Hahaha you are absolutely correct…I’ve done that and unfortunately did not capture it on video…ended up almost chest deep in the water, in February on Kentucky lake, for a moment getting my kayak before it drifted off…surprisingly only my feet were wet up to my ankles from the water…the kayaking suit otherwise kept me dry…I have since added a strap I use for the attachment point (it’s in one of my videos from two months or so ago)
Great video and I admire your kayak setup. I been using my Vevor dolly cart in the same way to launch tying it to my extender. I am having a hitch fabricated to the bed extender it should make my launch even easier
If i had my kayak modified this much, i'd feel exactly the same. I launch my pedal drive from a small trailer as well due to the weight, but have zero of the headaches this fellow seems to be trying to solve. Can I go as far as if i had power? no. can I get shallower without worrying? almost certainly. Do i have to register my boat? also no. When your yak looks like this, I just can't see a reason you don't have a jon boat or full size bass boat unless you're fishing a kayak only tourney circuit.
What trailer is that? I'm actually in the process of selling my bass boat in favor of a kayak - looking at the Nucanoe Unlimited or Old Town Sportsman 120. I launch and retrieve my bass boat exactly the same way! Great video. Thanks
Awesome!!! The brand is Right-On…I am a bit biased but I highly recommend the Unlimited…higher weight capacity (by 150 lbs I believe) and you can’t beat the stability of NuCanoe…and thank you!
Lol! Omg! Talk about overcomplicating kayak fishing! Holy crap! That wouldn't even be fun. I wouldn't even go fishing if I had to de all that crap. I get to the lake. Move off to the side. Pull my kayak out of the truck and then go park. Then I push the kayak into the water and go fishing. Simple, easy and fun. A trolling motor on a kayak!! Lol! How lazy are you? That's so funny
Nice. Only thing I might not do is hook that front rope to the quick release bar. I know my luck, somehow that would end up pulling it out lol

And that’s the reason why I miss having my bass boat because a kayak is such a pain in the ass compared to the bass boat

I need the winch stand for the trailer also. Thank you for replying. Most people don't.
No problem. I’m not sure about the winch stand. I pulled it off of an old jetski trailer I had been using previously.
Now how do you do that in the winter when you don't want to get completely soaking wet...
Exactly the same…I wear NRS Boundry Boots and KastKing Deflektor bibs and coat in the colder months
I've caught some big flatheads like a mile upriver from that ramp
That was my first time going up that way and all I kept thinking was this is flathead city!! Good to know, thanks!
My bass boat requires less time to launch and retrieve!
