Thank you so much for the wii control binding!
Thank you very much. I was looking at how to setup the controller for nintendo wii. And your video helped me a lot.
You're very welcome, I know how tedious Wii can be I have a new generic guide coming as I found out how to use touch for the pointer recently. It was discovered by mistake a week ago while I was messing with things to try to get games like Wii Sports working well.
Thanks! Looking forward to watching your galaxy video!
No problem that will be Friday next week, GameCube Monday.
@@DNAMobileGaming It gonna works on Wii u games ?
Thanks for the guide!
No problemo an entire guide will be set for this device most of which will be finalized in March!
Awesome video. Used your profile. Took me ages to figure out why I couldn't detect it, just had to remove the .txt at the end of it hahaha
Oh did it save as a .txt?
@@DNAMobileGaming haha yah .ini.txt
Besides a few glitches, Wii runs pretty good 👍!
It really does, I wish I had a bigger Wii library to test a lot but honestly I didn't play a ton of Wii back in the day mostly the mainstream games I usually share.
Madness bro 😂
merci vous etes trop fort
Thanks!!! Do you plan on doing a GameCube guide? I'm curious on how you'd set that one up
EDIT: Might be a dumb question, I figured it was different for both, but it's all in one duh 🤦🏻♂️😅
Yes I do GameCube is Monday actually. I am doing all the major consoles first as I have videos already done and scheduled for the remainder of February. The graphics part is the same mostly for GameCube however, you can just load your rom directory and set your controller which is pretty straight to the point.
DKC Returns on mine shows black screen flickering when I play. What should I do?
Are you using OpenGL ? Double check this because most games work better with OpenGL not Vulkan.
@@DNAMobileGaming I got it to work. I had to use DKC Returns setting instead of the whole settings. I’m good now. I followed everything that you said. Thanks 🙏🏾
Awesome 👍 glad to help you game!
Hi I am trying to play Spider-man Shattered Dimensions for Wii and is there certain controller setting for it? I can’t figure it out. The pointing and motions aren’t working for me.
I'm not sure this guide isn't for pointer controlled games only games that don't really require the pointer as it's extremely convoluted to implement this into the a handheld that you're looking the entire time unfortunately.
Can you please help me out I’ve looked at your instructions on how to set up the Wii three times and I still can’t get the R2 button to make a shake. I have to shake the whole retro pocket just to get it to shake. What am I doing wrong, when I press the R2 button, nothing happens only if I shake it
Did you set the R2 to xyz for both the Motion Simulation and the Nunchuck attachment?
Everything worked fine but when I start a game it tells me point the Wii remote at the screen does someone know how to fix that ?
What game are you trying to play as this setup was to help for games that don't require the pointer.
Oh Alr is it possible to play games that require the pointer on the retro pocket 4pro ?
@999.wrldedit it's possible but it's a really hard process because you have to think about how the original Wiimote interacted with the Wii to begin with. These handhelds have a gyro and accelerometer inside that yes we can try to manipulate to use as a pointer of sorts and the pointer does work really well. But the issue at hand is the fact that we are trying to keep looking at the screen while pointing the devices all over and it's very difficult to do. This is also why I shared a cool mod for Super Mario Galaxy that lets us setup the classic controller and gain full control of the pointer and other movements.
@@999.wrldedit low iq comment. He JUST said it's designed for non pointer games.
If only I could map the gyro control from my external controller
Like a PS4 controller for example?
Thank you for the video.
I have a problem, namely, I have set everything up as in the video, but my IR sensor function is not working. I cannot move my finger in the menu for Mario Striker on the Wii to navigate. Maybe you can help me.
The IR pointer won't show because in the guide I explained this guide won't be good for games that require the pointer. That is why I set it to auto hide in this guide, games that require a pointer using handheld are technically not playable unless you plan to use your device as a controller on the TV. I spent an entire weekend learning how the gyro and accelerometer worked in depth a while back for another Wii setup guide for the Odin 2. I basically said "this is useless with a device that has a screen facing you" and told the community straight up that games requiring pointers were pointless. That is why I sourced out a mod for games like Super Mario Galaxy that allow you to play it with a classic controller. If you want to mess with tilt and other pointer features you just need to move your right joystick and tilt your device until it appears on screen but it's super annoying to many.
