Not gonna lie, your first episode showed a lot of promise, but this one felt a bit weaker. The research mainly focused on Hercules and his feats (as well as the feats of his father and horse), while Maui's analysis was mostly either talking about mythology or comparing him to Hercules. It's noticeable how Hercules' analysis was around twice the length of Maui's. Compare to Madara vs Aizen where both of them had all their feats shown in a more equal amount of time (where they weren't as often being compared to each other). Another issue is the sounds (unlike the 1st episode, there was no music and instead of voice clips from the characters, you had random crap like Homer Simpson grunts & Wailord noises which kinda felt jarring and out of place). Sound is pretty important to stuff like this. Compare to Madara vs Aizen where it was their voices, music from at least one of the franchises & the sound effects felt fitting to what was happening) As for the actual fight animation itself, it was okay but it could've been better: realistically, transforming wouldn't have stopped the momentum of Maui being sent flying, the hook animation near the end was quite odd, and the ending of the fight itself was a bit abrupt in the transition to the hosts. Cpmpare to Madara vs Aizen where we got to see some aftermath and it let us take in the fact that just happened (rather than punch, break > directly to hosts) There was still some neat stuff in it though (like the creativity in Maui's transformations, as well as some of the banter between them about being demigods, and the location of the infinity stone) I do want this series to succeed, I really do. There's a lot of promise here, but as this is a new series, it's natural there'd be a couple of minor issues here. I'm looking forward to seeing it improve, and the fight choices so far are pretty interesting. Shadow vs Experiment 627 seems like a pretty unique choice that actually makes thematic sense :) Also, that jab at Death Battle near the start seemed a tad petty and unnecessary when you're trying to stand out on your own (they also do a lot of research for their show too. Not only do they show a lot of research in the show itself, they have an entire team of researchers, they sometimes mention some of the research in the "Death Battle Cast" & they used to have a spinoff show featuring some of the weirder stuff they found when doing said research "Desk of Death Battle") Though props to this show for doing research too and not just picking who you prefer like some others would do if they made this kind of show.
I mean to be fair, the fight is because of Disney so that’s something that’s out of his hands. Plus, not even Death Battle is immune to that. They had to pull a ton of strings such as using King Mickey instead of regular Mickey or using some action Disney shows that’s meant for action such as Gargoyles or American Dragon Jake Long
Given the information on the two, Hercules is easier to find and all over the place. Taking from just the shows, which Hercules Animated Series was still cannon(?), Maui wasn't given near as much information for there to be really anything to cover. However, I didn't see anyone pointing out the really big flaw in all this. Maui gets his powers... from the hook. No hook, Maui is a human. Hook = Demi-God powers.
Big criticism right away: You should stop throwing shade at Death Battle, it's frankly annoying and unprofessional, and makes you come across as petty.
Why people joke on death battle a lot how is it unprofessional edit:i meant to say why people like on them is that they are unprofessional and that their a hell of a lot popular then other versus channels
You say that like this isn't a webseries. Also how is it petty? It's just making a jab at a frankly pretty flawed webseries in its own right. That's sounding like some fanboyism ngl
There's also the fact that when Hercules rescued the gods he also shattered the chains that binded them with his sword, that includes the god who can make the constelations at 8:19 which are stars if I recall. So taking that into account Hercules sword also scales above mauis hook which passed the sun.
>Hercules is MSS and FTL due to constellation moving feats Didn’t an episode of the TV show confirm that the sky was a dome and the stars were living beings behind said dome that could move around by themselves? That means those 2 feats are invalid and Maui should have won.
It's best to keep in mind that most of Hercules tv show feats were done when he was a 14 to 15 year old teenager. He should be far more powerful as an adult in his Prime
Hercules is set in the world of Greek mythology. The sun isn’t a millions of times larger than the earth, neither is the sky, so those feats can’t really be used.
@@JustaRobot I think Death Battle was at least smart enough to tell She-Ra wasn't FTL because whenever she did, it was her steed. But to answer your question, Hercules.
I love jar so here’s a short review of this episode: ... what happened. The first episode was really good what happened here ok so first of all Is kinda weird that is 9 min long giving the fact that most vs shows are at least 15 minutes long but ok. Then you’ll notice that Hercule’s analysis is great they explained his backstory a little bit and how he isn’t a full god with some good explanation of his feats Maui however has the worst analysis in the show so far they literally just explain the difference between Disney Maui and mythology Maui and jump straight into his statements without any actual feats then explain his extra power of shape shifting then it ends in a really strange way with jar making a horrible joke (I think it was meant to be horrible but I didn’t laugh at the spongebob meme either) Then straight into the fight not even a “all the combatants are set” or something which is also a bit strange The fight is mostly fine it starts with this weird shot of Maui’s hair moving and when Maui transforms it mostly looks weird like there is a shot where Maui transformes from a whale to a bird and it had no spark and no build up like Maui was flying in one shot just to transform to a bird and magically be on land on another ? I also really don’t like the hand drawn stuff it just looked really awkward and unneeded Btw I’m not bashing jar or his team for this episode is not that bad for once I really like hercule’s analysis and every hit in the fight felt really impactful and the Maui sprite looks really good especially the shot after Maui transformes from a dolphin into a human that shot looked really good Overall good episode but there are some flaws with it that seemed off for me. 7/10 Stuff I think should be improved 1: so far most jokes I hear are meant to be bad and while these jokes are sometimes good I never really laughed at any of them so maybe stop making jokes that are intentionally bad 2: focus more on the story in the analysis: like i said Maui had no backstory or even a bit of personality talking on the analysis I get that feats are the most important thing in a vs show I get that. But there should at least be something about these guy’s’ backstory or personality 3: add a bit of transition: like I said the episode had weird transitions between each segment maybe try adding a wall that gets down and changes the screen or something to make it look less rushed Like I said this is in no way a hate comment I see how much effort and money went into that but just because it took effort dossent make it free from criticism and I feel all what I said needs a bit of improvement ❤️ (no homo) (well kinda)
@JustACommenter The production value for early Death Battle was also pretty low. If I remember correctly, only one guy was animating the first season of Death Battle.
