"Could you please post the interview with Bono and Larry Mullen Jr. of U2 from June 1997? They have a great story about Sinatra. And we don't see much of Larry these days.

I saw U2 during their Popmart Tour in Hannover, Germany, 1997-08-20. What a great show. Discotheque was my favorite song during this tour! But the whole Pop-Album is great!

Bono looked so good here. I always remember him wearing the ugly pair of sunglasses. Larry Mullen Jr. has always been so handsome.
POP - the last time they truly took a risk and made something incredible and out of this world....
What they're wearing is still actually in style. They were always well ahead of their time.
Larry is so handsome. Comes across so humble and wholesome. No ego whatsoever :)

Last time U2 played Dublin, I could hear them even though I live about 5 miles from the stadium. Maybe Bono was doing a favour for the Bonavox hearing aid shop that’s still there today. (“Bono Vox” came from that shop name, coined by a friend of his.)

I like how Bono doesn't hog the questions and keeps bringing Larry in. I saw U2 in front of a crowd of 12 once, my second gig. Nice fellas
I miss this u2. Infact this was my first u2. In-fact, I saw them in concert for the first time in New Jersey either the night this was filmed or one of the days around it.
Interesting, because a lot of people even at that time were saying that U2 sold out
@@jsizemo Probably the most adventurous musically U2 were ever. And they got such a bad press for it, that after that they reverted to a more mainstream crowd pleasing sound. I love Pop.

I read a book that was released right after the Zoo tour; and there was a pasaage in it describing Bono's moment with Sinatra. He did in fact wet himself during the drinking session; and was impressed by Sinatras alcohol stamina 😅

The CIA called the mission Ortsac, and the papers figured it out really fast, that it was Castro backward, when the Whitehouse Press Secretary brought it up to special assistant and appointment secretary to President John F. Kennedy, Kenneth P. O'Donnell during the 13 days, he threatened him...

I see a lot of comments . It was the best tour but also the worst album at the time . They almost went bankrupt. I enjoyed the concert but was very surprised they almost disappeared.
