I like Murphy as a tactical option too. The headed chance that Gordon missed today was a great example of the use of that type of player. You want players of different profiles and styles so having that natural right footed will always be useful for me. Some fans slate him but he was good last year and created a decent amount of assists, yes he needs more chances to score than most but he gets into good positions and his pace, movement and hard work gets him those chances.
@@DavidSelwyin-z3k True, Gordon does not use his left as much. Same problem with Isak. But then again if both can make their right feet as deadly as Arjen Robben made his left foot there will be no problems.

He has 41 goals in 67 appearances. What more can you ask of your striker? If NUFC played like they did in the last 2 games, i swear Isak would be near 20 goals by now. No one has mentioned this but there was one time today when he played an incredible pass from deep to find a runner, Murphy which led to a dangerous attack and he sprinted t60 yards to get in the box and nearly got on the end of it. Murphy stepped up because of the Norwich connection. It needs to be driven home to him that he's shown a level and now has to do that every game even if you're not away at your old clubs fierce rivals!!
Isak is the best all round Cf in the World....said it for a while....got everything...and scores all types of goals..remember that almost assist at Everton...not many players can do that...class..Bruno me all time favourite player....an am 55..it used to be Lee Jigsaw Clark.......that volley pass...Jesus..class...Tonali though...we need to keep him an play him at CDM...he is smooth as a bar of Galaxy.....aye Murphy havein a Miggy purple patch an pleased for him he loves playing for us...but whats the big thing thats changed......Tonali playing as a CDM....
Historically January has never been a good time to buy unless you’re looking for an emergency infill. Spend in January and you have less to spend in the Summer.
Oh how we’ve changed our tune on Tonali lol. Welcome to the club fellas. I’ve been waiting for weeks and have kept your seats warm. Great review as usual. 😎😉
Gordon might not have had the greatest game but he didn't half work hard and tracked back which is critical on his help doubling up with Hall and defending in general
We looked dynamic without J7. Tonali awesome at 6, Bruno released as an 8 because when he’s higher up the pitch, half the running is already done and his pace isn’t as critical. Murphy not the best right sided winger but yesterday’s MOTM for me and gives balance vs trying to force left sided wingers over to the right. However, still need a RW and CB asap. Beyond the scores and the opposition, what we’ve done against the last three sides is CONTROL the game. We’ve played all three games against Brentford, Leicester and Ipswich with the pace at our control. That’s the most encouraging sign for me.
Got to say lads. I love the content. Easily my favourite threesome haha with the Newcastle post match, press conference analysis content on here. There's no posting speculative rubbish for click bait and views. Just three good honest lads keeping it real. Kudos ❤
That Mads Hermansen from Leicester would be a good signing for us once they’re relegated wouldn’t break the bank good shot stopper and brilliant with his feet!
At last we are despatching teams in the lower reaches of the league. Doing what we should be. Let’s hope this is the corner turned. Bring on Villa which is a juicy looking game.
Hope we can find a way to buy a couple of quality players in January. Were playing well and thats the time to strengthen. Got 2 or 3 extra games in the Carabao cup so well need to rotate
Did anyone ask Howe at the post match conference why he kept Isak on after his hat trick, risking unnecessary injury to our main striker and when he did take him off he, again, deprived Usula of instructional game time instead of moving Gordon to the centre (or was it Miggy?)
Very difficult conditions and Dubravka was excellent with his feet today. No worldie passes but just having an extra person at the back the CB can pass back to is huge. Every time Pope gets it, every single Newcastle fan has their heart in their mouths so what do the players think? Pope is a very good shot stopper but he has two left feet which invites pressure. It's not just about the passing, it's the first touch to control a ball and quite frankly I've seen non-league keepers who are technically better than him and I'm not even joking. I just wish we shelled out the £40m for Marmadashvilli because he may not be a world-class keeper with the ball at his feet but he's as good as Dubravka from what I've seen while his shot stopping is better than Pope. Given that ship has sailed, a keeper we should have a look at is Hermansen from Leicester if budget is a problem as he looks reasonably comfortable with his feet and is a decent shot-stopper.