Hey so question: why wasn’t there any mention of Kingdom Hearts Hercules? I figured using that franchise (a very confusing one at that) would give more information on Hercules
Technology, the show Hercules isn't canon to the movie, Disney made a point of saying that. But Jar did say he would occasionally combine continuities, but not all of them
Hello! I would like to know if you'd be interested to have information about a really OP (and rather obscure) character from ygo gx: Yubel. I did tons of research about that character (hundreds of screenshots) and if you wish we may talk about that (via discord or anything of that kind). I'd love to see rarely used characters being involved in something like that. Ah also Yubel's profile has been edited on vs battle wikia (and several ygo character profiels too). The profile has many proofs that show what Yubel is capable of. I hope this interests you and if you wish you can even record my voice (if we ever talk I can give explanations for Yubel's capacities) for a future video you may do. Yubel has so many hax and powers for a card game character it's almost absurd so I think it could be a good idea to show that some verses may be OP even if that's very surprising (Yubel can actually solo DBS).
@@superkamiguru4389 Really? That's cool of you! Glad to know my work interests someone. First of all yeah a few things to know about gx: it has 12 universes + a giant "world" that exists between those 12 universes. Due to that, there are several low multiverse beings (the three scared beasts (aka "sangenma" in the japanese dub), rainbow dragon, the light of destruction, elemental hero Neos, Nightshroud/Darkness, armityle etc ... Also due to powerscaling (Yugi and Judai/Jaden met and dueled during the last episodes of gx) some monsters from classic ygo are also low multiverse level (the egyptian gods (the tree sacred beasts are actually demonic versions of egyptian gods anyway so they should scaled to each others and the egyptian gods are named "sangenshins" (so judging by names we have 3 gods on one side nd 3 demons on the other side)), exodia, Horakhty, zorc, blue-eyes white dragon, dark magician etc ... The Light of destruction is an evil cosmic entity that is considered a threat to the multiverse. First of all we have a CRAZY speed feat in episode 102: the light of destruction uses a beam of light that barely did 30 meters and was intercepted by Elemental hero Neos ... who flew from "Dolphina" (an unsharted planet hidden by Jupiter and that is therefore always on the other side of Jupiter). Since light can cross 299 792 458 m/s but barely did 30 meters then the feat happened in 0.0000001 s So we have Neos who flew from Jupiter to Earth and intercepted a beam of light that was fire on planet Earth in 0.0000001 s (one ten millionth of a second). The minimal, average and maximal Earth-Jupiter distances are respectively, 591 000 000 000 m, 778 000 000 000 m and 965 000 000 000 m. Meaning Neos is: If the distance was minimal then Neos is 19 BILLIONS of times FTL 26 billions of times if it's aevrage and 32 billions if it's maximal Since the light needs at 1971 s, 2595 s or 3219 s to cover the Earth-Jupiter distance (depending if it's minimal, average or max). And keep in mind it's not just travel speed but can also be treated as a reaction and battling speed since he intercepted and overpowered a beam of light that was shot by someone. Neos is superior to the Light of destruction but despite that he is inferior to the 3 sacred beasts (who're themself inferior to Yubel). We know that because in season 3 they're trapped in one of the 12 dimensions (another universe). And the only way for them to escape is to provoke a clash between the strongest monsters: the 3 sacred beasts (stated by Jim Coook to be in the same league as egyptian gods btw) that are owned by Yubel (Yubel previously one shot those 3 low multiverse beings at the same time, while possessing a human (so not even with his/her real body) and by using only his/her aura. and Rainbow dragon (who will be owned by Johan/Jesse). Meaning even Neos isn't enough to provoke the clash and is therefore inferior to the sacred beasts/rainbow dragon (who're themself inferior to Yubel). Also Yubel himself/herself has a feat by the end of the season where he/she was going to fuse and destroy EVERYTHING in the twelve universes by using super polymerization and would have tanked a,d survived the explosion but was prevented from doing that by Jaden/Judai. That was for speed and AP (attack potency) as well as powerscaling. Yubel has crazy hax and powers: reality warping (even to low multiverse range), mind manipulation (so strong it can even affect those with resistance to mind manip), mind reading (so strong it can affect those with resistance to mind reading), teleportation, spatial manipulation, pocket reality dimension, mid godly regen (ability to regenerate even after the complete destruction of your body, soul and mind at the same time which means Yubel can come back after being hakaied by Beerus for example) once Yubel is in their real body, several forms of immortality, a total immunity to mind manipulation, memory manipulation and mind reading (and even beings who can bypass resistacnce to mind manip and tleepathy can't bypass Yubel's mental proetection meaning she's fully unaffected by that kind of power), soul manipulation, total invulnerability (can reduce damage she should receive to regardless of how strong they're), damage redirection (can automatically inflict damage he/she should receive to the one who inflicted them and it works even with range attacks), Death manipulation (can automatically cause the instant death of anyone who attacked him/her and it works even with range attacks), she can create flames that