I am smart enough to not try to define God or put him in a box. If the universe could wink, that wink would cover over 3,000 years of our history. There is no scientific data that says God exists, however, there is also no scientific data that says God does not exist. It is a choice of faith, and always has and will be.

Why the possibility of God should rely 100% on the Bible and the doctrine of Christianity and Catholic Church? There are +1000 different religions and philosophical point of view which also hold there is a God, and why should we limit such God to any religion? We know all religious texts have been written by men, evolved, and corrupted over time.

No religion owns God. Everyone should pursue their own journey to the almighty. Given enough time, any "prophecy" will come to pass especially on how cryptic they usually are and how they are interpreted. Remember, God is a God of love, and everything he does is from a loving perspective. I believe in Jesus because of what he said and did, not because I was told to or because my salvation depends on it. No religion has it right and usually has man made agendas they want to control people with using God to push it.

Moral of the story is: ignore the details, the philosophy of the Bible is simple and very useful. Something created the universe and we will likely never know what that was, humans have a purpose in relation to the Earth (custodians), the Earth has a purpose that likely has nothing to do with us, the universe has a purpose that likely has nothing to do with us, we need to exercise humility in order to accept our place in creation and if the creator turns out to be a conscious being we will have at least done a good job. Perhaps intelligence was a mistake because every other species on Earth plays it's role without even knowing it but we understand complex concepts like purpose and greater good but do nothing with it other than server ourselves :(

They compare god to ignorence because whenever humans cannot explain something (atleast in the past), they use god as an explanation, unaware that if they simply do more research or consider that in the future technology will be able to explain said phenomena, there wouldn't be a god necessary for the explanation. Thats where the comparison comes from, somebody who is ignorant will simply claim god as an explanation, others will instead actually search for the real explanation, and so far real scientific explanations always replace the old explanations that used god. Thats why he says that god is a slowly reducing pocket of ignorence.

Christians have the problem of taking the Bible far too literally. It shouldn't be taken lightly either, as we can learn from it and better our lives. But when you depend on it so much, to judge others instead of bettering yourself, you are missing the point. I believe the key to truth is seeing what works in both science AND religion. All of the sudden things become much clearer. However, our ego makes this damn near impossible for people on both sides. Let go of your pride and find the truth on its own terms people. It is God's word transcribed through humans giving us what we NEED, not what we want. and to anyone thinking the bible has suffered the telephone effect, log off this video and start searching for things that prove the bible hasn't been tampered with or why it is real. spending so much time watching why religions is false and not the other side is robbing you of not only knowledge but your life. being blindly led by those who claim to know the most.

    1. The assumption that the universe was just the size of a point at one time does not follow from the premise of the Big Bang. If the universe is infinite, then itwas also infinite in size at the beginning, because you cannot mathematically get a finite number by dividing infinity by any finite number. It always remains infinite.
    2. If the universe is defined as the totality of things that exist, i.e. that can theoretically affect us, then this god is necessarily part of the universe and not an outside force. If he is not part of the universe, he cannot affect us and therefore not have caused the universe.
This is what Tyson meant with this god being subject to scientific investigation. If he can have an effect on the universe, then he can be scientifically investigated. If he is beyond scientific investigation, i.e. has no observable effect on the universe, then he does not fulfill the definition of existence.

Here is my rough draft of not Super-positioning 0○and●1 Simultaneously but Superior Positioning -1○|○0●|1● Simultaneously
Dimensional -1 i Singularity Genesis Fractal Particle Theory
D-1iSGF Particle is able to Program itself but never the same result because the particle structure always changes through it's own awareness, By splitting itself into 2 using [ i,i ].
This -1 Particle is a dimension itself, containing information of self for Existence to be.
Explained below will show by awareness of self to see what self [is] arises [ i ]Manifestation of Possibilities, like you in a Dream Observing you aka "awareness" or you can be you in your Dream aka "awakened".
But in this case it happens simultaneously
    *
variable v - vibration is a energy source that reaches point to of (~f)
variable x - x is the enlightened number
variable (~f)- wave frequency is a perfect harmonic numeric energy code to access the Void
    variable [i,i] - infinit/infinit loop
    variable d - dimension
    variable p - particle
    variable m - manifestation
(-1) Particle⚫ reason is do to self being, because nothing else Interacts with the Particle Not even with itself, the equation of ( 0) -1p+0p= -1p or 0p+ -1p=-1p either will do. Then v(x)=(~f)see variables*
When the Particle does de-fusion it become two Particles○/○●=●. -1dp(~f)/2dp(~f)
    =1dp(~f)
because they are still one in the same❔
Almost like a Dream? Time is irrelevant Except within:
Void is Dimensional [ i ] Zero [+-0md(~f)], the Infinite Possibility of Manifestations that decodes the information from the Particle , to bring upon reality.
The second same Particle leaves the original Dimension, appearing in a time Manifestation of the Void. That's why the Void can never be filled.
    -1dp(~f)( +-0md(~f)) + 1mdp(~f)
    =1mdp(~f)
    1st manifestations dimension Fractal Particle
So -1 Dimension became 1 Manifestation Dimension in the void
Particles know when they're being observed because they Observe themselves.
So In combination of -1d and -+0d/1mdp you get:
    (-1dp(~f)+2mdp(~f))1mdp(~f) (+-0md(~f))
    +1mdp(~f))
    1mdp(~f) + 1mdp(~f)(1p(~f))
    1mdp(~f) + 1mdp(~f)
    = 2mdp(~f)
    Genesis?
Singularity 2 Dimensional Manifestation Fractal Particle.
Pure Thought Energy from the Particle that got decoded to information to Create Reality from Manifestation within the Void.. [-1dp(~f)(+-0md(~f))]+ 1mdp(~f)) + 2mdp(~f)
    1mdp(~f) + [-+0mdp(~f)] + 1mdp(~f) + 2mdp(~f)
    = 3mdp(~f)
Or 3rd Dimensional Manifestation Fractal Particle
Results of Possibilities immeasurable in 3 Manifestations Dimensions do to unknown variables, origin D-1iSGF
Eventually D-1iSGF goes back to -1dp(~f) or non-awareness
    And not -1dp(~f) , -+0md(~f), 1mdp(~f) then [ i,i ]
    All over, back to self-awareness.
[i] Information can never fill, just recycled in the same order...Destruction and Chaos
    Creation and Order
    You can't Change what works.
-1dp(~f), -+0md(~f), 1mdp(~f) this is known as Superior Positioning - this is the TAO_😀

