Love the new 4th line of Malenstyn Lafferty and Aube-Kubel. Sabres are no longer a SOFT team! Lots of grit there ! Im hoping - praying Adams can now trade for a 3rd line centre( Frost Phil , Tyler Johnson Chi or Bennett FLA) because we all know Krebs was an epic failure there last season.
Looking forward to seeing the new 3rd D paring of Dennis Gilbert and Clifton. Jokiharju if not traded will be the 7thD

If there's one thing we learned from these playoffs, it's that there truly is, no more fighting in the NHL. However, the bullying/ intimidation factor is still out there. Hopefully, that's been addressed...
Ik lots of fans are gonna call me crazy Wayne but I like the moves we made this offseason. We upgraded coaching we upgraded our bottom 6 we are much more physical we got a great young d core we have lots of young star forwards yes one more top 6 player would be good but we can’t overpay. Lots of teams today made questionable moves that will age horribly just look at what Boston paid guys so I’m still optimistic despite lots of pessimism in our own fan base

Wayne! Congrats to you and your family on becoming a grandfather.... In the meantime, you finally got what you wanted in getting rid of Skinner's bad contract by buying him out... Perhaps, he'll now help the Oiler's in winning a Stanley Cup as he signed as a free agent with Edmonton for one year at 3m on yesterday... Despite being very disappointed with Skinner's departure, in the end, Adams did the right thing as Skinner wasn't worth getting 9m annually... I was also very disappointed to see Zemgus Girgensons sign with Tampa Bay, but they offered him a better deal than what the Sabres offered him, as he signed a 3-year deal for $885k annually... Perhaps, he'll finally get to experience the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in his career with the Lightning... Needless to say, I wish him nothing but the very best... Thanks for all the memories to both Jeff Skinner and Zemgus Girgensons, as you will always be cherished during your time as members of the Buffalo Sabres Organization...

Also need guys that score more goals than they give up. Skinner for his career is a minus 130. Minus 2 last year.

I have mixed feelings on buying out Skinner. It's done lets hope they make the best of it. Like you, I am encouraged by the physicality added to the roster. It's about time, right? Lindy is quickly making this his team.
I've seen a fair amount of complaining over the draft and FA so far. Many seem to be upset with the trade for Malenstyn. I was happy to get Malenstyn. Others are disappointed with the lack of sexy free agent additions. I'm not so concerned about it. The current roster is better than it was last Friday. Including Lindy, for the first time in years I think we have a playoff caliber team.
Looking forward to hearing your thought on the draft picks.

Congrats on the new addition to the family! I'm a fan of the moves Buffalo has made so far. They needed to be tougher to play against and I think they did that. They essentially got an entire new 4th line, and they combined for over 540 hits last season between Lafferty, Malenstyn, and Aube-Kubel!

My biggest concern though is that there may have been an over correction when it came to signing physical players. While Zucker has an offensive upside, I’m a little worried that we’re going to struggle to get goals from out Bottom 6.
I also agree on the Bryson thing, but not as much as resigning Kale Clague. I just hope that these signings keep Johnson from playing games in Buffalo next season.

I like the Sam Lafferty signing. I was A Huge Fan of him on The Chicago Blackhawks. I think, that, he'll be A Very Good Addition, however, I would've liked to have seen Adams get A Top 6 Guy, as you said in another video. Let me know what you think
Great Video, as usual, Wayne. I think, even though The Buffalo Sabres are one of My Favorite Teams, they should have done A Bit More in Free Agency. Let me know what you think. By the way, Congratulations to you & your family.
Now, its a question of how Lindy will use these new guys. A 4th line to grind teams down, or spread them out to "possibly" open up ice for the skill guys. 👍👍

I am very interested to see if we had any meaningful talks with Stamkos and what came out of that, this is an absolute make up break season for the Sabres no excuses they need to make the playoffs this year and congrats on the new baby!

Not a fan of the Skinner buyout. If we don't spend to cap limit it doesn't make sense. So there has to come more.

Congrats on becoming a Grampa... the good news.. Grand kids are more fun... I know many are complaining because the sabres didn't make the big splash.. but really, I didn't see many "Big Spash" guys out there that weren't too close to 35 (stamkos, Kane.. etc).. so that was difficult.. they may still make a trade for the big splash.. I don't know who may be available...

I don't have any issues with the signings. Lafferty, Zucker and Kubel were all good depth guys. Adams does need to get a top 6 winger, but I know he can trade for that. I feel there were so many signings that players were getting more than their worth due to the teams rushing to sign them. I also was disappointed in signing Bryson, but perhaps Adams isn't getting the players he thought were gonna be interested in playing here. My biggest concern was is Zucker for 5 mil and seeing Skinner signing for 3 mil with Edm....is Zucker really almost twice the player Skinner was (since almost twice the price)?

My takes-
#1- GMKA stayed away from the losing poker table.
The one that had 4 to 6 year big money deals going to a lot of 33/34+ year old players. I see lots of buyouts 2 years from now.
#2- GMKA added over 400 hits to this roster in the early offseason. 👍

I agree we need more physical guys but my concern is faceoffs . We cant keep chasing the play after every faceoff.

The problem I have with Adams finally is that he bought a top 6 forward out to get more cap space and he doesn’t replace him. The signings he made yesterday do not replace Skinner. This is offseason could put Adams on the hot seat. His press conference talking about saving money for future guys in our system was a head scratcher… why? Next offseason we have 38 million….
Actually the signings do replace skinner with pucks kept out of our net alone. We can’t look at stats and offense one dimensionally. Our roster has significantly improved.

Congrats Grandpa! I hope that Mom and baby are well, great news. I am so tired of Adams playing wiffle ball when the rest are playing hard ball. Totally underwhelming! This was another half hearted effort, just like firing Granato and only bringing in Lindy instead of letting him bring in his own team of coaches. Yeah, Clague and Bryson? When you see the number of prospects from Rochester that went today, it just irks me. If there was interest in these guys, then there was a lost opportunity to move them during the season for a piece, which leads me to wonder if the other young guys are losing their value by not using the trade pieces effectively.
Don't you think Buffalo could have used their second round pick they used to get Malenstyn for acquiring Chychrun in a trade instead. They could have got Malenstyn for a cheaper price.

The new roster has Lindy’s fingerprints all over it. I feel as if they’re insulting our stars like Tommer or tuchy. Tired of have to see guys like Tommer drop the gloves when he shouldn’t have to. We’re set in the bottom 6
I enjoyed watching Thompson drop the gloves……….i hope he starts doing that a bit more often

I think they’re actually doing the opposite. We signed 3 guys who hit and hit hard. They will protect the offensive-minded guys. Gilbert for example could slot into our defense for even more grit if needed.