kill the touched person and cause the destruction of the target's soul and mind, anti intangibility (can damage spiritual entities, souls and other incorporeal beings), intangibility (superior to Obito's because Yubel can attack and affect the real world and tangible people while being still incorporeal), summoning ((can summon monsters for real and can even summon monsters with decks and duel disks who can summon monsters and use spell/traps for real and outside of duels), resurrection (even if Yubel's killed he/she can resurrect herself/jimself up to twice and each time it happens they transform into a stronger form), duplication (can summon copies of himself/herself with the same powers) Etc ... I decided to stop because it'd be too long otherwise (she has MANY other things) So yeah Yubel's really OP. Here you can check a CRT (content revision thread) where we (at vs battle wikia) decided to upgrade a part of ygo characters to low multiverse level (there was a debate and those who supported the upgrade won): www.vsbattles.com/threads/yu-gi-oh-gx-the-12-dimensions.118331/ Here you have the thread I made to give a lot more powers and abilities to Yubel www.vsbattles.com/threads/new-powers-for-yubels-list-of-powers-abilities.118690/#post-3874949 Here you have Elemental hero neos's profile vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Elemental_HERO_Neos And Yubel's profile (there are screenshots that can be used as proofs for most of their abilities): vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Yubel Here you have links to check how our tiering systems, attack potency system and speed system works: vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Tiering_System (Yubel and several ygo characters are tier 2-C) vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Attack_Potency vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Speed Feel free to tell me if you have any question. Ah also one little thing and I'll stop to annoy you, Yubel has a sort of 6th sense and hyper awareness allowing them to still be aware of their surrounding and have a conscious even while reduced to arn arm. And once Yubel had her real body, she was able to still has a conscious even if her body, mind and souls disappeared (but if that happened that wasn't because of an enemy: she erased herself just for fun to show she could always comeback regardless of what you throw at her to mock Jaden/Judai). So even without a functional body she knows what's around her AND can still use her powers (even complex ones like reality warping, mind reading, mind manip, telepathy etc ...). Even while her body, soul and mind were destroyed, she could manipulate particles of light to create a giant head of herself composed of light and later used and transmuted particles of lights to rebuild her body, souls and mind instantly, all that while bringing back an evolved copy of herself that was BFRed (battle field removed) to another dimension at the same time and once it was done she fused with that copy. Also Yubel can use several of her powers/abilities at the same time, like she can reality warp, create pocket dimensions, mind manipulate (with two different forms of mental enslavement) hundreds of persons, generate darkness etc ... WHILE her spirit was somewhere else the all time via astral projection and all that while she was in a human's body and without showing any sign of exhaustion. Hope I didn't annoy you with that wall of text ^^
@@Predaplanter True! And the verse's power is often misunderstood. many persons think it's full of building level monsters at best while it has many FTL characters/monsters who're often from planet to low multiverse level etc ...

*Steve vs The Terrarian (Minecraft vs Terraria)* A lot of people have been asking as to who would win in a fight between Steve from Minecraft and the Terrarian from Terraria. Having played both games for years, I think I may be able to answer this tricky question. Putting aside game mechanics, and just use the feats I collected from having played Minecraft for 7 years and 4 years for Terraria, here's how the battle would actually turn out to be. Rules: So Steve won't have access to Creative Mode, Commands, and Education Edition because they are said to be cheats in the Bedrock Edition, and aren't a valid and natural part of Steve's arsenal, and so is the Terrarian with Journey Mode. No Mods and Community DLCs either, because they're made by the fanbase, and thus counts as fanfictions, and I won't be using lore or the statements from the game developers of both games unless they show proof of it it due to them lying or bluffing about what they said (Terraria devs said that the cultists were trying to stop Cthulhu, but then later releases lore that says the cultists were worshipping Cthulhu, and were trying to revive him by freeing him from the Moon, and Minecraft Devs says the Ender Dragon can destroy everything if you say it's name, but the heads of ender dragons seen on end cities suggests that the ender dragon species have been hunted and defeated by unknown entities that have before, and there's no way one ender dragon can do such a thing because that would be like assuming a lion can destroy all of Africa, so this sounds a lot like a joke or a bluff). I also won't use Game Theory's "inventory strength feat" bullshit about Steve, nor the "Infinite" power bullshit that millions of kids wank both Steve and the Terrarian to be, because that would be appealing to No Limits Fallacy. These are the only valid sources of canon feats I'll use for both characters: Steve: Vanilla Survival with Hard Difficulty Minecraft: Dungeons Minecraft Animated Trailers Mobestiary Terrarian: Vanilla with Mastermode Difficulty Dungeon Defenders 2 Crossover Terraria DC Comic