it and I'm still in pain a week later.

      I got a UTI one month ago (I am not prone) and ever since I seem to have urgency issues. I just started the estrogen cream. My dose is 2x a week so I’ve only taken one dose. I’m PRAYING it helps. I’m so glad to hear yours is helping.

    Do you just the cream or do you also use estrogen pill too

  • @andrearail

    I’m using vaginal Estriol compounded.I’m in Mexico now and can only get the estradiol transdermal here. Should I use that as better than nothing? The v magic and olive oil don’t plump up the tissue as does estrogen. Thanks.

    • @icnjill
      @icnjill  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it depends upon your symptoms. Estriol is certainly helping and having a cream allows you to place it by your urethra, etc. etc. The transdermal is one step below oral medication as it's relying on your blood stream to distribute it. A topical cream is less risky.

    I dont have frequency, I dont have urgency, my infection were negative, CT scan result found nothing, but why I always have pain in my lower tummy??? And my urine has microscopic hematuria. No urologist diagnosed me with something so far! What it could be? Im frustrated Jill. Im male, 29

    • @Angelinathegirlyoudontknow
      @Angelinathegirlyoudontknow ปีที่แล้ว

      From what i know; you may have kidney issue, calcium deposits. OR you are eating high oxalate foods= calcium oxalate can cause hematuria.

    • @IlyasAdiyasa
      @IlyasAdiyasa ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Angelinathegirlyoudontknow my kidney test is they are good, urologist diagnosed me with prostatitis. If you think lack of calcium is the problem, do you think eat or drimk more calcium will give benefit to me?

    • @Angelinathegirlyoudontknow
      @Angelinathegirlyoudontknow ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IlyasAdiyasa def no! If you have received diagnosis, do what Dr suggests.. calcium deposits/ crystals are not good, they are caused by eating high oxalate foods like spinach.
