i think you should learn about the history a little bit more ,in first world war turkey and germany were allies ,the english attacked turkey 5 times and they lost with a lot of casualties they never made it to the main land they were stuck at the beach first time the british attacked turkey they came alone and they lost once they realized they were not going to win they came with more troops and war ships and allies , every time they attacked they got their ass kicked severely that is why they never want to talk about this war and they called a blunder they attacked 5 times and lost 5 times well any way because germany lost the war turkey declared they lost the war but they always won the battle those rifles were never collected from the turks they were manufactured in turkey with german partnership sold to other countries

I’m hooked on the podcast .. Bulk of these 7.65mm Ottoman Mausers were gathered up by the Brltlsh and given to Belgians as war compensation, during the occupation of the ottoman empire in 1918-1922

Fun fact, besides British captures from Gallipoli, the Serbian army also captured a bunch during the Balkan wars (I believe Bulgaria also did, possibly other nations too). If I remember correctly, about 40,000 Ottoman guns, many in 7.65 specifically (as well as some 1887s and older) and nearly 1 millions rounds of ammo were retained by the Serbians during the Great Retreat. When rearming the Serbs with French and Russian rifles, these Turk guns were also taken and given to Belgium.
I believe this was mentioned in Serbian Army Weapons of Victory 1914-1918 Vol.I.

The Arabic script number under the new Belgian serial is the Turkish Date: 1312, which translates to c.1896 CE.
The Arabic Serial is usually on the RHS of Receiver Ring.
Otherwise a good overview of the Type and its History.

The Arabic number indicates to the year of made in Hejri calendar not the serial number. It made in 1312 A.H. today on April 14, 2020 and we are in 8/21/1441 A.H. this rifle is 129 years old.

I really enjoyed the video. Great summary. I didn't know about the clips and the magazine cut-off. The joke at the end was good too. You'll have a great collection to enjoy for the rest of your life.

Judging by the metal tag on the trigger guard this rifle came from Springfield sporters. That is the way they used to inventory there guns. The SS and then followed by a number on the tag. He got a lot of rare pieces that would just show up as on or two pieces in random shipments. I got to see the personal collection one time and it was a walk through history! Century arms now has total possession of all the Springfield sporters assets and is selling them on there website.

Hi a question for you.what are the rifles that have a bolt that is interchangeable with the argentine 1891 ?i have heard that the belgian and ottoman 1893 are. Thanks

    • @nebiyuesayas5600

The Argentine 91 bolt is interchangeable with the Belgian 89 and Ottoman 90. The Ottoman 93 bolt does not interchange with any of those