Feats and Skills: Steve: Steve in Vanilla MC and scaling to Dungeons characters could be around Town lvl to City lvl, judging by him surviving getting yeeted Iron golems, a sentient guardian capable of tossing elephant-sized creatures such as Ravagers and Elder Guardians a few meters away, tank blows from much bigger beasts like the Redstone Monstrosity, an evil golem capable of casually collapsing Village buildings with one fist and tear through stone statues with a slam, and heavy hitters like the Wither and Ender Dragon. The Wither is strong enough apart small mountains and split the sea with it's rage, yet Steve and Alex can tank blows from it with just enchanted iron armor, only needing milk and golden apples to counter it's wither effect. The Ender Dragon is a powerhouse that rules over the Center Island of the End Dimension, she is above the Wither as she is capable of tanking hits from the Wither without taking any damage at all, and she possess the power to completely disentegrate overworld matter that she touches, with the toughest material she can break, Netherite Blocks, can tank Charged Creeper explosions that reduce Iron and Diamonds to dust with a direct hit, putting the Ender Dragon around City lvl, or Mountain lvl scaling above the Wither after the 1.17 update. And yet Steve and Alex can block her charge attack with Enchanted Wooden Shields, survived her Acid Breathe with Enchanted Netherite Armor and Enchanted Apples, and pierce her thick scales with their Enchanted Netherite Swords, Tridents, and Bows. Scaling to Minecraft Dungeons characters such as Valorie herself, Steve is comparable in power to the Heart of Ender. After it was defeated by Valorie and her gang, the shattered pieces of the Orb of Dominance began to corrupt all corners of the MC world, from almost every biome to other dimensions like the Nether and End. The Minecraft world is measured to be around 29,999 Kilometers in size, slightly larger than the planet Uranus at 25,362 Kilometers, putting the maximum highball of Steve at Large Planet lvl. As for speed, both Steve and Alex can run at 14 MPH (19 MPH with Potion of Swiftness II), glide with the Elytra and Fireworks at speeds of up to 597 MPH, and can react to arrows and tridents moving at 204 MPH, vibrations picked up by the Warden which should be at 750 MPH, and on rare occasions, has even escaped lightning during storms, which puts Steve's highest reaction speed at 270, 000 MPH. Scaling to Valorie, they can react to the light beams of the Heart of Ender, meaning Steve can possibly dodge enemy attacks around 671,080,887 MPH with proper timing. Terrarian: The Terrarian, with just the use of early pre-hardmode, can already take out the body parts of Cthulhu that have corrupted the lands for 500 years, such as the King Slime Eye of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, and Skeleton. In the DC comic, the Eater of Worlds was seen tearing large holes on mountains and cities, and yet the Terrarian took it out with Platinum Gear, and considering the massive chasms in the Corruption biome in game clearly look like Worm Tunnels, this supports the Eater of Worlds being able to do this in canon. Even more impressive is King Slime being capable of causing storms of slimes that cover the entirety of an island, and considering how large the island is especially with the mountain ranges on the background, this easily puts King Slime at Large Island lvl. After getting stronger weapons, the Terrarian defeated the mighty Wall of Flesh, the guardian and core of the world which had sealed the ancient spirits of Light and Dark for 500 years, and after they were released, they terraformed the entirety of the Island the Terrarian is in, including the mentioned mountain ranges on the background. The Terrarian should be around the same level after absorbing the Wall of Flesh's Demon Heart, technically becominf the new Guardian of the world, at least that's what the Lore assumed. The Mechanical Bosses are laughably superior to the Wall of Flesh, and it took all three of them to restrain Plantera, the jungle creature that has cursed the whole Island, and defeating all four will give access to weapons strong enough to pierce the armor of Golem, a being made out of Lizhard Bricks so tough that materials like titanium, obsidian, adamantite, and chlorophyte are mere paper in comparison to it. By the Endgame, the Terrarian defeated the Celestial Pillars, four pillars that pulled four planetoids close to Earth. These planetoids are where the creatures that guard the pillars come from so they're legit planetoids so that makes the Terrarian around Planet lvl considering 3 of these planetoids are around the same size as the Moon, and the bigger one is much larger than the others. Oh, and he defeated Moon Lord, who is Cthulhu himself but missing half his powers so he just barely scales above all the Celestial Pillars at once. Based on the actually canon Crossover with Dungeon Defenders 2, the Terrarian obviously scales way above the Dryad. The Dryad fought alongside the Etherian Heroes and even matched them in power. The Etherian Heroes have defeated the Old One, which is Galaxy lvl as it's power created and sustained the Crystalline Dimension, which has a Spiral Galaxy within it, and it was destroyed after the Old One was defeated by the Ethernian heroes. As for movement speed, the Terrarian with Terraspark Boots can run up to 34 MPH, Fly and Swim at 76 to 100 MPH with the combined effort of Fishron Wings and Soaring Insignia. For reaction speed, he has reacted to the rapid fire laser weaponry of the Mechanical Bosses and the Martian Saucer, the cosmic rays of Stargazers, and the rapid light patterns of the Empress of Light herself, putting the Terrarian close to 671,080,887 MPH.
