I almost exclusively buy secondhand and have been thinking about getting into 40s suits because of the higher armhole and more flattering drape. This video hit my feed at just the right time. Double breasted or nothing!
I like these suits but my preference for vintage suits are single breasted three piece suits from the late 1930s early 1940's. My only problem late 40s early 50s suits are the large lapels and short ties. but style is subjective some may not agree but that's just me
I love the Vintage 1940’s Men’s Suits and Cloths.
me too!
Those suits have nice shape, very elegant and functional
I think so too! Thanks
The second suit pattern is a glen check with possibly an over check The first two jackets had no vents in the back. The third jacket had double vents
Thanks!
Great video! Thank you for going in-depth. I wish off the rack suits and jackets were still this high of quality.
Thank you. I agree. Even though these were mass produced, the quality of them is so much above the current mass produced products.

I love your glasses, they frame your face perfectly!
thank you. Shuron. Maybe I'll do a video on them.
Nice wardrobe! Cheers from France
Thank you and hello!
Sort of a Cab Calloway in your worst nightmares.

I like those too. I don't mind the big lapels and short ties especially when paired with a great fedora.
I meant Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice.
Didn't they call the forties suits Zoot Suits?
Zoot Suits were a different cut than these. They were really long, think Cab Calloway.
Or maybe Beetlejuice in Beetlejuice.
Wore a suit and a hat.
Hidey hidey ho!
Huge lapel.
yes much bigger than todays.