Trafford is a good keeper and good with the ball at his feet. Part of the issue was the way Burnley were trying to play last year. He has conceded 9 goals this year which is seems to conflict with your opinions on him. I'm sure he will only improve with age.
@@GeordieJournosSurely must be better at it than Pope though. I watched last year and at least he can play. Pope really struggles. Can't see why Totenham would also be linked if he is so poor with the ball at his feet.
Well done to Murphy. He is far more important and productive than Barnes. Barnes could only wish to contribute like Jacob. Murphy's biggest weakness is his finishing and decision making. This season he has become more unselfish and has improved his assist levels. If only he can stop hitting the post that would be almost a goal a game.
If you put isaak in the Man City team….how many goals would he score? I mean the city team of last year and not at this point of time. Isn’t it funny how Haaland isn’t scoring when city play poor? But isaak scored when the toon were poor 🤷🏻♂️
Dear all, Canny video as always👍 The solution to the GK saga is simple - let loose the Greek! Vlach played in a carabou cup match this season & I was struck by how comfortable he was om the ball👍 Regards,
I do not agree about the GK issue. Just look at De Gea at Fiorentina this season. He is just sensational. 2 losses and the least amount of goals conceded in the league. Sometimes, footwork is not that important when your keeper is a bloody brick wall. We need both Pope and Dubz. Both can do a job and we can achieve our aims with both of them in the squad.
As good as Harvey Barnes is his weaknes is not tracking back, he doesn't chase back and chase players, down helping our fullbacks out the way Gordon and Murphy do
It’s a shame how corrupt the premier league is. Although I think we have made some errors in regard to PSR, we have done very well since the takeover. Can’t predict we will make a European spot yet, let’s see where we are in February. Questions remain over the mentality when it’s comes to doing something big or winning at big away grounds etc etc. The defence isn’t as good as the 22/23 defence and it will need to get close to that level again.
I wouldnt say dubravka was better than pope but pope isnt much better tbf. Theres alot of times when i would prefere Dubz in goal rather then Pope. I certainly dont think we should be selling him.
Fawning over Isak does you no favours lads. He misses sitters too often to be in the class you place him in. That’s not to say he isn’t a good striker but come on! So glad the sniffing around Howe’s future isn’t a topic now.
He has 41 in 67. That's incredible. We never sniffed around Howe's future, we questioned his work at times, which is healthy. There's a difference. - L
Good god you lot are ridiculous- took 20 minutes to mention the reason for these results Eddie Howe - waxing lyrical about Isak and saying tino out of form - really. Obviously Isak is world class and drifts in and out of games but we all know that. Tino young lad made no mistakes and England international- poor comments no analysis. By the way Ipswich who are crap according to you have not been beaten by more than 2 goals at home this season.
It's a game of opinions and there's plenty of analysis and discussion from the game we watched, you don't need to agree with it. Ipswich haven't won at home and are 18th in the league - they were poor today, NUFC were good.
Of course it’s opinions but you lads seem to think we are good when we win and rubbish when we lose- regardless of performance. We were good today but we were not as bad as you lads suggested against Chelsea Brighton Everton imo. Goals change games obviously and that’s all we lacked in those other games. We were average against Brentford away and poor against West Ham
Instead of starting your video with Isak, should it not of been “Let’s talk about Eddie Howe “as you did when we were going through a bad patch “?Or does that not get clicks when Eddies team is winning?
Kang in Lee RM/10 and Evan Ferguson on loan gets us top 5 then summer kelleher GK harwood bellis from relegated Southampton and wirtz as our marquee signing.were then set for years to come
Lee Kang in is getting plenty of minutes at PSG and I don't see them loaning him to us. Ferguson won't come on loan as he won't get minutes and Brighton won't want to bolster us as they will push for Europe. Muani might be a better shout to loan. Hardwood-Bellis is really arrogant and I don't think he'd fit in with Howe's ethos, plenty of better CB available. Kellerher is okay but he also has his limitations, why would Liverpool buy a new keeper if they thought he could replace Allison? I think Hermansen at Leicester has a higher skill ceiling. As for Wirtz, that's unrealistic. RM, City etc are after him. Even Gyokores would be tough with the clubs after him and I don't think Gyokores is half as good as Wirtz. With Mitchell, I don't expect big names but value names on the continent.