Results: As much as I love Minecraft more than Terraria, Steve doesn't stand a chance against Terrarian. Although Steve has the better fighing style compared to the Terrarian's generic "I must kill it before it kills me" strategy considering how creative he is in using his Sword and Shield in various ways as compensation for his much lower stamina and actually uses blocks and other items for defensive and evasive tactics more often than the latter, the Terrarian heavily outmatches him in offensive power and advanced technology, and even with Enchanted Netherite gear and Enchanted Apples, the Terrarian's rapid fire weaponry would just inevitably tear through his armor to shreds considering enemies such as Zombies and Vindicators have done it many times whenever they get too close, but unlike those creatures, the Terrarian can reach Steve at long distances since his Post-Plantera melee weapons are technically ranged weapons, plus his Cellphone and Hunter Potion would track him down, preventing him from hiding and resting in enclosed areas like caves and villages even if he sneaks or uses Potion of Invisibility. Steve can teleport away with Ender Pearls given their range, however, like most Minecraft resources, are very limited and he can only carry so much before they run out, not to mention he has to throw it and wait a few seconds to land, and like other thrown objects, are affected by gravity and have no parabola drawn as to show where the enderpearl will land, making it's accuracy poor. Meanwhile, the Terrarian has the Rod of Discord, a teleportation wand that never runs out and can be used endlessly, is unaffected by gravity, and instantly teleports the user to whatever specific direction he wants to go, and can even bypass walls, which Steve's Enderpearls cannot do. Steve's best chance against the Terrarian is his Enchanted Shield, as he can probably use it to block and deflect fatal shots from most of the Terrarian's powerful weapons like the Meowmere or S.D.M.G back at him, but considering the Terrarian's experience in fighting opponents with similar abilities, such as Selenians and the Dreadnautilus, he would just immediately switch to using weapons that are unaffected by deflection, like the Eventide or Terra Blade, and deal massive damage and rapid fire that would shred his Shield immediately, considering how Creepers and the Ender Dragon have done it many times. Although Steve can keep up with the Terrarian in reaction speed and heavily outmatches him in flight speed with just the simple combination of the Elytra and Fireworks, the Terrarian outpaces him with his more controlled flight plus endless flight time with the Soaring Insignia compared to Steve's limited supply of Fireworks, and has superior mobility in virtually everywhere in land, water, air, and even lava thanks to the combined efforts of the Fishron Wings, Terraspark Boots, and Master Ninja Gear. Conclusion: Steve may have had the creativity and flight speed to keep going, but in the end, the Terrarian survives the night thanks to his greater power, rapid attacks, higher intellect, advanced technology, durability, combat experience, and unpredictable versatility.
Maui's tattoo "feat" is the shakiest BS I've ever heard. The guy just tattooed his feat onto his body, the positioning of his tattoos has literally nothing to do with his actual physical feats or stats.
Partner: Where did he even get that? Are there pokemarts with anti-god potions? What's the story here? JAR: Well, it's...never explained. Me: Hey, geniuses! It was made by Hades, why is that not enough?
It’s never explained that it was made by Hades. It’s probably for the best that it’s not explained since the mere existence of the potion opens up a lot of questions.
@@KangarooMonkey fair enough but it takes away God hood which can be considered a type of death. Or (and I prefer this) you can say its just Mythology otherwise, you'd have to explain how a snake woman and a living tornado are the parents of a 2 headed dog, a 3 headed dog, 3 women with snakes for hair, a tiger/goat/snake hybrid and so much more.
4:53 I don’t think the tattoos are saying he was 20% the size of the sun, so I don’t think it’s saying that’s how quick it was Edit: let’s not forget Maui got beat up by a giant crab
Personally I don't buy either the tattoo sun feat or the constellation feats in hercules. The tattoo is a living entity replicating something maui did using very limited space and not actually hooking the sun in 1 second although I'm sure maui's actual sun feat that we don't see was also extrememly fast, just not 1 second fast. The constellations in hercules are also very clearly magical and the one specifically shown doing a Marilynn is clearly a living constellation. It's not exactly measurable is my point. Still really enjoyed the video even if I disagree with certain feats.
Hi, good episode. I got it right. Hercules won. I'm 2W | 0L. Next episode I'm going with Shadow. About the episode. The research was good. Hercules has shown more Star to higher feats compared to Maui, that why I thought Hercules will win. Maui has some a FTL speed feat but Hercules does too. The animation and sound isn't your strongest this episode but that's understandable. It's just your 2nd episode. I'll give the episode a 5/10.
I like where this series is going and want to support it, and rather than say what I found wrong and leave, I'm going to offer help; knowing how much the episode cost to make, I would cut down on the text time/sped up the animation to look less static. Unless I'm alone in this I'd rewatch the episode to read the text.
Yeah, you see... there were actually cartoon shows for both Hercules and Aladdin, so they decided to make a crossover even though it makes no sense. Basically, pretend that Kingdom Hearts is canon for Hercules and Aladdin and that they were just traveling between different worlds/times.

"And then along came Hercules, he hurl his left hook"
JAR, Scribble of the Adeptus Mechanicus
It was great to animate for this! Thanks JAR!
Compare to Madara vs Aizen where it was their voices, music from at least one of the franchises & the sound effects felt fitting to what was happening)
As for the actual fight animation itself, it was okay but it could've been better: realistically, transforming wouldn't have stopped the momentum of Maui being sent flying, the hook animation near the end was quite odd, and the ending of the fight itself was a bit abrupt in the transition to the hosts. Cpmpare to Madara vs Aizen where we got to see some aftermath and it let us take in the fact that just happened (rather than punch, break > directly to hosts)
There was still some neat stuff in it though (like the creativity in Maui's transformations, as well as some of the banter between them about being demigods, and the location of the infinity stone)
I do want this series to succeed, I really do. There's a lot of promise here, but as this is a new series, it's natural there'd be a couple of minor issues here. I'm looking forward to seeing it improve, and the fight choices so far are pretty interesting. Shadow vs Experiment 627 seems like a pretty unique choice that actually makes thematic sense :)
Also, that jab at Death Battle near the start seemed a tad petty and unnecessary when you're trying to stand out on your own
(they also do a lot of research for their show too. Not only do they show a lot of research in the show itself, they have an entire team of researchers, they sometimes mention some of the research in the "Death Battle Cast" & they used to have a spinoff show featuring some of the weirder stuff they found when doing said research "Desk of Death Battle")
Though props to this show for doing research too and not just picking who you prefer like some others would do if they made this kind of show.
