This is the year the Sabres turn the corner. It's all coming together. Every new season is a clean sheet.
Thank you Wayne. I’m glad someone is saying everything you are saying here. It’s very difficult trying to use logic and reason with fans that just won’t see it. I’m not letting it ruin my season.
I’ve also talked to older fans who don’t see that we are doing a proper rebuild. I think Adams is giving us a chance to go beyond where Bowman, Regier, etc couldn’t finish the job. We’ve never seen a proper rebuild all the way through in our entire history which is probably a big reason why we’ve never won a cup. That’s why I’m completely on board with all the necessary growing pains.
I think a lot of fans are overreacting from our drop in offense last year. We underachieved but had an important year of improving defense. With the improvement in the bottom 6 singings alone we will become an even better defensive team. With Lindy behind the bench and overall improvements in offense, defense, and toughness, I don't see how we aren't a playoff team.
This is a playoff team. Not just because of bounce back players like Tage & Cozens, Tuch and Dahlin, but because of guys pushing through for the first time, like Quinn, Byram, Benson, Power and Levi. Looking forward to arguing 'how far are we going in playoffs?' rather than 'can we make it?' Fanbase will always be divided lol.
I agree, Wayne 👍. Positive attitude and mindset is needed from Sabres Nation. Been a Sabres fan for 40+ yrs. I'm not going anywhere. I'm Pumped with moves GMKA made this off-season. Starting with being back Ruff. And building up our bottom 6.

I am not going anywhere either, I love my Sabres, but after countless heart aches(that #$#%# Bernie Parent) we ponder the future with trepidation, and cautious optimism, but an unyielding love, commitment, dedication and loyalty for the beloved blue and gold of my Sabres!

The changes made since the end of last year, getting rid of dead weight like Olofsson, Skinner, Girgensons, etc., finally firing Granato, the draft, the players picked up elevates the entire makeup on the team. I was hoping for a big name forward, but my thought is that until the cloud that hangs over the franchise of breaking the streak, the available players would rather go elsewhere.3 more week.
“Big name”, really? Should we go for Taylor hall again? Or maybe Eric Stall this time?
A forward that can skate and not be a Minus player, a tourist on defense, is what I wouldn’t mind seeing until scoring production is fulfilled.
Our new look bottom 6 might be the best bottom 6 in the east. That will make us much tougher to play against IMO.
Just imagine we make the play-offs with this roster! A depth in talent and prospect pool.
A young, youthfull and more experienced team.
2 young goaltenders and some cap space left?

Love your videos, I think this season they have a good chance. I love the goalies, defense and bottom 6. I just hope the top 6 have a good bounce back, I'm betting they will with Lindy back. As always with this rebuild I am optimistic but realistic. Let's go BUFF-A-LO 💙💛❤️🖤
You’re the Sabres channel I watch the most- by far. This roster under Lindy’s guidance should produce some amazing hockey, I’m beyond excited.

I want Tuch and Tage to have that playoff feeling. I truly think if we get into the playoffs guys like Tuch Tage and cozens will explode. KA got us the needed grit now let’s protect UPL and unleash our speedy kids…..who knows!

Who's not excited?
This here guy is stoked! When one looks at the blue and gold from the net out, they are stacked. In goal we have what may turn out to be the best tandem in the league. Out D corps are very solid there is no way around it. And up front they have a scrappy, fast bottom six and a top six who are as talented as anybody.
So yeah they will be in the playoffs. I'll be more surprised if they miss than if they make it.
Yes and this is only the beginning! Let’s see how good Cozens, Power, and everyone else are playing in 3-5 years from now.
I really appreciated this. New sub! I literally got teary eyed when I heard Lindy was coming back, which is very unusual for me, this just feels different. Purposeful. And I really like some of the changes I’m seeing! Yes, we need a power forward, but I totally agree with the points you made re cap space. There has to be a lot of strategy and a big carrot to get high value talent here…. And I’m really looking forward to the day that people are signing up, even eager to play here again!! I want the hockey market of my childhood again… I want KeyBank to have the roof busting off again with how loud the crowd gets (ok well maybe not off, we’ve had enough roof problems lmao). But you know what I mean… those of us who experienced the Sabres of the 90s and early 2000s know how good it can be here. I’m staying glass half full about where we are headed. I DO think we can reach the playoffs. Thanks a lot for the more positive slant. 🎉
I’ve been a huge UPL fan since he was drafted, I think he’s got major potential, and Levi definitely does too though I’d really like to see him spend more time in Rochester before becoming 1B. But hey it’s a good problem to have, choosing between the 3 goaltenders we have right now!
Edited to add: the more I think about the McLeod trade the happier I am about it actually, even just the fact that he JUST went through a playoff run, that’s really important experience to have in the room.

