At 2.20 it looks like you're feeling for the burr along the front cutting edge of the blade. If so why is that, beraing in mind the stone is rotating towards that front edge of the blade?
Straight barber scissors are sharpened exactly the same way. Convex scissors do not have a bevel and the BACK of the blade is honed toward the flat inner edge. This requires special tooling - OR a very skilled hand on a water stone! RandysSuperSharp.com

If the blade was a straight line, why did you need to pick up on the end? I do that for curved knife blades but not for straight utility knife blades.
Scissor blades are never straight Always a curve.