I mean to be fair, the fight is because of Disney so that’s something that’s out of his hands. Plus, not even Death Battle is immune to that. They had to pull a ton of strings such as using King Mickey instead of regular Mickey or using some action Disney shows that’s meant for action such as Gargoyles or American Dragon Jake Long
@@daleketchup7434 the voice/music stuff you mean? Makes sense
@@ChakraWarrior2012 and the lack of a death scene. It was really a knock out at best
*Looks at Green Lantern VS Bem 10* Yeah...well researched...
This was short but still a good match. I love how JAR has kinda made himself the Boomstick of his own vs show
This video is trash and even says wrong shit
Big criticism right away: You should stop throwing shade at Death Battle, it's frankly annoying and unprofessional, and makes you come across as petty.
I think It's comedic that they do it
Why people joke on death battle a lot how is it unprofessional
edit:i meant to say why people like on them is that they are unprofessional and that their a hell of a lot popular then other versus channels
I think it's all in good fun, I doubt he actually dislikes Death Battle
You say that like this isn't a webseries. Also how is it petty? It's just making a jab at a frankly pretty flawed webseries in its own right. That's sounding like some fanboyism ngl
Rewind sent me, let's see what's up!
Disney: (in crusader armor) robot! Have you pitted two of our characters in a fight to the death recently?! (pumps shotgun) *UNACCEPTABLE!*
There's also the fact that when Hercules rescued the gods he also shattered the chains that binded them with his sword, that includes the god who can make the constelations at 8:19 which are stars if I recall. So taking that into account Hercules sword also scales above mauis hook which passed the sun.
The return of feats vs statements. Nice that rewind appeared.
Actually they used statements for Hercules as well
@@zillasaiyan1m274 r/whoosh
So? Will we see Kratos vs Asura?
>Hercules is MSS and FTL due to constellation moving feats
Didn’t an episode of the TV show confirm that the sky was a dome and the stars were living beings behind said dome that could move around by themselves? That means those 2 feats are invalid and Maui should have won.
Hercules still scales above Maui regardless
Plus Maui's Tattoo scaling is really Questionable
It's best to keep in mind that most of Hercules tv show feats were done when he was a 14 to 15 year old teenager. He should be far more powerful as an adult in his Prime
@@smartmouth1819 Not to mention according to the TV show, Hades said Herucles lifted the sun.
@@22kingdomheartsfan
Yeah, that's true.
Hercules is set in the world of Greek mythology. The sun isn’t a millions of times larger than the earth, neither is the sky, so those feats can’t really be used.
Speaking of Shadow my MU idea for this series is Archie Shadow vs Heaven Ascension Dio
Archie Chaos Control vs Heaven Ascension Za Warudo
7:34 what do you mean moved a constilation? It shows right there that's Pegasus doing it not Hercules! Why are you contributing that to Hercules!?
I was thinking the same thing
Who do you think would win in a fight? Do you think it’s Pegasus?
@@JustaRobot I think Death Battle was at least smart enough to tell She-Ra wasn't FTL because whenever she did, it was her steed.
But to answer your question, Hercules.
@@JustaRobot I think you could argue Hercules can react to FTL since he was riding and steering Pegasus

I love jar so here’s a short review of this episode:
... what happened. The first episode was really good what happened here ok so first of all Is kinda weird that is 9 min long giving the fact that most vs shows are at least 15 minutes long but ok. Then you’ll notice that Hercule’s analysis is great they explained his backstory a little bit and how he isn’t a full god with some good explanation of his feats
Maui however has the worst analysis in the show so far they literally just explain the difference between Disney Maui and mythology Maui and jump straight into his statements without any actual feats then explain his extra power of shape shifting then it ends in a really strange way with jar making a horrible joke (I think it was meant to be horrible but I didn’t laugh at the spongebob meme either)
Then straight into the fight not even a “all the combatants are set” or something which is also a bit strange
The fight is mostly fine it starts with this weird shot of Maui’s hair moving and when Maui transforms it mostly looks weird like there is a shot where Maui transformes from a whale to a bird and it had no spark and no build up like Maui was flying in one shot just to transform to a bird and magically be on land on another ? I also really don’t like the hand drawn stuff it just looked really awkward and unneeded
Btw I’m not bashing jar or his team for this episode is not that bad for once I really like hercule’s analysis and every hit in the fight felt really impactful and the Maui sprite looks really good especially the shot after Maui transformes from a dolphin into a human that shot looked really good
Overall good episode but there are some flaws with it that seemed off for me. 7/10
Stuff I think should be improved
1: so far most jokes I hear are meant to be bad and while these jokes are sometimes good I never really laughed at any of them so maybe stop making jokes that are intentionally bad
2: focus more on the story in the analysis: like i said Maui had no backstory or even a bit of personality talking on the analysis I get that feats are the most important thing in a vs show I get that. But there should at least be something about these guy’s’ backstory or personality
3: add a bit of transition: like I said the episode had weird transitions between each segment maybe try adding a wall that gets down and changes the screen or something to make it look less rushed
Like I said this is in no way a hate comment I see how much effort and money went into that but just because it took effort dossent make it free from criticism and I feel all what I said needs a bit of improvement
❤️ (no homo) (well kinda)
Yes Maui is a human cry about it
Sadly I agree. I’d honestly watch a S1 Death Battle episode over this.
