    Timely information. I have been going over this stuff with my technicians. My dry-erase board teaching seems to bore them so I'm gonna have them watch this video!

    Good stuff. I've learned so much from you with weed control. Except how to enjoy it. RollTide!

    I live in East TN and did a Prodiamine application in early January. I plan on making another application around the middle of Feb. Assuming it was done properly, do you think I should have good control of Poa this spring? Everyone usually talks about these applications for controlling crab grass, but my main concern is controlling the cool season weeds that usually show up in the spring time.

    I have a 32 gallon tow behind tank sprayer. Q: Do I need a tank sprayer that can churn the mix to keep it from settling when I use Resolute 65wg?

      Agitation would definitely help

    The rate in which you apply your prodiamine, how many months of protection are you getting?

    • @lawncarelife
      @lawncarelife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good question. I really don't know the answer. It's hard to say effective prodiamine is on the weeds that germinate later. I'm planning to use specticle in May to help with some of the summer weeds

    Great video! I have a 30 gallon pull behind boom sprayer. With my mower on its lowest speed I can cover 1 acre with 15 gallons of water. Do I then add enough chemical for an acre in that 15 gallons?? Or should I be using more water to "carry" the chemical?? Thanks!

    What do you think about Coastal. Supposed to be a pre and post emergent. Contains prodiamone for the pre and imazaquin and simazine for post.

    I am in central Georgia and some years the soil temp get to 55 in February. I am putting my prodiamine out tommorow, with a glyphosate kicker and some Alpine for the fleas and ants.

    Hello Jason quick question, could I do the full rate on the prodieming on the spring and come back with spectcalo flow in the fall?

    • @lawncarelife
      @lawncarelife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but that is probably more prodiamine than necessary.

    Why don't you purchase Espanade 200 sc? It's way cheaper than specticle flo when comparing amounts of the same active ingredient. 19.05% vs. 7.4% at very similar costs per ounce. You'll save thousands if you go through at least a gallon jug a season.

    Jason, I have a 1.5 acre centipede lawn in central Alabama. I was all set to put out prodiamine on it yesterday. Been watching several of your videos and I'm learning, or trying to. Got my 31 gallon tank sprayer calibrated with the help of your calibration video. Triple checked my calculations and was certain of my rate of application. I chickened out because of some other videos warning of root "pruning". I don't know to what extent this takes place or whether it's something to be concerned about with centipede lawns or not, but the concern was enough for me to hold up and do a little more research. Have you seen any negative effects using this product with centipede? Should I be concerned about this? There's still time to use the product, but I want to be sure of what I'm doing to my lawn first. The issue with my lawn is lespodeza and clover more than crabgrass. Been using ChangeUp on it, but thought I'd try a pre-emergent.

      @lawncarelife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I only use a low rate of prodiamine on centipede. I have not had an issue. I am using .55 pounds per acre. Once the lawn turns fully green, then you can use change up to clean up most of the remaining weeds

    Have you ever heard of applying pre-emergent monthly? A potential client just requested this service.

    • @lawncarelife
      @lawncarelife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not recommend that. You would have to apply a very low amount to keep from going over the annual limit. It would save you a lot of effort just to apply more pre-emergent less often

    In my state (FL) it's illegal to treat turf for weeds unless you have a special license, I can do treatments on ornamental beds, and I can fertilize/seed, but I can't do weed n feed on lawns (legally - I know other lawn guys do it, I saw somebody obviously f-ing up a lawn today 😂)

    • @lawncarelife
      @lawncarelife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think most states, if not all of them require a license but I have heard that Florida is more difficult to get licensed than most