Looking forward to the season with Ruff back and the moves Adams made to make the bottom 6 forward group faster & tougher! Denis Gilbert from Calgary will also add some much needed toughness in D. This team will definiely make the playoffs this year and finish ahead of the much HATED Sewage Pit Make me laughs aka the leafs!
As far as Krebs is concerned I think Adams is trying to trade him or hope he holds out to open a spot on the 3rd line for Kulich or Rosen ( greenway to spare forward) as either one of them offers WAY MORE speed and offence than Krebs and Greenway!

I admire the optimism and am trying to be optimistic as well but it's not easy. I'll still look forward to watching every game that I can, winning or losing. After so many years though, I can't help having a healthy bit of skepticism. I want to see a cup in Buffalo as much as anyone!
Good way to take a break,even if I get pai t on me phone ,I think what changed Casey was his last trip to Rodchester ,that's when he figured it out ,I'm as excited maybe more for the Sabres season than the Bills ,you really get to k ow the team when you get to see em play 70 games a year
I think you are bang on with Krebs. He is at that age now that if he is traded, I think this is the year he actually breaks through. Mitts, Thompson, and Dahlin took longer than usual to finally break out. Krebs is only the age now of when Dahlin started his breakout so if they trade him, I think it might be premature (unless its a good value) but I think if they keep him one more season (and one under Ruff mind you) I think he will break out.

When some of the people on twitter say "sell the team", I wonder how many of them are Leafs fans. Anybody calling to sell the team, no matter what they claim, are not Sabres fans.
Just the situation in goal, has got to be a reason for optimism, not to mention the new b6 makeover! A group of tough 3rd and 4th liners can really do things for the top 6 guys. The team took a step back last year, watch what happens now!
Krebs has played with a few members of the team. I believe he's motivated. Hoping for a uprising in his development. Trading or giving up on young players (expecialy young talent 1st Rounders) not a good idea
I look forward to seeing levi and upl this year. I think both have potential to thrive
I remember a overhearing 2 Sabre fans complaining because Buffalo had traded for a journeyman goalie with Chicago and what a bone headed trade it was despite Buffalo giving up virtually nothing. That goalie?............ Malcolm Subban. D'oh! 😊😉😋 (admit it, you all thought Hasek!) 😊
I admire the optimism, but the Atlantic division is just so tough. It seems like teams like FLA, TOR, BOS, and Tampa are just in another class compared to the other 4 teams. Love the vids tho!

I will be cheering on this team no matter what but I don't want to have a lofty expectations and get burned again so i just hope they will be in a race for a wild card, however they probably will not make playoffs this year again.

And ya I live in buffalo and everyone is negative about the Sabres and the bills for that matter and then I see all these dumb nhl fans trash Lindy and he’s the 5th all time in wins and easily the best coach to not win a cup yet but if we give him time I would not be surprised if we made the second round this year and won the cup next

Appreciating the perspective! This is an exciting year for this team. I get that the younger fans have only really seen the downswing, but us dinosaurs have seen the signs of a winning team in the making here this year. That bottom six rebuild is going to take so much weight off the top 6 to control the pace of the game. Let's go!🦬