@JustACommenter The production value for early Death Battle was also pretty low. If I remember correctly, only one guy was animating the first season of Death Battle.

I'm interested with what u got it sounds interesting.
Since light can cross 299 792 458 m/s but barely did 30 meters then the feat happened in 0.0000001 s
So we have Neos who flew from Jupiter to Earth and intercepted a beam of light that was fire on planet Earth in 0.0000001 s (one ten millionth of a second).
The minimal, average and maximal Earth-Jupiter distances are respectively, 591 000 000 000 m, 778 000 000 000 m and 965 000 000 000 m.
Meaning Neos is:
If the distance was minimal then Neos is 19 BILLIONS of times FTL
26 billions of times if it's aevrage
and 32 billions if it's maximal
Since the light needs at 1971 s, 2595 s or 3219 s to cover the Earth-Jupiter distance (depending if it's minimal, average or max).
I decided to stop because it'd be too long otherwise (she has MANY other things)
So yeah Yubel's really OP.
Here you can check a CRT (content revision thread) where we (at vs battle wikia) decided to upgrade a part of ygo characters to low multiverse level (there was a debate and those who supported the upgrade won): www.vsbattles.com/threads/yu-gi-oh-gx-the-12-dimensions.118331/

Here you have Elemental hero neos's profile vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Elemental_HERO_Neos
And Yubel's profile (there are screenshots that can be used as proofs for most of their abilities): vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Yubel
Here you have links to check how our tiering systems, attack potency system and speed system works:
vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Tiering_System (Yubel and several ygo characters are tier 2-C)
vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Attack_Potency
vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Speed
Feel free to tell me if you have any question.
A nice to see another Yu-Gi-Oh fan!

*Steve vs The Terrarian (Minecraft vs Terraria)*
A lot of people have been asking as to who would win in a fight between Steve from Minecraft and the Terrarian from Terraria. Having played both games for years, I think I may be able to answer this tricky question.
Putting aside game mechanics, and just use the feats I collected from having played Minecraft for 7 years and 4 years for Terraria, here's how the battle would actually turn out to be.
Rules:
So Steve won't have access to Creative Mode, Commands, and Education Edition because they are said to be cheats in the Bedrock Edition, and aren't a valid and natural part of Steve's arsenal, and so is the Terrarian with Journey Mode.
These are the only valid sources of canon feats I'll use for both characters:
Steve:
Vanilla Survival with Hard Difficulty Minecraft: Dungeons
Minecraft Animated Trailers
Mobestiary
Terrarian:
Vanilla with Mastermode Difficulty
Dungeon Defenders 2 Crossover
Terraria DC Comic
Feats and Skills:
Steve:
Steve in Vanilla MC and scaling to Dungeons characters could be around Town lvl to City lvl, judging by him surviving getting yeeted Iron golems, a sentient guardian capable of tossing elephant-sized creatures such as Ravagers and Elder Guardians a few meters away, tank blows from much bigger beasts like the Redstone Monstrosity, an evil golem capable of casually collapsing Village buildings with one fist and tear through stone statues with a slam, and heavy hitters like the Wither and Ender Dragon.
Terrarian:
The Terrarian, with just the use of early pre-hardmode, can already take out the body parts of Cthulhu that have corrupted the lands for 500 years, such as the King Slime Eye of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, and Skeleton.
Results:
As much as I love Minecraft more than Terraria, Steve doesn't stand a chance against Terrarian.
Conclusion:
Steve may have had the creativity and flight speed to keep going, but in the end, the Terrarian survives the night thanks to his greater power, rapid attacks, higher intellect, advanced technology, durability, combat experience, and unpredictable versatility.

So far I am really loving this series jar
Of course another damn sonic fight
He was too hooked, resulting in his loss
Ok so it takes 3 weeks. So far so good, making a series where you actually are keeping up
I actually like this, sure the animation isn’t as good but there’s far better explanation
That was a nice knock out. Props to the OP boy.
But Asura vs Kratos? Oooooooo...
I think kratos would beat asura if we use the lore
@@user-ec9um8xl2w
I dunno based on what the games showed.
Red claw vs experiment 629
You all should do a final fantasy character like Exdeath
4:53
I don’t think the tattoos are saying he was 20% the size of the sun, so I don’t think it’s saying that’s how quick it was
Edit: let’s not forget Maui got beat up by a giant crab
watch till the end we go over that
Can you do your version of Steven universe vs star butterfly
Personally I don't buy either the tattoo sun feat or the constellation feats in hercules.
The tattoo is a living entity replicating something maui did using very limited space and not actually hooking the sun in 1 second although I'm sure maui's actual sun feat that we don't see was also extrememly fast, just not 1 second fast.
The constellations in hercules are also very clearly magical and the one specifically shown doing a Marilynn is clearly a living constellation. It's not exactly measurable is my point.
Still really enjoyed the video even if I disagree with certain feats.
Donkey Kong vs Maui
But, can either of them beat a decapod?
