yeah it get stuck cus it kinda wants to float or something if you push it deep enough the kayak can just float away, make sure you are holding both the cart and kayak lol
Good video! I have the same kayak cart. As you show, getting the kayak back on the cart can be a challenge. Especially when I feel I first have to remove the NK300 and 36V battery to lessen the weight. Now that I relocated my NK300 from my Native Propel 13 to my ATAK 120 I will have an easier time. The replaceable keel on the ATAK kayak is worth it's weight in gold. I have less fear of a short drag and the Propel had a very exposed rudder. I normally launch my kayak right off the end of the wharf of my favorite fishing spot, and on lucky days the rising tide allows me to lift it right back on the dock at the end of the day. But, often we must use the ramps on low tide. Thanks, Aliex!
Also, a little update on my ATAK 120 with my relocated NK300. I haven't fished yet with it, maybe Monday, but in my trial run in a local canal my speedometer app pegged me at 7 mph and once showed 8mph. and the motor wasn't even optimized running just below the surface. I suspect that the app rounded 7.5 mph up to 8 since it had only registered whole mph. But, I'm optimized now and hoping for a consistent 7+ mph and then I can crank it down to 6+ mph to conserve battery power.
i can see that attak touching 7mph for sure, not much drag on the water, NK300 is a beast! please go fishing! i can't remembe how fish smells like, it has been a while lol
The cart used to load is awesome but very expensive. Always use 3 straps to secure each kayak carried. With the MK106, I take out the battery and the motor upon returning to facilitate the transfer back to the truck. My biggest issue at times is the modified C-tug cart that seems low for the kayak even with PVC pipe modification. Do you use the ramp at Morning Side park or the kayak launch? Nice video Aliex
Hey Aliex: As you so generously demonstrated, all it takes is the RIGHT 3 items: the right bed extender, the right 4-wheel cart and the right 2-wheel cart. Message to viewers with a heavy kayak: don't cheap out on storage and transportation.
@AliexFolgueira rip, I have a sedan with cam strap racks packing and entire rig. Not just for a nice day of fishing but for days. From my drive system to my rods and gear, I have a good time packing and unpacking. I can imagine top loading an suv can be a pain but hell any 13ft kayak is.
hey alex , I'm one of your longest fan, maybe you have spare 2nd hand helix drive for sale for my recon 120hd 😅 the price of helix drive so expensive excluding the shipping fee and i can't afford it.😅
its easy when you have the Truck right by the launch. Imagine having to walk back to the car...ahhhh man it is soooo hard because you can't even take the drive or nothing off the kayak since you don't want to risk walking back and forth and having something stolen. I would suggest strapping the cart onto the kayak while its still in the water and then dragging it out...much easier than lifting the kayak onto the cart at (fully loaded w/ drive too)
you are the guy on Alfreds channel I see every so often? Came here for kayak content (fellow paddler) and when you said black point......I'm pretty sure I recognize you from his channel a couple times?
Cangrena es lo que te va a dar😂 But I enjoy watching your videos Now you should do a video of organizing your garage with all the equipment that you have! God bless bro!
you know it is happening! just gave my two weeks at work, first order of business is cleanup! backyard first then, "come clean up my garage with me video" lol
haha, this video have been very well recieved! hahaha I see why, that little trick of just dropping the boat deep with the kayak cart unstrap, and just pull the cart out with the strap will save a lot of head aches, extra process but worth it, I will have to do several more videos covering this topic, suv, car, side road launch, etc
Dude, you should bring some freshwater with you whenever you kayak in salt water and rinse off your kayak before putting it in your truck. That’s why your tailgate rusted out so bad.
well the 4 wheel system is not needed, it is a a nice to have, the bed extender again not needed, helps a lot. The problem with trailers is in many places it is a hassle to park or you have to pay fees, I have a kayak trailer and love it, don't take it all the time of course
@@AliexFolgueira yeah fair enough, i am lucky that some of our ramps are free and forget that's not always the case and it can be hard to find a place to park a trailer. i am mostly a morning fisherman so i don't have to deal with the big afternoon crowds.
You also have to put plates, title on the trailer. Worry about smoking a hub ( been there, it sucks), think about how fast those little tires are spinning! Lights. Backing that little trailer up. For every pro to a trailer, there is a con.

lol my man spends all his time on the water to avoid cleaning that garage!
guilty.. lol
Off the cart and into the water has always been a pain in the ass. Gonna try this method. Never thought about that.
yeah it get stuck cus it kinda wants to float or something if you push it deep enough the kayak can just float away, make sure you are holding both the cart and kayak lol
just get a jetski trailer and launch it like a boat.
What a slick way to launch. I’m gonna have to try that.
On this episode of hoarders... A man named Alex is a confirmed kayak hoarder! 😂
hahaha we been getting rid of stuff but gonna go on hyperdrive soon! haha

Awesome video. Can't load the rigging cart you used in the garage. Do you have the website?

Great launch method. Thanks.
Thank you
Our ramps around here are as steep as freaking Mt Everest! This place would be a pleasure to launch and recover my boat.

Kayak launch, I think the ramp was closed
such a great and efficient method!! Thank you for sharing
learn a lot from you
Glad it was helpful!

yup if you going to have a heavy kayak, don't cheap out on transport, your back will not forgive you if you do
Great video! Thanks for making it.
Our pleasure!
Nice brotha gonna have to try transporting like that next time !
i got a large gorilla cart that will do the same thing but I like your style.and got a kick out of that garage door side eye thing..lol
Very informative video Aliex, thank you hermano!
De nada, gracias
Good video! Have to be careful around ramp because if you slip and fall you will make Alfred's video highlight reel!
alfred can't catch me, im too fast for him
Aliex when I grow up I want to be like you!
Try that for folks with a car 😅
Will do! Next will be suv

@mindhax_ in my early days I totally destroyed my focus lol 😆

Hey thanks bro, I don't have any helix drive

There are 10x scenarios, more videos coming
Good video!
thanks :) SUV and car next
That tailgate 😂
epicness
At the ramp if you just backed your tires up to the water you can drop the kayak right into the water with no cart.
@@Kgoutdoor if the kayak had nothing on it maybe still I wouldn't recommend that
you are the guy on Alfreds channel I see every so often? Came here for kayak content (fellow paddler) and when you said black point......I'm pretty sure I recognize you from his channel a couple times?
yeah we have been making fun videos since 2018, he has been in a lot of mine, i even made a playlist called "pure amazingness" lol

@AliexFolgueira looking forward to see it, my friend!!!
You need to add tension to you garage door springs so it stays open.
Yes great idea! Thank you
How did your fans not applaud you? lol, great informative video, always a struggle with this

Let's talk about your truck's tailgate! I've never seen one rust like that....
one of a kind brother, did you heat skip a bit when I let the fully loaded epdl plus roll down the ramp? haha
Dude, you should bring some freshwater with you whenever you kayak in salt water and rinse off your kayak before putting it in your truck. That’s why your tailgate rusted out so bad.
rain is what caused it
No brakes on that $500 cart trolly is ridiculous
get the cheaper one, has brakes
Thanks for the video but like EVERYTHING else dedicated to kayak fishing, the cart is wayyyyy over priced…$400! Don’t think so.
you can make your own, build a box, add coasters, same idea.
you spent all the money on a extender and that 4 wheel system why not just get a jetski trailer. it don't get any easier to load and unload then that.

Aliex, cool vid bro. They steal tailgates in Florida, because all the ocean salt in the air. My dad left his the same way, years ago. 😂 🛶 🎣
one of a kind brother
@@AliexFolgueira 🤣 That's why I enjoy your channel bro!!