The "receding" God is not such a bad thing. Imagine that you are digging a well looking for water. Every time that you encounter a rock, you say to yourself, if I can only break through the rock I will get to water, but you don't. It doesn't mean the water (or oil) is not there, it just means you need to dig deeper. So if we find out an event horizon beyond the big bang, and not find God, it just means that we broke though a rock, but we need to continue digging. It does not take away anything from the characteristics of God, nor does it reduce His function.

Hugh Ross argues that it's a phenomenological narrative, meaning that it describes how an observer (the spirit of God) would see the events unfolding from the surface of the earth (hovering over the waters in verse 2). It's from this perspective that changes in the earth's structure and atmosphere would be seen, first allowing light through and then the skies would clear up after some changes to allow the sources of light to be seen.

    Following Rene Descartes meditation
    Category 1: Minds
I exist and I am a mind. Therefore Minds exist.
    Category 2: Matter
I have feelings. These feelings originate from sensors in what I call my body. The sensors are receptive to stimulation from events created from within my body and from events created from outside my body. The stuff that bring about these events I shall categorise as matter. Thus my body is also made of matter. Therefore Matter exists.
    Category 3: Space
My body needs space and matter in general needs space. Matter can exist only in space. Therefore space must exist.
    Category 4: Time
My body needs time to change and matter in general needs time for change. Matter can change only in time. Therefore time must exist.
From the above observation I conclude that these 4 categories permeate each other and exist equally with none more abstract or less abstract than another.
Now to the question of the origin of these categories
Could it be that any one or more of these categories can be made from any one or more of the remaining categories? Could these categories transform from one to another?
Matter needs space and time for its existence, therefore without space and time matter will not exist as such matter could not have been the origin of space and time.
From physics it has been observed that space and time can give rise to matter spontaneously. As such matter maybe a result of a localized change to space and time.
So then could space and time be the origin of everything else?
Again from the theory of the Big Bang all space, time and matter originated from this singular event. Therefore space and time could not alone have brought about the other categories.
Since the big bang was an event, could it be that all things are made from events?
Where there is space, time and matter there is always an event.
There can be no space , time or matter without events.
In an instant all of space and the matter is nothing more or nothing less than a set of events. So then space, time and matter is one and the same as a set of simultaneous events from one instant to the next.
From this observation the 4 categories can be reduced to 2 categories
    Category 1 : Minds
    Category 2 : Events
Now then can minds exist without events. We know that simultaneous events give rise to feeling in minds. We know from special relativity simultaneous events cannot give rise to anything physical or material. Therefore feelings cannot be physical or material. Now as feelings are a part of minds we must conclude minds are not physical.
Now can the mind exist without feelings OR does feelings create the mind, that is one and the same as the mind?
If feeling create the mind then as feelings are created by events then space, time and matter which we have concluded is the same as events, must also have feeling and thus be one and the same as a mind.
Thus we would need to conclude a rock has a mind or is part of a mind to the same extent that my brain is a mind or is part of a mind.
This conclusion is not palatable as such let’s consider the OTHER alternative
Now if a mind can exist without feeling then we also know that the mind can create events. (e.g throw a rock, move a finger)
So then given that the mind can create events then the big bang (The Event) could have originated from The Mind in order to evoke feelings in other minds.
These other minds may have also been created by The Mind.

Neil my brother, please check that statement you made, I guess you might want to think it through..love you all.❤

science is not an end point but a process

Religion claims to have all the answers already, no matter how often those claims and assumptions have been proven wrong by our modern scientific observations. Science is a process that continually strives to ask questions and understand the universe. It is constantly improving on it’s understanding and has a self correcting mechanism embedded in the process. Religion has none of that, and faith unfortunately for believers, has and will continue to come up with a wide variety of contradictory and antithetical positions.

      @@amenra13Good sharing.👍
I will doubt any religion or science that claims to have ALL the answers to Life. At best we are all "Seekers" and "Probers". I need to remind myself of that. Thanks.

Fr. Andrew Quarshie - ... but religions do claim to have all the answers. Something good happens because “you love and obey god and he has rewarded you.” Something bad happens and “it’s part of god’s plan, you have been disobedient to god’s wishes and who are you to question god’s plan.”
Science never claims to have all the answers; only religions claim absolute certainty. You are using a false equivalence fallacy.

@@amenra13 If I speak for my faith or religion, I would say we must not claim to have ALL answers to Life, it will be funny to have such a claim. In my faith good things do not only happen to good people or those who love God. Good things can happen to anyone even if they don't believe in God. Bad things can happen to anyone; however, when things happen we use our faith to find meaning, harmony and peace to life's events.

deadend you can’t disprove a higher power created the Big Bang. So saying you know for certain that there isn’t a God is pretty ignorant.

Matter can not exist if it is not observed by consciousness. Consciousness is what science will never explain. God is the source of Consciousness.
