Correct! This method will provide residual pre-emergence control for up to 3-6 months against listed annual weeds like crabgrass, poa anna, goosegrass, etc. However, it will not affect existing weeds. You need to use a post-emergent killer to do that. It should be safe to do both if you have a major issue with that crabgrass is already established.
The amount of water doesn't really matter as long as you're getting the product applied evenly. So, to answer you're question - it depends. The walking pace matters. It could be anywhere from 1 gallon per 1,000 sq ft if you are walking slower (say 2mph) or if you're like me, I have a 4 gallon sprayer, and I will do my entire 10,000 sq ft walking at close to 4 mph. It's a very brisk walk! The PSI of the pump sprayer matters too, so make sure that is spraying with a constant stream all the way through. If you are not sure, you can do a test run with water only first and see how long it takes to empty out the tank.

You got it! Happy to help. Have a great day!
So pre emergent helps throughout the entire winter? Or so most of these crabgrass etc germinate in the fall and then appear the next spring?

So it's okay to apply pre emergent, weed control, and grass fertilizer same day? (Weekend)
Which one kills the lawn the quickest?
Trick question? Answer: Neither
Great video! How many gallons of water and dimension to treat around 2200 square ft?
Thanks! The application rate for Dimension 2EWis 0.73 oz/1,000 sq. ft. so you're looking at around 1.5oz for 2,200 sq ft.
@@GriffithLawnLabs Thank you, but how many gallons of water for 1.5oz of Dimension?

@@GriffithLawnLabs I see thank you. I was thinking too much water dilutes it and too little would be too strong.