Idk if it’s just me but I thunk the fights you be a little better with background music they sound a little quiet
Please do princess luna vs freddy kreuger
I like where this series is going and want to support it, and rather than say what I found wrong and leave, I'm going to offer help; knowing how much the episode cost to make, I would cut down on the text time/sped up the animation to look less static. Unless I'm alone in this I'd rewatch the episode to read the text.
3:00 what? How? Doesn’t Aladdin take place during the golden age of Islam? 3000 years apart from Hercules?
Yeah, you see... there were actually cartoon shows for both Hercules and Aladdin, so they decided to make a crossover even though it makes no sense. Basically, pretend that Kingdom Hearts is canon for Hercules and Aladdin and that they were just traveling between different worlds/times.
(Ideas i insist you use)
Kirby vs martian man hunter
Bowser vs monsterverse godzilla
Super mario vs superman
Scary terry vs scary teri
Persona 5 joker vs lupin the 3rd
Patrick star vs monkey d luffy
Mega man vs cuphead
Road runner vs sonic
Yall need to get an animation team or something lmao
Wow this is just like the first seasons of death battle
Still better then the second one they did
Seems unlike death battle your putting more effort into the information instead of the animation :D
I mean this in the best was possible
I feel like you need a transition between the analysis and the start of the fight. I would love to whip something up if you'll like. Note I am a student so it might not one that great.
Absolutely pog
Could you make Seiya from Saint Seiya vs Sephiroth or madoka from madoka magica vs Sephiroth hope vs despair please?
(I want to see Sephiroth being reduce to atoms, or erased from existence)
Very interesting.🤔
saw another comment saying to do omni man vs Bardock which makes sense because they both want their son to conquer a planet. plz respond to your opinion on this fight (btw this isn't my idea this was by yuno gasai and he made a kist and I of his ideas thought this one was the best)
Here are My Top 10 versus ideas that I just want to see animated, take your pick:
- Izuku Midoriya (Deku in the current manga) vs Brandon Breyer (Brightburn)
- Composite Kirito vs. Mace Windu (Star Wars Legends)
- Queen Elsa vs King Sombra (Frozen in Fear)
- Ginormica vs Starscream (MvA Movie ,series & PS Game vs Transformers Prime only series & game )
- Kya vs Sticks the Badger (Dark Lineage vs Sonic Boom)
- Undyne vs Pyrrha Nikos
- Composite Godzilla vs Lavos ( strongest variation of Godzilla vs Chrono Trigger)
- Laura Croft vs. Captain Rex
- April O'Neil vs Rasputin Aquatos (TMNT 2012 vs Psychonauts)
- Alice Liddell vs Chara Dreemurr (American Magee ,Madness Returns, & Asylum vs Undertale/Deltarune)
Kratos vs comic book Thanos.
TBH disney hercules vs kratos would be an interesting fight. Dunno if repeat contestants are allowed though. Perhaps disney thor vs kratos instead for the time being?
If said contestant won, then they can return. It is the losers that cannot return.
When do we get Jimmy Neutron V.S. Dr. Neo Cortex?
Are the animated series even canon to the Hercules movie?
Plus, "planet surface busting" sounds like Multi-Continent level
They are the same thing
There was an Aladdin crossover!!?? I watched Aladdin series as a kid but not Hercules.
Why are you making shadow fight 627? Isn't that an easy stomp in shadows favor?
We will be using 627 from both the anime and cartoon
@@JustaRobot minor nitpick, but didn’t the shark like alien (I don’t know his name) state that Leroy is not 627 and Jumba already made 627?
That’s 629
@@JustaRobot really? I guess I need to rewatch Lilo and Stitch
Would you do a doctor (from doctor who) battle royal?
Damn, I was right and I still lost a debate about this XD
¿Quien a ganado?
Asura is 5D. I know that much
I want everyone to know that jar said controlling time is 4d
That video was misunderstood because I was talking about different dimensions then the vs kind. I’ll be remaking that video soon.
@@JustaRobot you said some video game character was 4d just cause he can manipulate time so nothing is misunderstood.
@@JustaRobot you even got laughed at for not knowing dimensional tiering when you was in splash sever 🤣🤣🤣
@@JustaRobot also you know “planet surface” isn’t a tier 💀💀,as a TH-camr you need to get better cause you talk to much shit to people to not know simple tiering,I’m curious do you still think it’s such a thing as “small time line buster”🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hercules Meg Griffon confirmed
Idea
Father vs Ozai (Codename: Kids Next Door vs Avatar: The Last Airbender)
My review
I look for 3 main things pre Analysis, the animation, post Analysis.
Pre Analysis: 7/10
Animation: 9/10
Post Analysis: 6/10
Próximamente: Lápiz lazuli (Steven univers vs la princesa flama ( hora de aventura).
Herk take hook, Maui no god-like. Just human.
Here from smash bracket
Albert Wesker (resident evil) vs Deathstroke
You mean Showdow vs Leroy
That's 629
Yeah I know that's his real name but I met his nickname because each different number alien AKA cousin is always nicknamed because some of us can't figure out what number they are
I don’t know if who’s doing the research for the next battle, nor do I know if the reseach is already, fully finished. However, all I ask of whoever’s behind the research is this:
*Please* don’t downplay Super Shadow to planet or star level and FTL. And please don’t downplay Base Shadow by saying he isn’t FTL either.
Also, if you’d ever like for me to help you research anything Sonic-related in the future, I’d be more than happy to.
Can you please have music to your next video... I tend to get bored watching without music. I spoiled by movies
