Intel GPUs will be scalped to their mining value. So I expect them to reach Nvidia levels or worse. AMD's use of infinity cache + narrower memory bus makes them less capable at mining and it's clearly reflected in current retail pricing. Intel is bringing out a purebred compute architecture (like everything else Raja K ever designed) because they ultimately want data center accelerators (read: real money!) to match Nvidia and AMD's CDNA offerings. The thing just is that Intel ARC is going to be on TSMC N6, so even more energy efficient than AMD and every bit as mining capable as Nvidia... there's no way these aren't going to get scooped up by miners by the bucket loads. And retail prices will reflect that in short order...

You can't stop greed. It's innate in people and probably motivates the human race more than anything else outside of fear. People only learn their lesson when their greed eventually gets them punished to the extreme. This 2060 is actually indirectly good for gamers in the long run. Gamers don't want it but miners do, and it enables the increase in supply of crypto which will eventually effect the price of crypto. The greater the supply of crypto currency, the less money people are willing to pay for it until it eventually crashes. Also, miners probably think this card can be resold to gamers if the market crashes, and it can to a certain extent. But cards like this will end up on the bottom of resell-ability for gaming.

If these companies cared about getting cards to people there would be a backorder, a list, a something that lets you buy the GPU NOW, and receive it at a later date. Not a single one of them is offering this. Every queue is disabled. They won't even let us buy the GPU's and show up in person with ID and proof of purchase. They do not care who gets the cards, bots or scalpers, as long as they get their money. There is no shortage, they just don't care where the cards go, so they get bought up in bulk in sit in miners/scalpers inventory, or they go to the TH-camrs/reviewers, OR, they go to a pallet in a warehouse and sit there for months, Or they go to a prebuilt manufacturer.
What's even worse is if you DO have to buy one of these GPU's, like yours is dead in the water and you need something now, you are basically paying for someone else's table scraps, at a 80% inflated price. So many people are buying "NEW" Gpus off of newegg and receiving already opened products, and can you just return it and wait for a real new one? Nope. And if you receive one that's DOA, you don't get a new one, you have to send it back via RMA and have it fixed, so you just paid an 80% premium for a refurbished card that you bought new....
As long as there is no control or regulation over these companies and who/how they sell their cards, they will continue to fuck us all over making the most money they ever have, with nothing the average little guy can do about it besides "Bite the bullet".