Bruno's cross field volley to Gordon was out of this world. Gordon could have had a hat-trick today too. He needs to be clinical like last year.

Trafford is a good keeper and good with the ball at his feet. Part of the issue was the way Burnley were trying to play last year. He has conceded 9 goals this year which is seems to conflict with your opinions on him. I'm sure he will only improve with age.
Search out what Burnley fans are saying about him THIS season, re distribution. - L
@@GeordieJournosSurely must be better at it than Pope though. I watched last year and at least he can play. Pope really struggles. Can't see why Totenham would also be linked if he is so poor with the ball at his feet.
Tonali is a keeper ,do not sell this great player.
I can not believe Tino is playing ahead of Tripps. He is just average and Murphy ends up frustrated multiple times with him. We need Tripps playing.
Agreed. Think im in minority when i say that our midfield is better when Joelinton isn't in it
I'm not sure Willock made that spot his own, mind. - L
Don't forget Ipswich have held villa man united Brighton and Fulham to draws and beat spurs this season.. no mugs
Great discussion, thanks!
Please ask/inform Eddie whether he needs a ball playing goalkeeper and if so, does he seriously think that Trafford is that.
If you put isaak in the Man City team….how many goals would he score? I mean the city team of last year and not at this point of time. Isn’t it funny how Haaland isn’t scoring when city play poor? But isaak scored when the toon were poor 🤷🏻♂️
Because Isak is a better footballer
Dear all,
Canny video as always👍
The solution to the GK saga is simple - let loose the Greek!
Vlach played in a carabou cup match this season & I was struck by how comfortable he was om the ball👍
Regards,
Thanks as always, Marcus!

Only ONE assist for Murphy today, although he should have had 3, poor finishing from Gordon and Isak let him down
I do not agree about the GK issue.
Question lads, if Howe wants to go to a posession based team, would a Tonali, Guimaraes, Miley 3 be the best option?
Miles looked like a unit on tv. Add to that his technical ability I think he is going to be a superstar
Probably. - L
I thought Willock was poor today
Bruno and Tonali bossed the midfield themselves! Willock struggled to get involved.

Isak misses simple chances, great strikers punish you when you make mistakes, work to do yet for Isak.
Aye, he's not perfect. - L
I wouldnt say dubravka was better than pope but pope isnt much better tbf. Theres alot of times when i would prefere Dubz in goal rather then Pope. I certainly dont think we should be selling him.
Anybody that thinks Murphy isn't a decent player is just wrong .
He's definitely decent. Got proper value in the squad. - L
Isak is great but he’s still butchering some absolute sitters every week . Makes you think what numbers he could be on
Fawning over Isak does you no favours lads.
Do you not get concerned though because of the rules we will just have to sell him .. psr totally destroying our chances of keeping on building.
Possibly. - L
sell them while it’s hot
@@slowthian did you even watch the Everton video? We were positive - and took stick for it. - L
Instead of starting your video with Isak, should it not of been “Let’s talk about Eddie Howe “as you did when we were going through a bad patch “?Or does that not get clicks when Eddies team is winning?
We talk about Eddie Howe. Isak scored Newcastle's first hat-trick in five years. Silly comment. - L
I think talking about the manager was a token afterthought .You were on his case big time only a few days ago.Silly comment
@terrym61 it wasn't. It was in our plan. We praise when it's due and criticise the same. No agendas here, fella, despite your views. - L
Everyone chill it was only Ipswich . Real test comes shortly against Villa
Can only beat what is in front of you but agreed on Villa, that’s the biggest test of the lot by some distance.
