      No sir, not you. This is an excellent bike rack for fat tire bikes and you can easily put on one wheel at a time cutting the bike weight in half basically.

    👍Looks to be well-made, and much more user-friendly with the folding features, than the typical bike rack I have on the back of my truck for the grandsons bikes.
    Nice drone work in the intro also. 👍

      Thanks Chief. The Adventure Wifey is happy I got this rack and that's what matters.

    Well, I posted a comment here 11 mo ths ago, but was looking at this exact rack today. This morning I ord'd a Rad Rover eBike. I wouldn't the current rack I have with the typical arms to hang regular bikes on. Even though the Rad Rover slightly exceeds the limit of this rack, I'll only be carrying one of them, plus a regular bike. Should do the trick. 👍

      Chief, if you get this rack you will love it. Congrats of the Rad Rover. My e-bikes have been one of the best recreational purchases I've ever made. I was riding mine all over the island yesterday.

    Nice, informative, if I have a pick up, can I drop the tailgate after I remove bike?

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can, no problem. If you use the tilt feature you might be able to tilt the bike down and also drop the tailgate.

    The drone shot of the Adventure Van in the parking lot made it look like a toy van. Though you went all out and commissioned someone to make a model of it.
    Did I just give you an idea 💡 🤔

    Great video. I had a similar rack (not quite as full featured as yours) that worked well, but I sold it. I just bought a high-dollar Thule platform rack. Hopefully I like it. If not, I'm buying this one.

    Very nice, but is it "tactical" and/or rated for "overlanding"?

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it would work overlanding, I don't see a reason it wouldn't. It sits up pretty high from the back of a vehicle.

    Awesome! Been looking for one of these for my fat tire eBike. Just an update, with prices increasing on just about everything, the rack is listed at $424.19 on Amazon as of this writing. Still going to buy it tho.

    Woops!😂 That's pretty slick that they make them adjustable so it'll work with any size bike. Locks too. That's very handy and smart. Does anything come preassembled anymore? If the adventure wifey can do it, I might could too with my limited upper body strength. Maybe... 😜

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question. I think it will because the hooks that go over the crossbar of the bike will slide up and down and be adjustable. However, I don't know for sure.

    I have a Yakima very similar to this for my fat bike. I was watching one of the old videos and down in the comments it said I was getting a sticker from u. Funny, it never showed. I guess that's why I'm part of the 8

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I offered a sticker and you never took me up on it. I offered because I knew you would soon become a H8ful 8. Offer still stands. Drop me an email from my About Page. Even the River King runs his yak with an AO sticker.

    This bike rack states 60 pound limit per bike. The lectric (i have one) is listed at 64 pounds. Any issues with being beyond the weight recommendation?

  • @brokntoad
    @brokntoad 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not for RV use?? I wonder why? Does anyone have an RV rack for two bikes that they would recommend? BTW... Steve, I checked out your store and believe we could be brothers from different mothers.

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no idea why it wouldn't work on an RV. If it has a tow hitch, I can't see a reason it wouldn't work.

  • @videosmithlaguna

    We have two Rad Rovers which are the SUVs of EV bikes, Can this rack take the weight, like 75 pounds without the battery! Hollywood racks make one but its super pricey. Will put it on a new Jeep Cherokee.

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't exactly remember the weight rating. I think it was for just over 60lbs per bike. 75 might be pushing the rating. I've been hauling my 2 bikes a lot and I haven't had any issues. Love the rack.

  • @mountainsnmoore256

    Dude, I'm really digging that thing. I have just started getting into the biking scene, the touring and mountain biking... but not road biking, those guys that ride on the road are crazy. We have both always loved to ride, and now that the kids are grown, I am hoping to get into more adventurous riding. This rack looks great and looks like it would work for mountain & touring bikes, as well. Is that just a reflector, or does that actually plug in and light up?
    Once again, I think that you could've stretched it out to that magical 17 minute mark with some slow motion shots!
    Btw, I caught those drone "follow me" shots at the beginning. Pretty slick!

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This dude don't road bike, never. I mostly ride this bike so far in a coastal community and on the beach where it's fairly safe. The reflector is just a reflector. I'm hoping to take it to the mountains and do some riding on forest roads. I seriously was on the verge of going Pro-TH-camr and almost added some clips from cat videos. I upgraded to the Mavic 2 Air and this was my first attempt at follow me. It worked great.

    • @mountainsnmoore256
      @mountainsnmoore256 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adventure Outdoors Yeah. I don’t do roads, except the ones in my neighborhood. I have a two mile lap that I am riding several times per day to get into shape. You and your wife need to go to Cades Cove on a Wednesday. The loop road is closed to cars on Wednesdays through September ( I think, but double check that..). I went with a buddy a couple of weeks ago and had a blast. Been trying to get back, ever since. It is an 11 mile loop.
      The drone cottage was sick. I’m digging it!
      Riding in the mountains??? I went today. I had a GREAT time for 7-3/4 miles of the 8 miles that we rode. Go check out the video on my channel. It is titled “Over the Bars”.... You’ll get a kick out of it. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

    • @myadventureoutdoors

      The Cades Cove trip might be something I need to schedule. I saw your wreck. I did a full body shake and quiver when I saw it. Hope you are ok.

      Adventure Outdoors Thanks. Yeah, I am fine. Just really battered and bruised. I just got too cocky and thought that I could take on that man-made obstacle. Then I chickened out when I realized that I had too much speed to take it from the direction that I was going...but it was too late. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

    Hello. Question. I have a similar dodge van with a spare tire mounted to back door. Wondering if I would have enough space between hitch-rack, and spare tire for two bikes?
    Thanks for sharing

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be real "iffy" if it would work ok with tire. Might not be enough space. However, you can buy hitch extenders from places like Harbor Freight and I'm confident it would work fine. This is a great rack and I'm sure the extender would work if you needed it.
