    This basic information is often confusing to customers and this video is spot on. I've given this information to new customers many times. The only thing I'd add to this is the importance of a fall pre-emergent to stop those winter weeds from showing up in the spring. The timing of these applications is also crucial for success. Soil temperatures should be your deciding factor.

    • @BudgetLawns

    I actually started my spring stuff in the 2nd week of Feb. Its been a very very mild winter here , TTTF never seen below 32* more than 1 day at a time with mostly 60,s 70,s and even a few 80 degree days mixed in ...so my Lebanon 19/0/6 with .37 prodiamine went down early and 2nd application soon...good luck folks and remember mother nature will change any schedule lol...just adapt and do what you feel is correct. Love that you aren’t trying to sell me anything like other lawn TH-camrs.
    I have a question on what you do specifically.
    Do you use 1 whole bag of pro care natural and 1 whole bag of 10-10-10 every time you fertilize?
    I have about 4,000sq ft of Bermuda and was thinking of doing that once a month for about four months, but was not sure if that would be too much.

    Here in Canada in my province pretty much any lawn product is banned. For the last four years I've pulled thousands of dandelions, and that purple crap. Much or what worked is just keeping at it literally every day. De-thatch, scarify (electric Sun Joe) had a major effect. Consistent watering too can be tricky. Fertilizer is an art unto itself when or what type and then there's nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite, and the organisms you need to help you.

    Another great video! I live in north Georgia with about 4000 sq feet Bermuda that has years of no maintenance and is infested with weeds. I began to utilize your recommendations in September 2022 with applying 2 (10lb) bags of Spectracide Weedstop For Lawns W/Crabgrass Preventer granules (watered in with hose). I repeated the process in early January and early March. Bermuda is dormant (obviously)now, but there’s already a great improvement in the amount of weeds from last year! I will be beginning the 10-10-10 synthetic fertilizer and organic fertilizer simultaneously beginning in May with plans to repeat in June, July and then again in September when I again will apply the Spectracide Weedstop granules. If needed, I plan to use the hose end sprayer post emergent Spectracide Weedstop in May. Thanks again for your no nonsense approach! Looking forward to watching your live show! Go Dawgs in 2023!

      Which one in particular? I went over 4 products in the video. If it’s fert or pre emergent, mow before to get it down into the soil and canopy better. If it’s post emergent don’t mow or wait a couple days after mowing. Hope this helps. Appreciate ya!

    Can I do a pre emergent and a post emergent treatment for weeds at the same time? Or is only one treatment necessary?

      All that's discussed in the video. Pre emergent needs watered in and a post doesn't. The timing is usually off to need to do them at the same time anyway. I wouldn't do them together. Thanks for watching.

    Good vid about Watering. ? WHY don't some Lawn bloggers Never say Anything about getting a SOIL TEST, that a #1factor in determining what Ratio of Fertilizer(NPK) needed for your Lawn AND stop the guessing game of what's Fertilizer to Buy, just sayin..⛳️

    • @BudgetLawns
      @BudgetLawns  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. A soil test is certainly a great idea for those looking to dive deeper into it. Or someone who wants to be more precise. However, that's just not realistically how a vast majority of homeowners are. So for me, I'm speaking to that audience. It's not saying a soil test is a bad idea. It's just saying that if you're not interested in that, you can still get lawn tips here for the average homeowner. As lawn bloggers, we can't be everything to everybody. Trying to do that would drive anyone crazy. Appreciate you watching.

      We had to stop doing it back in the fall. Joe and I got very busy with family commitments and something had to be eliminated. It was the show. We hope we’ll be able to get it going when kids’ activities slow down for summer. Thanks for watching.