@@DNAMobileGamingthank you
Which settings do I need so that it works halfway decently? I just need to navigate through the menu.
So good its been shared to FB 👍 good job man.
For some reason I can't see the FB group anymore?
where did you get this red grip?
th-cam.com/video/zCDuCTGvgHE/w-d-xo.html
smh do ALL of our screens have that pink tinge and ghosting
No it's weird yesterday I did a live and shared a picture of my Red Pro and the Clear Pro and the Clear Pro was normal. I'm wondering if there's a bug
What would you recommend setting the clock speed for yuzu
Depends on the game for the Odin 2 I run most at Performance but on this High Performance for most heavily demanding consoles like Wii.
@@DNAMobileGaming thanks for the input 👍🏽
This just makes me want the RP4 Pro even more. 😅
Ha it actually isn't bad just not my daily device I still love the Odin 2!
In another vídeo i made changes for game cube ... Now i Have to change Again for wii.... Not make sense
Not sure what you mean? Wii and GameCube have two different controllers that is it but with regards to graphics settings and other configurations if you setup GameCube using my guide then just leave those configurations.
will this work with any android? I am trying to play Final Fantasy Crystal Bearer and that game requires the motion of the wiimote to attack enemies.
If its strong enough yeah .
@Rebel-hn9ly it's galaxy s23 ultra Hopefully it is haha
Tip get some sort of cooling mind you Wii hasn't really raised the temps a lot. Also this is Android just an all in one Android gaming handheld.
Where did you get that grip?
From Retroid below is the video of how I got that grip! th-cam.com/video/zCDuCTGvgHE/w-d-xo.html
Hi,where can i find the wii controller profile to download?,its not available on the link, content not available anymore.
Hey updating this now sorry Discord screwed up a bunch of links for everyone even though we pay monthly! 😭 Now I'll be using my personal database hope it helps!

Ok,thx,it worked fine now@@DNAMobileGaming
Can we do this with only the retroid pocket 4 no pc no memory card? 😊
Of course you can I do mostly everything directly from my device even in this guide I shared everything being done from Androids operating system.
I want something that can play Wii Sports, will this work?
No handheld like these will play any games that require a pointer as you have to keep watch at the screen while swinging the device it's just not possible lol.
@@DNAMobileGaming oh ok, guess I can make my own with a Wii, portable DVD player, and a power bank.
Rumbles wont work on my retroid with the last regular dolphin emulator..
Did you accidentally turn off the motor? The vibration worked for me even in this guide. If you go to the Wii Input at the bottom your Rumble should be set to Device Sensor Motor 0.
@@DNAMobileGaming no thank you I've tried it still does not work. But rumble works with mmjr but the emulation speed is not as good for wii games
Dude, idk what’s going on. I did all of this and when I push B the menu pops up
Double check that you selected the correct controller profile and set the correct buttons in your profile, the menu would only pop up if you didn't set the B button to an actual button for example I set button A as Button B and B as button Y 1 as button A and 2 as button X to correspond with how I like to set them up for most none pointer style games.
@@DNAMobileGaming that is so weird, I did all of this, but for some reason it’s still happening. It’s so strange. Still trying to figure out why.
My HDMI doesnt look pink like that
What color is yours?
@@DNAMobileGaming looks like normal color temps
It doesnt do wii u games right?
There doesn't appear to be an Wii U emulators for Android yet as far as I know. There's a kid that click baited me just now to thinking there was and all they did was stream Wii U (CEMU) from their PC to their device lol.
forcing 16:9 on GC can cause graphical glitches
I've never noticed anything in that regard personally but some might like to put it back to 4:3 so it's a preference thing really.
The display is horrible , it looks pink. I dont like it. I wont be getting a 4pro, i'll stick to my 3+
It's the HDMI out they need to fix it, it's not the actual device fortunately just a os bug.
mine looks normal, i think it has an hdmi bug on an older os version
